I would like to have more detailed sections of ones possessions and specific needs, especially when it comes to organising the funeral... This should be the central focus as very little emphasis... See more

Used Quick Laws to re-make my will this year as mine was outdated. The previous law firm charged me over $3000 to make and store my will, Quick Laws re-did it for around $300!!! About 10% of the cost... See more

Call before you buy

My interaction with this company was short of being helpful. I am not a client but under the terms of Trustpilot customer reviews can also be provided on first interaction. I encourage customers to call them and check carefully what exact product / service you will be purchasing. Customer service in my opinion was very angry and defenssive!

Used Quick Laws to re-make my will this year as mine was outdated. The previous law firm charged me over $3000 to make and store my will, Quick Laws re-did it for around $300!!! About 10% of the cost of a Law Firm. It’s great to be able to access affordable services who assist you to do many things that the big boys charge tens of thousands of dollars for. Thanks Quick Laws, awesome service!

Arrogant, rude, and outdated information

I had the same experience as Jay, further down in the comments. I purchased the NT Application for Administration DIY kit, asked a simple question about filling out the form, and was met with an arrogant reply from the company.

This kit did not contain any more information than the NT Supreme Court website provides. There are also errors in the procedure, and the information regarding entitlements per the relevant act is incorrect and outdated.

I emailed to ask about which address I should use, if I should find a local one as I live interstate and the Supreme Court website mentions information about the address but it is unclear what they need. The DIY Kit does not even talk about the address of the applicant. The reply was rude and arrogant.

There is not really enough information to "DIY" your application from this pack. Save your money and contact the Darwin Supreme Court direct; they are much more helpful about the process of filling out the forms.

Thanks for the feedback Sharon.

We would have been glad to receive any feedback about the kit, as we continually strive to improve and update our kits and we want our customers and clients to be happy.

If we had received the feedback, we would have been glad to review it and provide you with an updated kit, in accordance with our terms and conditions. We regularly review and update all of the legal kits. The only feedback that we received from you about the kit was that it mentioned the NT News and we have not mentioned the newspaper in any of our kits for years now.

We do not give any legal advice or assistance with the DIY kits. As a qualified law firm, we have legal duties and obligations. If you need any help or assistance with your matter, then you would need to enter into a retainer with our firm, as is required legally. If that is not suitable to you, then it's best to contact the Court directly. Please do not request free legal advice from Quick Laws, as the refusal often offends.

If you do not want to "DIY" and take care of a legal matter yourself, then please do not purchase the DIY Legal Kit as we offer a very affordable fixed fee service. We take care of your entire legal matter for probate for only $1,500, which is paid directly from the estate. Many law firms will take a percentage of your inheritance and we do not do that.

Others personal details sent to me.

In February I ordered a power of attorney kit. Two months later a kit arrived but it was partially completed with the personal details of two people from Victoria. I phoned to advise of this error which I considered quite serious. I asked for my money to be refunded but was told this was not possible and the girl hung up. There was no concern about the personal details of others sent to me - she didn’t even ask who the people were.
Last week I received a power of attorney kit and was thanked for my patience!!

Hi Sandra

Thanks for the feedback. We take any breaches of privacy seriously. The issue was handled appropriately by Quick Laws. Mix-ups do happen in office administration. Unfortunately, your request for a refund fell outside of our terms and conditions. Quick Laws will not tolerate any aggressive behaviour or offensive language.

With regard to the delay in receiving your kit, unfortunately, there were office disruptions and postal delays due to COVID-19. Again, we apologise for the delay, and are happy to offer you a discount on your next purchase.
