Poor quality control, and poor customer service.
The price of their lights is very reasonable, but I have discovered that you get what you pay for. I ordered 12 four inch gimbal pot lights and I had issues with them when they were installed. Two of the lights broke at the spring clip while they were being installed. Qplus responded fairly quickly and sent me two more lights, but I had to pay for the shipping. After a year two of the junction boxes failed, luckily I had spares from the two broken lights that I was able to use. When the second box failed I contacted Qplus to see if the junction boxes were under warranty to find out if I could get replacements as I had a feeling they would be needed. They took 2 weeks to respond and asked me for a video of the problem! I responded indicating that a video would not help them with my question. They never got back to me. Here we are 3 months later and of course one of the junction boxes has failed again. I have asked for a replacement as the lights have a 5 year warranty and I provided a photo of the problem. I have not heard from them yet but I began the process of looking for replacements and I have discovered that I am not the only customer of Qplus to experience this issue. Apparently they have very poor quality control and many customers have complained about numerous failed junction boxes in the orders they have received. (Check Amazon customer reviews and other review sites and you’ll see that this is very true). I will wait to see if I ever get a response from their customer service team regarding my replacement request, but I suspect that the $12 light will cost me about the same amount to have it shipped, if they even respond to me.
As of May 16 there has been absolutely no response from the QPlus customer service unit. What a surprise! If I could have given them 0 stars, I would have.
