Great idea, shocking after sales service.

I have used Pudo for a while now rather successfully. That was until about a month ago when problems started creeping up: I would go to drop off a parcel and someone else’s parcel would be in my locker; then I dropped off a parcel for delivery to Johannesburg and someone else picked it up in Cape Town before it had even been collected by a driver. Twice I have experienced the frustration of driving to the lockers to drop off a parcel and getting the error message that “this locker does not exist” when typing in the PIN. Then again this week I went to drop off a parcel and found another one in my locker. After waiting on hold for ages (their number is not easily found online so I had to go via the Courier Guy call centre), they told me I had to cancel the transaction and try again. I sent an email explaining my frustration and saying it should not be on me to have to drive to drop off the same package for a third time. But they said there was no other option. If I wanted a home pick up I’d have to pay extra for it. They absolutely won’t take any accountability for all the errors. I did once manage to speak to someone who said they are experiencing IT issues and are trying to fix it but no where on their website do they mention this. Awful service and so disappointing.

They are as bad as the reviews suggest

Pudo has a good system and under the right conditions, they do deliver without a hitch. But the problem comes when there is an issue, and you start to track how they dealing with it. if there are no issues good, if there, they bad at dealing with them and talking to customers. I know no organisation is perfect, so problems are expected, the problem comes when an agent cannot calm down the customer and rather makes them feel more frustrated, because we do spend money and our customers regard us as incompetent if Pudo fails them.

So I sent a package to KZN. Then, when it arrived there, my client called me and said that Pudo told her they wouldn't deliver to her area and she had to go collect it at the locker. So, I asked Pudo, but we paid door to door, so what happens to the extra 10 rands? They said you're not getting it back. 'Next time ask us first if we deliver in the area,' they say. Imagine an agent saying that to you. I work for Ubisoft and deal with clients all the time, and one thing they always tell us is, 'never escalate (frustrate the customer),' but this lady did. I stopped using Pudo. Mind you, I have delivered over 50 products with them. They are the worst. I am back with Fastway and had to hike the prices a bit, but at least I have a dedicated person who handles my account." This is not about the 10rands, its about the treatment.

Worst delivery option available

You have 1 minute to collect your parcel from their depot or it goes back. You can get it delivered to your door, but then you have to register on the app - which app does not take your money to allow you to do so. I suppose bye bye parcel. Go back to sender. I work. I cannot jump and come collect in the 36 hours you allow.

Pudo damages parcels

I used pudo( courier guy) to send a parcel a few days ago. I sent a Kenwood slow cooker to a buyer who bought it from my online shop. I packaged the pot in newspaper as well as bubble wrap and packed it safely in a box. My client contacted me with pictures of a damaged pot. A huge hole in the box I sent as well as a deep gash in the front of the pot. My customer obviously refuses to pay me for a damaged item. I contacted courier guy to inform them of this yesterday evening already. Till now I have been contacted by 5 different people and having to explain my issue over and over. I sent them pictures of an intact pot before it was shipped and then pictures of the condition my customer received the pot. The forst email i got was from Gladys simply just apologizing and stating that there is nothing they can do because pots fall under crockery and their policy states to not send crockery. I had to show Gladys that rockery falls under things that can break like glass, cups, plates etc and pots fall under cookware.They are now claiming to investigate where the pot was mishandled instead of realizing that I don't give a **** who or where it was mishandled, it's not my problem because I wasn't there!!! All I want is to be compensated for the pot they have damaged and they can deal with their logistics after making sure that i( a client of pudo for more than 4 years) am happy and sorted out. I am ready to take this matter to the CPA Monday because I don't deserve to be on the waiting end for my pot that they damaged. They need to be taught customer service skills!!!!

Never use pudo

I have sent 4 parcels with pudo this week and every box was cut open and items were missing. I tried contacting support but they were extremely unhelpful. I would never use again as they are a bunch of thieves.

My parcel were put in locker my client didn't receive pin code or even a phone call to say package are at the locker and when you ask for help on WhatsApp they just ignored me so Polokwane your pudo lockers suck i am using pudo for 3 years and yours are up to ****"

I have made a mistake and swapped the…

I have made a mistake and swapped the drop off and pick up zones. I also paid twice because the internet went down and when I opened my app on my phone again, there was a second booking!
I have been tried the best part of today to try and change that but Palesa from your company just could not solve my problem. I am highly disappointed in your service and will proclame that on all social media platforms. This is NOT acceptable.!!!!
