Dear Mr Meah. Sorry that you feel that way. A bit harsh to leave a 1 star review purely based on reading the reviews though?

They left my property uncovered for a week for giving them one star on Trustpilot!

Order number: PR4642

I added a review on Trustpilot on the 5th of March (mainly about the claim handler)

As they have changed the insurer and claim handler, I bought 3 policies on the 7th of March.

As I did not receive the policy documents after 7 days of the purchase and full payment. I called customer service and spoke to Nicola who confirmed they are not keen to process the 3 policies as I left a poor Trustpilot review. They have considered this a poor business relationship! They did not bother to contact me with the decline before I made my phone call, leaving one of my properties uncovered!

Please remember I sent an email to the manager to explain the situation regarding the insurer and claim handler before the first review, but he did not respond!

I will send you a formal complaint and take it to the ombudsman if I don’t hear from you within 28 days of receiving the complaint!

I'm a Professional Landlord and have…

I'm a Professional Landlord and have worked with this broker for several years. I have always found the customer service to be exceptional. I even took out more products with them this year. I have read through some of the angry reviews on this site and I understand some of the insurance companies dont match the brokers customer service. This company offers very cheap insurance and hence the restrictions on some of the policies are much tighter. The upside is the price undercuts more expensive policies by about 70% a massive saving - particularly if you dont need to make a claim. So really its "horses for courses" - if you want peace of mind but might never make a claim your basically saving 70% on more expensive policies.

SAY NO TO THIS POLICY...Sadly I cannot recommend landlord home…

Sadly I cannot recommend landlord home emergency cover with this company.
The policy was willingly sold but failed when I tried to make a claim about a leaking toilet.
I was on hold for 25 minutes to report the claim . Gave up and called again when they answered after 17 minutes.
You get through to an agent who then passes it on to the insurer.
They claimed to have called my tenant but hadn't. I had to get the company I bought the policy from to intervene.
A contractor came , looked at the toilet , left the house and said he had to order a part ?????
B&Q was actually 5 minutes away and was open...but why did a plumber attend a call out for a toilet without having parts in his van ?
Maybe they get paid twice for the call our.
Anyway...we are still waiting for him to come back.
I can only recommend DO NOT BUY.

I'm sorry you felt the need to write this review. As you know you contacted us yesterday as your brokers because you hadn't received a call back from the contractors to book in a time for them to call. I thought that I had dealt with this, contacting the claims line and getting them to contact your tenant and within 90 minutes you confirmed that an appointment was booked and I assumed that we had resolved your issue. Now it turns out that the issue has not been resolved. At this time of night (10pm) there is very little that we can do. I am not sure what the claim is, or the reason why the claim has not been resolved, but first thing in the morning I will get to the bottom of what has happened. It won't make this review go away, but we always try and help when asked. If we don't know there is an issue then it's difficult for us to help. I will contact you in the morning, once I've determined what has happened.

No help whatsoever.

The electrics to the kitchen of the rental property I own went off leaving the tenant without power to the cooker, washing machine etc. I thought no problem I am covered by the Co Plus landlords emergency policy sold to me by protect your things. Someone came out but couldn't fix it. I was told they would get back to me. After several days without power for my tenant I had to chase them. Someone else without the required skills was sent out and couldn't solve the problem. I then get a call telling me to refer it to the buildings insurence. Buck passed. The Electrician I had to hire to fix it actually laughed when I told him the excuses they made. I changed from my previous landlords policy because I thought it was expensive. Lesson learned, You get what you pay for.
In response to the reply.
I suggest you change to another provider of this sort of policy. One that is capable of providing the service paid for. My policy number is LHJC-000212471615

Dear Steve. I'm sorry that you have not had the best experience. I can't tell who you are just from your first name, but for future reference we are your Insurance brokers, so if in the future you feel like you are not getting the service you have paid for, please give us a call and we will get involved with the claim on your behalf.

Really poor service and response

Really poor service and response
What good is ‘cheap ‘ if you can’t rely on them ?
Awful waiting times to get thru
They try their best to wriggle out of a claim
Pay more elsewhere and at least you have piece of mind

Will not respond to you at all

I took out a policy 5 months ago but now no longer need it. They won't answer contact forms, they won't answer emails and they won't answer the phone..... Don't know if they've gone out of business or just like taking money but not refunding any. Definitely not recommended. Learned my lesson.

They certainly are not excellent

They certainly are not excellent. Be very careful to real ALL the small print . We have been badly burned. V. Cxlxman. They usually via Lim claim handlers can't, won't, not covered, your only covered for 1 hr 75 pounds and if you want the job done that will cost you 450 pounds for 4 hrs work. I proved that wrong as got the job done in 1 hr cost 150 pounds. I was told when taking out the policy that I was covered for 1000 per annum. The policy is a licence to CON and DISAPPOINT the general public. Just look at LIM reviews all 1 star, ALL actually if they could they would have given minus 20 and Plus 50:for misreprenting the public. Go somewhere else and do yourself a BIG favour. I will be sending the bill for the work and damages to my property.
