I took one star off as it was confusing with a two step verifacation code. My main worry however was not getting a single sheet of paper actually saying "Certificate of Motor Insurance" as I've al... See more

We're moving house and our new property needed insuring as soon as contracts were exchanged. As an existing customer with Aviva I had hoped to bridge the 2 properties with one policy. Disappointingly not an option; Aviva, you need to look at this.
Tried taking out a new policy for our new property to find the quote was higher than the renewal (due in 2 weeks) quote for our existing larger (more valuable) property.
Tried Go Compare and Aviva came in cheapest; £80 lower than the quote we received direct. Doesn't inspire loyalty in your customers. You got my business but only but chance. Must try harder!
I chose Aviva after using Martin Lewis comparison site. The price & cover was very competitive.
Once transferred to the Aviva website the process was easy completing to start the car insurance policy.
Very happy with the entire process and would recommend Aviva to others.
I hate using chatbots. It may be Aviva's preference but it's not mine, so I phoned. After the usual tedious recorded message (lots of patronising, irrelevant and massively irritating information, many completely useless options) I spent 12 minutes on hold, and was forced to listen to that terrible music. I finally got through to a human who took my details then cut the call for no reason and without asking me. He put the shockingly poor music back on, and transferred me to the wrong department. More time on hold; more time explaining to the wrong department; they transferred me to the right department - more time on hold with that horrible 'music'. After 25 minutes of this mickey-taking I was able to have the 90 second conversation necessary to get the information I needed. They call this the customer 'service' department. Fill in your own punchline. When it comes to renewal I will be looking for a company with a better reputation for phone support.
Straightforward and comprehensive options for insurance at a reasonable price

All good great products at sensible affordable prices, makes a huge difference, had an issue setting up an account, but finally someone called and was nice to actually speak to person who got the issue sorted straight away
I value honesty and fairness, and I try to approach situations with grace and integrity. However, I feel genuinely disappointed with my recent quote from Aviva.
I’ve been offered an annual car insurance price of £514, alongside a £450 excess, for a 2011 vehicle. For something older and likely lower in value, this feels disproportionate and difficult to justify.
I also have 9 years of no claims discount, yet my premium seems to increase year after year rather than decrease. This is particularly discouraging, as careful driving and loyalty don’t appear to be reflected in the price.
I understand that pricing is based on risk and many factors behind the scenes, and I respect that companies need to operate sustainably. But from a customer perspective, this quote feels excessive and discouraging.
I hope for more transparency and fairness in how prices like this are determined. At the moment, it leaves me feeling that loyalty and reasonableness aren’t being reflected in the cost.
I hope this feedback is received, honest but respectful and that it might contribute in some way towards more balanced pricing for customers in similar situations.
I've just changed to Aviva. Whilst it was not the cheapest quote I received, I opted for the Gold Standard, and paying monthly their interest rates was the most competitive and they do not charge for policy changes, I've also dealt with them before a few years ago. I only left because their increase for renewal was too high.
Policy increased by £200 per month despite no changes other than moving house. Aviva stated this was due to the policy lapsing for more than seven days—I was in the middle of a move and didn’t realise auto-renew wasn’t in place, so the lapse was around 14 days.
The cars, coverage, and usage all remained exactly the same. I would have accepted a reasonable admin fee for the lapse, but an additional £2,300 per year feels excessive and unjustified.
SIMPLE ON LINE AND BEST VALUE CHEAPER THAN 2ND YEAR QUOTE FROM 1ST YEAR (ANOTHER) COMPANY.
Quite straight forward, easier than the other comparative web site
I tried for car insurance from aviva
But aviva can’t find my car I don’t know
Not good
