It took 7 times to come out to finally have our system running. The first SALESMAN was just that only trying to make a commission. The last two servicemen finally knew what they were doing. But there were two blown off appointments, and one that was to be between 11 and 3 and know one showed up till 7:30PM. If you want frustration this is the company to go with

ADT used a “bait and switch” tactic on us.
What we ended up with was far from what their representative promised us on the phone and much more expensive. I should have walked away and picked a more open and honest provider.

Fake RING doorbell has not worked since the day it was installed. Scheduled a service appointment to have it fixed and the technician did not show up until 7:30p. Defenders is a sham DO NOT USE THEM! Save your money and purchase a real RING system.

Technician was trying to cut down the work rather than giving a full scope and additional details

I was not aware that I was purchasing an alarm system from a third party company. I also wanted a camera monitoring system that was not given to me as promised by the customer service rep and I was told later on that my panel was old and not compatible with the ringer that is offered by ADT.

Didn't complete the work. There were cameras supposed to be installed and he didn't still them because we didn't have the internet. Yet.

Replacemnt of older ADT instalation that was no longer operative.
Installer repaired a garage door lock set during the instalation (5*)
Left off the door sensor from a rear door. Replaced in r8 hours once ADT notified. (2*)
Installer broke the front interior handle off during door sensor instalation. (0*) process to obtain a replacement is ongoing and complicated

Post installation issues and follow up are a pain. Multiple false alarms from 1st bedroom motion sensor. My own camera show no motion but all keeps going off. Installer won’t address the issue.

Happy to have them protecting my home... Very knowledgeable on all aspects of home protection... All questions answered by tech.. He neve had to say, wait I'll ask someone..

I did not get the thing I was promise There was a catch $300 and $400 to activate camera's and u couldn't get billed for it.
They mislead you and the way they try to make up to you but it wasnt good enough because I didnt get my doorbell camers

They fix everything ok however making an appointment is sometimes troublesome. They apparently don’t communicate with each other. As a result we received multiple calls and the person doesn’t know the reason.
In our case, we still didn’t get two more outside cameras which they are supposed to install within a week.
One technician came to our house without a camera and said we still waiting for it. A perfect example of non-communication among themselves.
Anyways, ADT is a good security provider in our nation with a good repute but it would be much easier if they customer service convey the message among themselves.

I feel that I was scammed by ADT. Because I am a senior, my family members feel I am no longer capable of handling business, because of what transpired with ADT. I called and I gave my credit card to charge the $104 and change for the $99 plus tax special. I was told I would be given several perks for signing up. One of the main ones was money for extra cameras. When the tech came, he said I had to pay an installation fee which came to over $300 and there were no cameras available. He installed the alarm pad before he sat down to talk with me. I am now being charged over $500 for something I was told would cost $99 plus tax. This was truly a bait and switch tactic that I will put on the community website to warn my neighbors. I also had to pay $750 to get out of my current contract with another company whose rep said that ADT was supposed to ask about my current contract before installing anything.

Wonderful experience and great service

I wanted to get things started on 5/15, which is the day my current plan ends. Jason Scott did not explain things well to me and it is indeed the billing cycle starts on 5/15, I'm still being charged since 5/4.Also Jason Scott promised that he would help me install a door camera and left his number on a piece of paper so I can call him when the camera is ready, but after he left I could not find the number anymore. it's reasonable to assume he took it away when he left. Anyway, I installed it myself. You guys are just trying to trick the customer into signing the contract in whatever way possible. I will definitely not recommend ADT with other friends.

I was promised a referral fee of $100.00 by a sales manager when I first inquired about the promo by ADT, Tracy Smith #21023. At the of the installation, I called sales again but a manager said that ADT doesn't give referral fee.
