Many aspects of Python are covered. It is an active course, where the student is working a lot. That's nice, because that way you learn the first steps with Python yourself. The pace is good, with enough attention for the student. There is also attention to occasionally slow down the pace so that the maximum is gained from the day. Would definitely recommend it, no regrets!

Well structured approach and reactive teaching style, in just a few hours I improved my understanding of underlying principles I had been taking for granted.

Python for Beginners is a great course to master the basics of Python. Because you can get the course 1 on 1, it goes completely at your own pace, based on your knowledge and skill level. In fact, the teacher will even adjust the lesson package on the spot to your level! Finally, you get good advice on how to continue with Python. In short, I recommend it to everyone!

We had a few calls before the training, discussing the things my team was struggling with, and the contents of the training were customized accordingly. Although this customization wasn't perfect, our trainer adapted as we were asking questions, which was extremely helpful to us.

Hands-on exercises were supplied, perfectly complementing the theory. We were able to apply some of the principles learned the next day. Highly recommended!

My expectations were pretty high, having worked with Joris as a freelancer. But still, the 2-day Python for Beginner course surpassed my expectations.
1. The assignments were perfectly balanced: everyone could follow, and 'speedy' learners had some extra (tough) assignments
2. Good use of tools, modules, add-ons: practical but not too much of them
3. I was surprised how simple the language is, or Joris made it feel.
4. I was able to apply / do much more in 2 days than I ever dreamt.

Happy to try and keep my level and ready to apply my understanding of scrapers, databases, API integrations and use of JSON data sources. Awesome.

Joris ran a highly convincing Python Intermediate course. His deep expertise and experience helped a lot to gain a lot of knowledge in a short time. The style of his online trainings with a high practical part in pairing sessions is excellent.

I followed the 'basics' training. It was an excellent training. I never worked with Python before, but with the clear explanation from Joris everything was easy to understand. I would really recommend Joris

Very nice, well-paced training. Course material is good with lots of excercises after clear explanation from the trainer. Started with zero knowledge of Python and that was ok for this training. Lots of tips on where to find answers and more information on basics.

Great content. Joris is a great trainer, very dynamic, listens to his audience, gives very clear examples and instructions. Training material and timing according to the level.

I really liked the course because Joris is able to adapt and add content on the go to help give a better understanding of the different elements of the Python language. We went over the basic building blocks of Python which helps make sense of writing more complex code later on. Joris makes you think for yourself while doing the exercises, but is also there to help and explain how things work. I would definitely take another course and would recommend him for personal or organizational training.

Joris designed a custom course for me and 6 colleagues on Python in the context of data science. We all had experience in various other programming languages, but we never really got around to trying Python before the PythonSherpa course. I would like to emphasize Joris's patience and the adaptive style he uses to teach. He divides his teaching into bite-size modules and guides you through them while constantly taking into account your attention span and your understanding of the subject matter. After the course, the course materials, along with some interesting further reading, stay available for you under your PythonSherpa account, so you can build on what you learned.

Very good introduction course to Python. The theory matches the exercises in a good way. You are challenged to use the theory in a slightly different way what gives you more insights in the benefits of Python. The trainer is easy going and well skilled in how to explain the theory with real live cases. The course enriched my world of understanding complex data streams.

I took a half-day workshop organized by PythonSherpa. The workshop was very well organized: appropriate difficulty level, good balance of explanation and practices, rich contents covering the basics...Joris as the lecturer was super enthusiastic and helpful. In general, I really enjoyed the workshop and was inspired to explore coding further with Python.

Joris, the PythonSherpa, prepared an excellent Phython training for our group. I have a commercial role in a tech company and no coding background. Joris has a business background himself and complements that with strong programming skills. This combination makes him a perfect teacher for business people with limited experience in programming as he is empathetic and can talk both languages.
I'm proud to be able to say that I feel like I understand the Python basics now!
I would recommend Joris to anyone looking to learn the programming basics!
