Healthy alternative to a UPF lunch

The team at Purition are always helpful and quick to respond. Their products are wholesome good quality. The flavours of the sachets are mostly delicious but the small sachets are a good idea to find out which ones you prefer. Some say they are expensive but much less than a processed sandwich for lunch and much more healthy. Ideal if you don’t have time to make lunch, are on the road or simply fancy a change.

I love it

I love it! I don't bother with reviews that often but I wanted to share mine of this because the number one criticism I see of it is that it is gritty, but to me that's what makes it so perfect as it literally tastes like its ingredients! I ordered the limited edition blueberry and the starter pack. I am going to re-order blueberry if they still have it when I need it, or will order the cherry bakewell as that's gorgeous too! If you prefer non-sweet flavors there are those to choose from too, but these are helping me avoid actual sweet foods but still tickle my sweet tooth a little :)

Expected to dislike these … didn’t!

Very impressed and didn’t expect to be. Perhaps people who are used to meal replacements find these too natural but to me they taste like food. I love the fact there is some substance to them and when there are nuts they add some crunch - Chocolate and Hazelnut for instance. I like the slight umami effect of sweet and nutty and if I really wanted sweet I’d add honey. I have already bought in some things to add when I feel like it but even on their own these are actually enjoyable which is very surprising! I want to lose weight so I have one for lunch which liberates me from trying to work out what to eat, but also I am a follower of Zoe videos and am interested in how many plants I can eat in a week so this definitely helps that. I looked at another brand from Instagram and they had things in them that would make them ‘ultra processed’ and I want to avoid that. I’m going to reorder and keep experimenting but despite my misgivings I’m really pleased I found this. This is not a food for those who want to substitute snacks, it’s a product for those who want to substitute food with a healthier and convenient form of food.

Fantastic product

I’ve been using this product for a while, I recently purchased their Whey protein isolate. It’s amazing and tastes great to boot. Highly recommended

Delicious, texture not for everyone

So I decided to try the 40g sachet started packs as Im an on cancer recovery and working hard to lose the weight gained while also packing the good food in for healing. Im all for natural products so this sang to me when I read it was made from natural ingredients like nuts and seeds instead of synthetic proteins. I was dubious to start like with any product, is it going to taste nice, is it going to deliver what it claims.
So, onto the good stuff. It arrived super quick so I could get started, wide variety of flavours, ingredients are great even if the fat is high it is good fat.
The bad stuff. I find it expensive so dont know how long I can sustain using them. The first one I had tasted nice but was very grainy from the chunks of nuts still left over. I researched and its stated it should be passed through a blender for a smoother texture or use in food instead. Each flavour is definitely personal choice as I hated the coffee and walnut.
I now have them as a healthy porridge which I add fruit to and they are good, so good. I hate chocolate flavoured products but even the chocolate one with frozen raspberries and blueberries in made a delicious choice. I have ordered 2 big pouches in my favourite flavours.
So in summary, would I recommend? Yes 100% but just mess around and see how you like them. I am using for weight loss and protein purposes and Im really not hungry after these. Very satisfying.

Porridge tastes better than chocolate

I've bought their shakes for years as they are full of nutrients and no bad stuff... I did another order and noticed they now do instant porridge and soup, what can I say.. The porridge is instant like a lot of other instant just add boiling water porridge but beyond that... Wow.. The porridge I've just eaten is amazing, I'm going to get it on subscription and throw away all my other brands of porridge, diet or others... You literally can taste the difference with the first mouthful!! Porridge that tastes better than chocolate, yes really

These shakes are disgusting

These shakes are disgusting! They taste awful and all the same despite the flavour you order. They are very gritty too, horrible, don't waste your money! Try protein works instead, delicious and smooth, not like this stuff

I ordered the variety starter pack

I ordered thw variety starter pack, admittedly a little bit priceyer than Id like. I had banana today which tasted as expected, like its ingredients. I like that its made locally to me and out of actual food priducts not shoved with loads of bulking agents. I have the vegan option as Im lactose free and so far all is well. My only reason for dropping a star is that its very nutty, as in lumps of. I didnt blend, just used a shker so maybe thatll be better and leave less sedement at the end. I am looking forward to trying all the flavours though.

Tasty and I love the texture.

I was hesitant to try this because their ad talked about the gritty texture but I’ve ordered their mix of sachets actually found it very tasty. I don’t find it gritty at all, I’d describe it more as having texture which personally I love.
I’m glad it’s not a smooth product as I’m actively trying to find foods that do not contain emulsifiers or anything of that kind. It’s harder than it sounds.

The flavours are subtle which again, suits me as I don’t really want to be overpowered with artificial flavours.
I have mine as either a porridge or mostly mixed in with plain Greek yoghurt. So far I’m loving it and am thrilled I’m managing to get plenty of fibre and goodness into my diet.

⭐ 0 star – Completely unacceptable service

I am extremely disappointed with Purition.

My order never arrived, and despite emailing the company three separate times, I have received absolutely no response — not even a basic acknowledgment.

