This company has eliminated all forms of contact, and when a company does that, something feels fishy. I would not be surprised if, when I write a review, a real person instead of an AI bot suddenly responds with “Oh no, blah blah blah.”
Yes, I could have gone to the counter at the gym and bothered the staff, who are underpaid and working very hard. But no. I have done this kind of work myself, so I know how it is. And to all gym staff who might be reading this.
Become a lifeguard. There is a serious lack of staff, especially on weekends. You can earn around 1000 kr with extras. It is basically the same type of work. You just need to pass a test where you dive more than three meters and learn CPR the correct way. The job itself is more relaxed, and on many evenings you can even study for your exams while working.
And for you PureGym corporation. Drop the Ai. We want real people. My problem couldn’t get solved by a bot, no one returned to me, but you got your extra money 💰😉

The gym is fine - the sign up process is horrendous! I went in the afternoon to sign up, but no staff was pressent. What is wrong with some simple customer service?
Instead, I tried to sign up online, but after clicking through the extremely slow and buggy website I got stuck at the final step. I had to tick a box that was outside my screen with no way of getting to it! It is apparently not poosible to sign up on an Iphone 13 mini. Absolutely terrible experience and waste of my time!!

I signed up for puregym last january and only used it a few times. I was happy to pay, those months, and when I had no use for it I used the option to pause my membership. I was able to do all this via the mobile application.
Some months later, tried to find out how to cancel my membership, and with the app being only available in Danish, it was difficult for me as a non-danish speaker to navigate and find where to cancel. I was also going through quite a stressful time at work and have adhd so found it very difficult and time consuming. Finally I realised that it was not possible to cancel via the app, and it was also not possible to find an email address or phone number to contact about it either. The only information given was to log in via the webpage.
Unfortunatelty I was not able to log in as I had forgotten my password, and I was not able to find a way to reset it. It was not like all the other web pages I access where they sent a password reset to your email. This system seems designed to make it difficult. I then searched online, and found information by googling puregym and how to cancel
the site is on puregym.com help-centre freezing-or-ending how-do-i-cancel-my-monthly-membership
which says, simply cancel your direct debit. So I did this, and then two months later recieve an email saying I am late with payments and have a reminder fee. Again I cannot log in, and managed to find an email through using google maps! Once I had email contact I was able to cancel, but am now being charged for 3 extra months! The information I had found is not valid for puregym Danmark, i was told.
I have not encountered such a difficult system before, and i will never return to puregym, and ward all my freinds and collugues away from it. It follows the model the many unscrupoulous subscription services follow, in that they make it easy to join, but provide minimal routes to leave.

I think PureGym has relatively good facilities. One thing that I could suggest is about the showers. It would be nice if we had privacy, and showers were separated a bit.

I cancelled my membership on 1 November, only a few hours after October ended. I paid for November, which I used. However, I was still charged for December, a month I did not use at all and during which I was outside the country.
Because of a delay of just a few hours, the system forces members to pay for an extra full month they don’t use. This might follow the terms, but honestly, it does not feel fair or reasonable.
The cancellation information is also unclear and gives the impression that cancelling before the next payment is enough which is misleading in situations like this plus 100 dk fee if you didnt pay in time
I paid the amount, but I’m disappointed. This is not about the money only it’s about fairness and customer experience. I hope management reviews this system, because it can easily happen to others.
I have trained in many gyms over the years, and this is the only gym where I have encountered a system that penalizes customers so harshly for minimal timing differences, without flexibility or human assessment of the situation plus I wrote many emails for them since novmber to make sure I am canceling in the right way .

I feel comfortable during my workouts, and even though the gym can be busy at certain times and some machines may be occupied, there is still enough space and time to train properly. It’s enjoyable to spend time at the gym. The gym also offers various classes and personal training sessions, and I would say that they make everyone feel supported and well cared for their individual needs.

This review reflects my personal experience with PureGym Denmark, and unfortunately, it has been extremely disappointing.
From the very beginning, the service felt confusing, unhelpful, and far from customer-friendly. You can only use one specific gym, which already limits the value of the membership. On top of that, there are no proper reminders about fees or upcoming charges. Out of nowhere, I suddenly received an email saying that I had been fined — and this was the first time I even realized there was an issue.
Their website is honestly one of the worst I’ve ever used. The online chat barely works, crashes constantly, and leaves you with no real way to get support. I tried several times to reach them through the website and failed every time. So I emailed customer support, and they told me they would “look into it.” I waited for days with no update, and after almost a week, they simply emailed me saying my debt had already been sent to a collection agency. No warning, no explanation, nothing.
Their customer service is truly awful — slow, unresponsive, and completely unhelpful when you actually need assistance.
Cancelling the membership is another nightmare. There is no simple option to delete or end your account. You have to wait days for customer service to reply, and meanwhile you keep getting charged. If you want to pause your membership, you still have to pay around 80% of a full month’s fee. And when you finally decide to cancel, they still make you pay for an additional month. Everything is designed so you keep paying, no matter what.
Honestly, the only thing that seems to work perfectly is their system for taking money from you. The quality of service is nowhere near the amount they charge. I had no idea I even had a fine until that email showed up — and by then it was already too late because they had already sent the debt to collections.
Overall, this has been one of the most frustrating, unprofessional customer experiences I’ve ever had. I’m extremely dissatisfied, and I truly hope others don’t have to go through the same thing.
( They called me and reversed the objection to the payment, and removed one of the fines)

I am completely dissatisfied with PureGym’s handling of membership pricing. I was charged more than double the agreed membership cost without any prior notice, consent, or communication about a change in pricing. This is a blatant lack of transparency and a deeply misleading business practice.
At no point was I informed of any adjustment to my membership fees, yet the amount deducted was far higher than what was originally agreed upon. Customers should never be forced to discover hidden price increases only after being charged — this is unethical and unacceptable.
I will be filing formal complaints with consumer protection authorities and sharing my experience to warn others about these practices. I expect an immediate explanation and a full refund of the unauthorized overcharge.
PureGym’s disregard for customer communication and approval is completely unacceptable, and this experience has severely damaged my trust in the company.

The worst experience with customer service and personal!!!
I had to cancel my subscription with pure gym on August and they still charge me every month and my membership appears active. I have sent them an email with the proof that I have paid 275 kr cancellation fee as they refused to do the cancellation at the gym ( on their website it says it’s the free option).
It is frustrating as it is that I couldn’t cancel at the gym, I was sent to do it online and therefore pay an additional cost of 275 kr just to be able to cancel my membership but I was also charged for October and November.
On their website it is said that I will of course pay for August and September after cancellation which to be honest it’s still not fair. Due to health issues I had to stop immediately and I didn’t use the gym At All. But if that’s the rule it’s ok.
Still I don’t understand why I had to pay for October and November.
On top of that I’m sending an email and I get a standard response on how to cancel my membership. Are you kidding me? I was exerting more professionalism from a big company like that.
I had also sent them a text on mesaanger and the same robot answered all over again.
How can it be posibile that there is no customer support on the phone or Evan email. And at the gym they simply refuse or cannot help you.

I just like the place, a lot of space, clean and personale is active. A lot og things to choice it. I usually come here in different time not everyday but a couple of times in a week. New a its closer where i live.its comfortable to come here . I can't imagine to go somewhere to go gym.
