love my aqua tap , bought the pull out spray one ,so good. had it a year now and no problems.

We installed a new smart tap less than three years ago, and experienced problems right from the time it was installed. The original pull out tap left boiling water in the unit, and if you used the tap for normal supply immediately after using it for boiling water, the tap posed a real risk of scalding the user. Got that replaced immediately to a normal (non-pullout) version. That led to new issues - the cold water pressure was really low. I had to argue this out with customer service, eventually get a water pressure gauge, and send a picture with the pressure reading. Aquatap sent their own engineer, who went through a few units before a properly functioning one was installed. Good for a few month, the boiling water safety plunger then came off. I raised this with the company, and got a replacement.

Within 15 months or so, I noticed the brass alloy started discolouring. I’ve stayed with the tap, because I was still able to use it, and I feel their customer service has always been great. They listened to me and addressed issues promptly.

Now however, the tap is getting close to unusable. Every time the tap boils water, the thing makes such a noise that one would think the boiler would explode. Thankfully that hasn’t happened, but now, the tap dispenses boiling water as a trickle, the noise continues, it ‘leaks’ a substantial amount of water whenever the boiler comes on.

All in all, terrible product quality, with only good customer service compensating for it. I fear, within 2-3 years of getting it installed (and it was cheaper than the more popular alternatives), the tap will need to be replaced with a better quality, more reliable option.

In reply to Aquatap’s response below: I’ve sent you the order details from Jan 2023. And I’m still a customer as I get replacement filter cartridges from you every 6 months. The current tap was installed by your engineer Robert on Mar 21 2023. Please check your records properly. Thanks

I have changed my review because frankly, yet again Aqua Taps' customer service has come thru. Alan has been on the case since I raised my review, and after I shared my detailed feedback, he explained that my experience has been an exception to all their customers. I completely accept that, and I'm really happy with the resolution Alan has offered. Thanks!

Update:

A manager contacted me and arranged for an engineer to replace the boiler and use and a different type of filter. We will see if it improves.

We went to the Ideal Home exhibition on 24th March 2025 and were attracted by the tap. I explained that we lived in a London Borough with hard water. We installed the tap on 6 April. On 23 April we could see scale in our hot drinks. We telephoned Aquataps on several occasions and each time we were told that an engineer would phone us back. They did not. I sent an email in May. Initially I would get a reply about trying without the filter, then what colour was the filter, then was it resolved with the new filter. I last replied on 10 October that still limescale in hot drinks. I have had no reply since. Do not waste your money with this company. Appalling customer service.

The welcoming support team provided immediate assistance and sound advice. They confirmed the necessary parts were in stock for prompt fulfillment. Consequently, these parts were shipped the following business day. This efficient process ensured a swift resolution. This exemplary service is highly commendable.

I am impressed by the aftercare services by Aqua taps. Had a problem with the hot water tap and must say they exceeded my expectations in the way they rapidly sent out the replacement part needed and diagnosed the second issue. All working well again. Thank you Ben and Sean!

Hi, just a quick review. Have a 4 in 1 digital hot tap , delivery was great. The whole product is really good . The tap itself looks great and seems really good quality. I fitted it myself after watching one of the tutorial videos . Very easy and straightforward.

The installation was delayed by a week as engineer was unwell. We were kept informed about this. Their customer service was very responsive with the questions I asked.

I had spent weeks looking for a faucet part worldwide without luck until Sean McKean from Aqua Taps went above and beyond to help me. Very polite and professional through email, then willing to chat over the phone to fine tune the request and ensure I receive the product at my unique address. They know their stuff and actually do care about their clients and their craft. Thanks again guys

Sean and Ben worked with me to resolve the issue with my boiler. They helped me understand the logic behind the equipment which led to the discovery of the cause of the issue.

Would have got a 5 star but on the pricey side. So unless filters become more reasonably priced scores will continue to drop.

I recently changed my filters, and it unfortunately started a small leak. I sent an email with a picture of my suspected issue and within 2 minutes I had a call back from Sean who explained the problem and solved it over the phone. Extremely fast service and very helpful. Very happy with tap other than a drip after using ,however Sean contacted me & sent an expansion valve which solved the problem immediately.
The tap now works perfectly thank you for excellent service Sean & Aquatap .

Amazing product at an amazing price! I’ve been looking for a boiling water tap for months and thought a 5 in 1 tap was out of our budget but then found Aquataps! The digital 5 in 1 is really high quality and their customer service was great. Would 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely use again!

I purchased my 5 in 1 tap which has worked perfectly well over a year ago.
More over i had to replace my filters, i encountered a problem i dropped the team an email Sunday, sean reply first thing Monday morning with advice and they sorted 2 O-rings seals as id lost mine during the fitting and these were FOC.

There was a problem. There are often problems with services, but it is how a company handles them that matters. Aquataps were excellent! The person with whom I spoke, Sean Mckean, even gave me hi mobile number so we could have a video call. Upon seeing the issue, Sean immediately sent a replacement tap. Full marks Aquataps and full marks Sean. Thank you.

We've had our Aquatap for approx 2yrs now, it's great but I'm not happy with the after sales service. They don't come out to look at anything that's not working correctly. Instead they send a video and expect you to do it.

I have the 4 in 1 tap with pull out spray. The tap itself is ok but for some reason loses pressure after the hose is used and then drips until it rights itself. Not ideal as it’s 98°C water but unfortunately nothing can be done to fix it. Customer service were really good, sent a new hose and whilst this didn’t fix the issue they offered to exchange tap for a standard model.
