PuppySpot.com seemed great they weren't. I purchased a puppy and right before I asked the weight. They told me 4lbs. at 14 weeks. I asked if they were sure because he looked bigger in the picture and they said that's what his information said. I said, well maybe it's just his hair/fur. Six days before he was getting delivered, something told me to double check. I called and asked if they could contact the breeder and find out his current weight. And they said, no problem. Then the said they didn't have to because the Veterinarian's paperwork from his exam was in. He was 8lbs 4oz. WHAT?!! He gained 4lbs 4oz in one week? Something isn't right. First, I couldn't have this dog because I have a disability and weight was a huge consideration and at 15 weeks he'd already exceed his projected adult weight and both of his parents. Second, the breeder lied to PuppySpot and they, in turn, unknowingly. lied to me.
They escalated and a few hours later I received a call from a senior manager with two options. I could keep the puppy, which I already explained at length to her why that wasn't an option. The puppy would keep growing for a minimum of two, possibly up to four or more months. If he exceeded 10lbs, which it seemed was very likely, I wouldn't be able to pick him up to carry him down the stairs to go out, especially if I was having a really bad day. Hence, weight being a huge consideration in the dog I chose. The other option was cancelation. I said, YES. Okay, but YOU CAN'T PURCHASE ANOTHER PUPPY FORM PUPPYSPOT. What?! I can't? I didn't do anything wrong. Sorry, that's just how it is. It's our policy. I asked what happens with the breeder and was told the breeder team will investigate and they will receive a disciplinary action depending on if it's their first offense, second, or what. It could be a suspension or something like that. I was like, so your breeders can screw people over multiple times and your clients, who do nothing wrong - nothing, get banned as a client? How is that fair? Sorry, that's just our policy.
And, I found out later that they work with Amish breeders. Amish have a totally different view toward animal than most people and are notorious for operating Puppy Mills. They even include them in a video.
I tried to write a review on their site, but I can't find anywhere to do it. I'm betting it's only allowed once a purchase goes through. Just beware!

The door-to-door service was not as I had hoped for:
1. Ted (now named Bo) had a double ear infection and a very foul, distinct, infected smell in both ears.
2. We also didn't receive the food that we had been accustomed to eating.
3. And finally, the length of 3 weeks for delivery was a bit disappointing.

My puppy was delivered in great time and he was healthy and strong. He was a little shy and scared the first two days but now he has taken over the house. It's fun to see him rip and run. He also keeps a healthy appetite. Thanks for being a five star company

Pretty disappointed. Purchased a Doberman puppy and paid for the AKC registration which I thought would include parent’s pedigree. I was told she would be delivered to us no further than 2 hours by a climate controlled sprinter van. After making the purchase I waited almost 3 weeks to get word on delivery. Found out she was not going to be transported via van but flown to an airport over 3 1/2 hours away. We had to take off work and stay in another state to make sure we were at the airport. The puppy was terrified. We were told she had basic training and was kennel trained which was not even close. She came with a urinary tract infection that we spent weeks treating and battling PuppySpot and their health promise. Never got the AKC paperwork and actually was told it was a limited AKC registration and I wouldn’t get the parents info which all seemed shady. And the only reason I give the 2 stars is they reimbursed the deposit to cover some of what we had to pay for medical immediately after we got her. All the battling for months to get things taken care of, the thousands we spent for the puppy, which we were told we can’t breed, to travel expenses and medical expenses was ridiculous. Would not buy again from PuppySpot. Have homes elsewhere to buy AKC registered puppies that are exactly who they say they are!

The whole experience of adding our Golden Retriever Tubby (Goshi) to our family was as smooth and painless as you could hope for. Felipe was so pleasant and helpful throughout every step and the information and support Puppy Spot continues to provide is appreciated.

