Deposit scam

Nothing good to be told if you are a tenant, not a landlord. They are taking decision just based on landlords' explanations and deduct sums from your deposit. I would advise to trust other platforms until they become more transparent.

Failure to protect tenants’ rights

There are problems between the tenant and the landlord, and the landlord asks to terminate the contract early and violates some relevant regulations. The customer service replied that I should communicate with the landlord. What is the point of using blocket? Is it to seek comfort? It's better to find an online friend.

Qasa should take their ethical responsibilities more seriously

Up until the end, I would have given five stars. The communication was good, the accommodation was great, etc. However, getting the security deposit refund was a nightmare. Although they knew (from my passport) that I was South African, Qasa gave no indication upfront that they would not be able to refund the security deposit to a South African bank account (because of "sanctions") and basically put the onus on me to find "another" account - even though this was my money (not theirs) that they were holding. I was fortunate to have a friend with accounts in both Europe and South Africa who was willing to receive my refund and then pay back the equivalent to me in South Africa - I do not know how I would have received the refund otherwise. I think Qasa has an ethical responsibility to their renters to give them the full information BEFORE they accept the security deposit.

Hi Hilton,

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry about the unfortunate experience at the end of the rental.

We're always happy to receive valuable feedback like this and I will bring this with me internally to discuss how we can be more transparent in these kinds of errands in the future.

I can see that you've received the money and once again I'm sorry about the experience.

I wish you a great week.

I do not recommend renting out your apartment with Qasa.

I had a bad experience with Qasa. After the rental period of apartment I found some damages that were not before and neither Qasa neither Omocom helped me. I had to fix and pay myself the damages. I will not rent again my apartment with them. I chose to rent with Qasa because I thought I would be protected, but that did not happen.

Hi,

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the insurance company, Omocom.

As long as the damages was made sudden and unexpected, the insurance company should handle that. You can read more about insurance and what if's here: https://www.omocom.insurance/app/uploads/qasa-omocom-produktblad-2024-1.2-sv.pdf
