They quoted only a £49 call-out fee, with no mention of any weekend or emergency surcharges. A plumber from their subcontractor, ADI Tradesmen Group, replaced a cistern box costing £65, which took about an hour and a half to complete.
After finishing, they asked me to pay £674, when I questioned the amount, I was told they “don’t have an hourly rate” and that charges depend on the “complexity of the job”. I later sent several emails requesting a breakdown or invoice but received no reply.
ProFix Emergency has since removed its Google business page and all reviews.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with any service provider – misleading pricing, no transparency, and zero accountability.
Do not use ProFix Emergency or ADI Tradesmen Group.

I made an emergency call out as there was a leak under my kitchen sink & my kitchen was flooded. They told me it was £49 once the technician arrived & then whatever work needed doing would be charged on top. They told me 2 hours maximum & did not state there would be any charge for cancellation if they didn’t arrive in that time. 1.30 hours later the driver called me saying he would be 40mins. I called the agency back to tell them to cancel the job as I had managed to find someone else to sort it. The woman on the phone told me I would still have to pay her the £49 call out fee. I told her that was not stated and I refused to pay it & to tell the technician it’s cancelled. 45 mins later the technician rang me again saying he was on my road. I told him the job was cancelled and that I had informed the agency. He then shouted at me down the phone that he had lost his pay because of me & put the phone down on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & to be honest he’s lucky he didn’t turn up to my house with that attitude.

Extremely responsive, came within hours after calling following a leak, very friendly and fixed the problem quickly. Excellent service, thank you. Our new go-to company.
It's a year since Tom replaced my back boiler with a combi boiler and he has just been back and done my one year service. As before Tom was prompt, polite and excellent. I highly recommend Profix projects (formerly proheatingboilers). Thanks again Tom.
Tom has recently replaced my old broken boiler after ongoing issues. Tom provided us with a quote within the day and was out to fit our new boiler a couple of days later. He left to area spotlessly clean and removed all of the old parts for us.
We have had no issues at all since and we would 100% use pro heating again.
Highly recommended
ProHeating boilers have just removed my old boiler replacing with new. There was a small pressure issue which they rectified by returning and fixing straight away.
All working great now ! ….. Happy customer
Fast and efficient service at a good price. Went from storage heaters to full gas central heating in a day and a half.
Tom has been great to deal with: Great communication, he keeps an eye on his messages and keep you well informed of any details and updates, his prices were excellent and I am very happy with the product provided.
He also kept my house very clean and furnishings safe while changing the boiler, which I am very grateful for. He is just applying the final touches and all will be done. 🙂
Tom brought along his father to help lift the new boiler up into the loft where the old one came out of. Tom had originally quoted for one make of boiler but was happy to give me a price on another, which we went for. He arrived as predicted in the morning and was leaving within six hours, taking the old boiler and packaging and unwanted plumbing with him. We had a radiator removed from a cupboard, a new thermostat supplied and two radiators were fitted with thermostatic valves. All in all, a very good job was done and our 21 year old boiler will not be letting us down in the middle of winter. A split waste water pipe was found when accommodating the condensate pipe, which they helped to replace.
New boiler installation:
Tom was efficient from day 1- from replying to my initial enquiry to completion of job.Explained everything clearly and worked swiftly and tidily.Would not hesitate to recommend ProHeating to anyone😃
The team arrived just after 8 am each one dealing with their part of the new installation. Putting the boiler into a new location and removing the old one. This was all done in the day, just getting used to a different boiler and new thermostat. A job well done.
Great job - I had a boiler installed with proheating and it couldn’t have been easier. Quick, tidy and friendly. Will definitely use Proheating again.
Tom had provided a very competitive quote for replacing our boiler. He turned up on time, replaced our old boiler, taking away the old boiler and ensuring that the new boiler was operating appropriately. Tom is a great guy, gets on with the job and replaced our boiler in less than a day. I would definitely recommend Tom.
Our Water cylinder had split and we needed a replacement asap as we had no running water or central heating. Tom from Proheating ordered one the same day and fitted it 2 days later. We were back up and running that evening and had our first proper shower in days! - An absolute professional - highly recommended.
Everyone arrived on site in good time to begin the fitting of our new boiler. They immediately got on with removing old boiler and the work was split between the three plumbers on site. Once old boiler out they worked as a team on the installation preparation along with adjusting the important gas pipes connected to the meter. After this new boiler in, flue fitted, roof made good, new connections made in all areas. Differentctest were made and then switch on and make adjustments. Instructions given on the controls all fired up heating on hot water on and completed.
We went with proheating being a local company and we were glad we did. Tom arrived to give us a quote which we received the same day. Had the new boiler installed within the week by Tom he explained all about the boiler and setting he also setup the room programmer he also told us any problems to give him a ring.
Tom was professional and reliable would use again no problem. Thanks.
Totally recommend Proheating, Tom was great offered us three options, from quote to fitting very quickly, extremely professional and answered any questions
Fantastic job
Excellent tradesman, very tidy and fair pricing. Good set of lads too.
