Being based and growing up in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney I know the expectations and level of service that should be set at a bare minimum to satisfy our growing customers. As a quick heads up, Proximity Plumbing was established because we saw a massive niche in premium plumbing services. Our passion for plumbing and our attentiveness to details is what allows us to stand out in a congested marketplace. As Proximity Plumbing grows, we want to offer this same level of service to more people who need our expertise. Our aim is to not win everyone over but rather maintain our high level of service for the people who appreciate it. Proximity Plumbing is set up specifically to tackle Emergency work, and maintenance work, with four fully equipped trucks there is no job to big or too small that we can’t handle or attend to within an hour’s notice. We also offer comprehensive communication via email or telephone to provide up to date information on the progress of the job. As to be expected we are on call 24/7 which means that in the unlikely event that you have an urgent request we will respond with the same high level of service. Rest assured our office is open with staff ready to take your call and respond immediately. Being local means, we can attend to each job as it comes, no questions asked. I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Proximity Plumbing. I called them to resolve an issue with my hot water system, but the technician admitted he didn’t actually know what the problem was and proceeded by process of elimination.

They ended up removing a perfectly good valve and charging $825 for the replacement — yet the original issue was never resolved. This approach showed a complete lack of proper diagnosis or technical understanding.

When I raised the matter and requested a refund, the company refused to take responsibility, despite the work clearly not fixing the problem.
Despite advertising "no call-out fee," I was charged a mandatory $300 "diagnosis fee" just for them to attend.

In my opinion, the service was highly unprofessional. Their own invoice admitted the work was a "process of elimination." I paid for a $450 part based on their recommendation, only for the fault to continue immediately. Most concerningly, they later claimed that the issue was resolved, which is false; I have dated messages from my tenant proving the hot water continued to fail.
I paid for a solution but received expensive trial-and-error. Save your money and find a plumber who can actually diagnose a problem before charging you for it.

In my view, this service was neither professional nor carried out with due care and skill, and I strongly caution others to think twice before using this company.