BEWARE before using PuppySpot.
I am a first time dog owner, and I trusted what PuppySpot advertised. Looking back, I regret that decision completely.
From my very first phone call, there were red flags. I asked about health testing for hereditary conditions and whether the parents were screened. Instead of providing reassurance, I was met with a dismissive response and zero real information. I should have walked away then.
I was also told I would receive a discount for choosing “white glove delivery.” That turned out to be untrue. I paid full price.
After placing my deposit, communication dropped off almost entirely. I received little to no updates about my puppy for weeks. That lack of communication continued throughout the entire process.
Delivery day was a nightmare. I could not get a clear answer on timing, and when my puppy finally arrived, the “white glove delivery” was completely misleading. She was handed to me from a truck in a tiny crate, with no food or water, sitting in her own waste. She smelled strongly of feces and had clearly been in that condition for some time.
During transport, I noticed something was wrong with her eye in a photo I was sent. I raised concerns and was brushed off. The breeder claimed they “didn’t notice,” despite a very obvious red swollen lump on her eye.
Within 48 hours of bringing her home, I was at a veterinary ophthalmologist. She was diagnosed with immune mediated blepharitis and required immediate treatment.
That was just the start.
Within days, she had swollen lymph nodes and tested positive for parasites. The paperwork from the breeder was shockingly minimal, and my vet even questioned it. It was also noted that her vaccinations may have been administered too early.
Because of her condition, her vaccinations had to be delayed, meaning she has been restricted to my home since I got her.
Since then, I have dealt with repeated illnesses, multiple vet visits, specialist appointments, medications, and ongoing care. I have had to take time off work, losing income, while paying significant out of pocket costs.
Most recently, she became severely ill again, vomiting and having diarrhea throughout my home. She tested positive for hookworm, roundworm, and giardia, with a heavy parasite load. This is not minor. This is serious neglect.
I have gone back and forth with PuppySpot throughout this process. While they initially reimbursed some expenses under their “health guarantee,” they have now stopped responding entirely. Emails and phone calls are being ignored.
To make matters worse, I later found the breeder online and connected with other owners of puppies from the same litter. It became clear this was a puppy mill situation, despite PuppySpot’s claims that they do not work with puppy mills.
This experience has been emotionally exhausting, financially draining, and completely unacceptable. My puppy is still dealing with health issues nearly two months later.
At this point, this goes far beyond partial reimbursement. Between the undisclosed medical conditions, the condition she was delivered in, the misleading delivery service, and the complete lack of accountability, I believe a full reimbursement is warranted.
If you are considering PuppySpot, please take this as a warning. Do your research and think twice.

The puppy spot team was absolutely amazing. However I chose the option for delivery. It was suppose to be a great experience and it was not as advertised. The puppy was picked up 730am on a Tuesday and was delivered 830am Wednesday. I got a text at 1130am stating schedule was on track but do not reach out to delivery team till Wednesday. They called me at almost midnight to confirm delivery. I texted a few times for updates and received not even a text or call to check on puppy. They were supposed to stop and let them use bathroom, stretch etc and none of that was true on top of zero response. He showed up drugged, very dirty and smelled horrible (was told he would receive a bath upon arrival) also they were feeding him the wrong food then I was told to use from breeder and caused diarrhea for days. Again this puppy spot team was great but for the price of delivery and how it was advertised was not close to how it happened I would of drove to get him as it was 5 1/2 hours each way for me but paid the extra because it sounded like a great service and I couldn’t be more wrong. I spoke to puppy team and they did nothing to make it right.

A few things to share. I was initially hesitant to move forward with our puppy purchase since the breeder was not disclosed, but the PuppySpot representative assured me the breeder was reputable and ethical.
I chose to pick up our puppy directly from the breeder and had hoped to see where he was raised. Instead, we were asked to meet at a gas station, which was concerning.
Our puppy also had a cough upon arrival, so I took him to the vet immediately. He was diagnosed with kennel cough and two intestinal parasites, despite having received a prior “clean bill of health” before being sent home.
In addition, I found communication through the site to be challenging.
Going forward, I would not purchase a pet through an intermediary that does not fully disclose the breeder’s identity. That said, our puppy is absolutely wonderful, and we adore him.

One of the best experiences I ever had, excellent communication and availability. They are experts in their field, and they have a very supportive staff. My puppy is the healthiest and most lovely. Thank You, PuppySpot!

Quality Breeder Partners: Knowing we were connecting with a quality breeder for our new Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The trust of not being scammed by the many dog scam sites today. This was the most important quality and the one I would pay for again. It was more expensive than other sites but had a quality rating here and trusted business record. Both of which are key factors when you spend over a grand ($1000 USD) and drive 8 hours to pick up the puppy.

Ryan and Titus done a wonderful job delivering my bundle of joy Ovechkin my eight week old German Shepherd puppy all the way from Ohio to Roseville California. They were even a little bit early thank you so much for delivering him. He smelled great. He was clean very manageable and I’m just so happy to have him. Thank you again.

My puppy was received with giardia when they said he didn't have it. He also smelled it looks like he wasn't been taken care an when we call puppy spot they said he was clear from it an he wasn't. Puppy spot dont care for the puppy's they dont see how this puppy's are living with the breeder they just want to sell a puppy for a profit dont care for their health. I called them a few times to make sure he didn't have giardia an they said he didn't they lied now im spending extra money on the vet an medication. So make sure if u guys buy a puppy's from puppy spot do your do diligence an they dont give you no information about the breeder to see if there clean. It was a horrible experience with puppy spot. I wouldn't recommend it. They only care about the sale not their well being.
