Wonderful company
I bought some beautiful, exquisitely-made Christmas decorations from this company as a gift for a friend. The company were so helpful and the items were such good value - really impressed. I will certainly be using this company again as they have a real eye for interesting and attractive objects

A little gem of a store! I found this place online & ordered some Christmas gifts & was absolutely delighted. Everything came beautifully packaged & scrolling through the website, I could have ordered pretty much everything! So many carefully curated products - their buyer is a genius & I just wish the shop wasn’t at the other end of the country. Highly recommend & will definitely buy from again :)

We're sorry James, have you got us confused with another shop? I've just had a look at your order and you just had one item in your order (pencils) - there were no other items. I also see that you have just ordered again tonight, and it also just has one item?

Caution when ordering online from this…
Caution when ordering online from this company, they cancelled our order stating the price was incorrect and this cost us a fortune in credit card changes which they refused to pay. Order online with caution.
Thank you for your comments, we can see you are annoyed. We would ask if you are laying out the facts... please keep to the accurate facts. We ordered the BBQ on the 13/09 at 20.45. At this point you have charged our credit card the full amount -As we have now reached an agreement, we trust that the goods will be supplied at the advertised price as agreed.
You have then contact us to say the price is not correct after the fact, we found this to be unusual, possibly fraudulent, and continued to communicate with caution.
The order has been cancelled by Quince & Cook on the 14/9 at 12.04.(not after 10 min)
After waiting two months to receive our credit card statements: which are from an overseas card and accepted by Q&C, we see a difference 193.95 USD in the refund.
This is due to exchange rates in the time you charged us to refund. We have asked you for some compensation.
We are not hiding behind a veil as you have stated, you have my address and my credit card details in your database.
I have no shame in sharing the facts and we still advise other customers to be carful when ordering online with your company due to our experience.

When I mentioned your veiled threat, I was referring to when you suggested that you would leave us negative reviews if we didn't reimburse your credit card fees.
Also, it's hard not to be upset when someone leaves an unwarranted 1 star review on our business Trustpilot and on Google. We take it personally, we are a family run business, a husband and wife team. Quince & Cook is our livelihood, why would we ever want our customers to be unhappy? We wouldn't, so we try our hardest to make up for honest mistakes and find a happy resolution.
We are also not responsible for your credit card fees - please take this up with your credit card provider.

Just to lay out the facts. You placed an order for an Aga Grill, unfortunately it had been incorrectly priced on our website so we refunded you within 10 minutes of order. We sent an email informing you of this.
We explained that as small, family run independent business we couldn't afford to take a hit so big, therefore we offered you a discount that we could manage, that discount was lower than any price online, we really wanted to make up for any disappointment caused. You refused this offer. We refunded you in full.
You then contacted us two months down the line demanding $200 in credit card fees, confusing as we are a UK based company and trade in sterling. We informed you that your refund was processed in full and any credit card charges would be between you and your credit card provider - which in the UK are refunded as standard via your provider.
We even went to the extent of researching how you could be reimbursed any fees from your credit card company, as these are extortionate and you have every right to claim these back from them, not us.
So, here we are now. You have now followed through on your veiled threat and left an awful review on our small business trustpilot and Google.
This review is more of a negative reflection on you Andrew, than us.
As we explained, we are human and made a mistake which we acknowledged and refunded in minutes. Your review has harmed a small business that is simply trying its best in a difficult time for retail.
Shame on you Andrew.