Taking payment and then ignoring customers when something goes wrong is completely unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but being ignored entirely shows a serious lack of professionalism and accountability.

There has been no update, no explanation, no replacement offered and no refund. At this point, it feels like customers are simply left on their own once payment has been taken.

Customer service appears to be nonexistent. I would not recommend ordering from this company if you expect reliability or basic communication.

Very disappointing experience.

Unfortunately can't get over the taste :-(

I was after something a bit more natural and with fibre and in principle Purition does tick the box but I really can't get over the taste. I had it sat in my cupboard for a few weeks (I tried it when it first arrived) just to check if it's still as bad as I remembered. Every flavour contains coconut for starters - if I wanted coconut I'd order coconut but I don't want everything to taste like coconut (Even the mixed berry one contains coconut). Also, the taste of stevia is just repulsive and far too strong. I wish more companies released flavours without added sweeteners - Even if it's a substitute, I'd rather adjust the sweetness to my own taste buds and use honey or maple syrup to taste if I absolutely had to (or my own sweetener). If it wasn't for the Coconut and the Stevia I'd be willing to try again

If you are looking for a standard protein shake then you'll be dissapointed. This is much better.

I've used Purition for a week now and its honestly been the best 'quick win' ive had when it comes to food.
Ive tried almost, if not all, of the protein powder brands in the UK.
Purition is NOT a protein powder, like for like, its much more and I am glad.

1. It fills me until dinner (1pm) when I have Purition for breakfast at about 9am.

2. It is granular BECAUSE ITS BLENDED NUTS AND SEEDS.
Again, NOT a protein powder straight swap. If you go into it thinking the latter then you'll be disapointed.

3. The flavours are hit and miss, not awful. Maybe a bit bland but neutral, not artificial tasting. So far my favourite has been Hazelnut and Chocolate.

4. Its low calorie but nutritionally good, for those of us on a calorie deficit.

5. The overnight oats method, based on the recipe on the back of the packet, works so well. It's like dessert and has a bit of bite to it.

6. Buy Purition if you want a healthy alternative to highly processed powders with added sugars and amino acids. Purition is made from the gifts of mother nature, straight from the plant or pod not the lab or an influencers million pound startup.

7. It may require some effort if you want a smooth liquid. Therefore any bad reviews about a product clearly made from blended nuts and seeds, is a little unfair.
I made overnight oats work for me. Maybe you'll need to prepare a shake with half an agave syrup, and then run it through a blender again. That fixed even the grainiest of protein powders I had in the past.

Enhanced info.
I havent tried to blend it and drink it, mainly because I'm not sure I'd like it. This is because it is blended natural ingredients and not fine powders perfected in a lab before being mixed together by "insert any protein brand you like". I will try it but I like my drinks smooth and I'm worried I'll hate it.

I have always hated the texture of overnight oats, so when I have had it in the past I have blitzed the oats in a blender until its the consistency of Purition, added ingredients, and blitzed it again.
I still blitz the oats but I added Purition (as per their recipe) and some other bits, and found it to be the best one ive had. Its just about a manageable texture for me but is satisfying.

I love Purition

I love Purition have been drinking for breakfast for a couple of years, but lately they seem a lot sweeter than they were, it’s putting me off drinking the, I know the sweetener is Stevia, but do you make any others that are sweetener free, or not so sweet, im so sorry to complain

Sample box is a great way to start.

I tried the sample box and have really enjoyed them. I add one pouch to my breakfast of berries and yogurt. I love the texture and flavours. The flavours are subtle and are not too sweet, which suits me. The chocolate and orange one with yogurt, a chopped up orange and some blueberries is my favourite at the moment.

Absolutely loving them!

Absolutely love them, received my 14 day sample pack the other day, im well impressed, I mix them with 100 grams of 0% fat fage Greek yoghurt with a bit of fruit in the bowl depending on what flavour im using to compliment it. I dont weigh it as i buy 450gram pots and just quarter it out with a spoon. Yes its like 12 grams over but its fat free so it doesnt matter! You dont actually need fruit, however a small handful i find almost makes it a desert! I just had a chopped kiwi with my coconut one, weird but I enjoyed it so much! Its so creamy mixed with this type/style of yogurt in particular. You feel very full. Its midday..no hunger until evening meal gone 6pm. Im diabetes 2 and the high protein is mostly needed for my muscle mass loss due to cutting everything bad out very quickly when I was diagnosed 10 weeks ago. I find purition a bit too filling for a normal breakfast which is why I have it for lunch. Metformin tablets kind of take away the need for a bigger breakfast, I presume people that dont have to take it would be ok with it for breakfast though. I look forward to my lunch now! Add what you like to suit your dietary requirements or add nothing at all. Ive seen someone complain about the taste being too subtle. If you are still eating processed rubbish and having sugar in/on everything then it wont be as sweet as you want it to be. However..i cleaned my palate from all things processed and only had a tiny bit of honey in tea. Now I dont have any honey at all for obvious reasons. So the subtle flavours of purition are substantially flavoursome for me. Theres nothing that needs adding in my view. They are grainey but nothing horrendous! The grains are subtle. In fact, i find them just right in texture, easy to eat, no chewing involved, id be very worried if they wasn't grainey considering the ingredients. Not sure why the reviews are so low, i think its a shame. However ill read them later..if you're health conscious and need something thats packed with protein and only 200cal then this is definitely it. Love that ive got 14 flavours to choose from..im sticking to my lunch daily and not skipping a day as I want to keep a close eye on any changes that may happen to my body over the next 2 weeks no matter how small. Im keeping off milk so havent tried a shake yet. But ill be doing a hot water porridge at some point..its so easy! Well done Purition team! I now look forward to lunch!

A great healthy option

Bought a variety of flavours to try and found I prefer the coffee and banana best as shakes and nice and smooth when blended. Good to know it’s all natural and because of that has added vitamins as well as protein and fibre. Nice and filling for a quick breakfast. Have bought the big bags this week.

Great natural product in a world of…

Great natural product in a world of protein powders full of weird ingredients. If you have been accustomed to protein drinks, you might find this a coarser texture and milder flavour, but healthwise, you’ll be much better off. As you persist with it, your tastebuds get honed in on the natural flavours. Occasionally i have, for example, added a banana to the banana flavour, or powdered ginger to the delicious ginger nut too.
Excellent e-commerce experience and fast delivery, also easy to suspend subscription when necessary.

Tastes unpleasant, with a gritty texture. Really nasty. The packaging is good though, and arrived quickly!

The worse customer experience

The worse customer experience

So sad that this company appears not to care about their customers at all. I inadvertently placed an order twice. As soon as I realised my mistake I emailed Purition who did reply within minutes and confirmed that they could see what had happened and would of course cancel the duplicate order and informed me that my money ‘had been refunded’ (which was not the case). Several emails later and going back and worth with my Bank (who confirmed that Purition had indeed taken out two identical payments) Purition denied that they had my money literally gaselighting me into believing it was my imagination or a fault with my bank. The entire incident required me having to go through a lengthy ‘Charge Back’ process with my Bank (at a cost to my bank) to get my money back. Every step of the way I was told by my bank that this situation could easily be resolved between me and Purition and they could halt the process at anytime but Purition dug their heals in and still claimed they didn’t have my money. The last result I had to email proof from my bank account and Apple Pay showing that the money had been taken twice, then and only then did Purition carry out an investigation proving what I had been telling them was the truth all along. The entire nightmare took several weeks to resolve and I received no real or genuine apology from them. Dreadful customer service, awful people to deal with. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Thank you for sharing your experience.

We’re very sorry for the worry this caused. We’ve reviewed the full email and payment history, and can see that your duplicate order was cancelled straight away and the refund was issued at the same time. Although everything showed correctly as “cancelled” and “pending” on our system and with our payment provider, the funds didn’t return to your account in the usual time frame.

The delay was caused by an error in how the payment was recorded between the bank and the payment provider. It didn’t show up in any of the usual logs, which is why it took longer than expected to trace. Once the payment provider completed a full audit, the issue became clear and the refund was completed in full.

We understand how unsettling this must have felt while you were waiting for answers. We do care, and we worked closely with the payment provider until everything was resolved. We’ve since reviewed our internal checks with them to help ensure that similar issues can be picked up and resolved more quickly in future.

It's alright...

The product is okay but the team? Not so much.

The product is advertised in bright colours and strong flavours. The reality is disappointing. When others have pointed this out (I've read the reviews), the team responds with arrogance claiming "it's natural food, you're used to process junk. Natural food isn't saturated and heavily flavoured". Then why wrongfully advertise??? You're setting people up.

The flavour is very weak. They all taste the same. I've had 12 flavours in their starter box. The chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate at all. The cherry Bakewell barely tasted like cherry or almond. And this isn't about comparing it to fake shakes. Real food has flavour, purition doesn't. They need to add in MORE of their natural flavours, instead of shutting down complaints with their arrogance and thinking they're different.

They are also bad with customer care. They left me on seen when I asked them a question. All I asked was about flavour updates. I get left on seen for a week. I follow up. I get left on seen for another week. I follow up again. I get ignored for another week. 3 weeks.. whilst the team responds to other people's comments and messages (and I know that because my friend messaged them a question). My question just asked about flavour updates for sachets because I'm disabled and can't work with large bags. Why do I get ignored? Not a very nice team.

Also they keep reposting this response to a comment that the texture is gritty, and again claiming that people need to get used to the texture of "real food". It's just blatantly arrogant. If they broke down their powder a bit more, the seeds wouldn't make people choke.

Not a fan.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I’m sorry to hear that Purition wasn’t quite what you were hoping for.

Our products are made from real ingredients like nuts, seeds and freeze-dried fruit, so the flavours and colours are naturally subtle. We understand that this can feel different if you’re expecting something stronger or smoother.
