The product is very good but the pricing and support not so. What’s not clear from the onset is the hefty tax that’s added at the checkout and the shipping cost.
What’s also not highlighted upfront is if you use an iPhone the software is not fully developed and lacks many features that are on the Android system, also there’s no manual for the IPhone software

Using the onboard display is like using an old Casio watch. Connection to smartphone breaks frequently when well within range. Power off operation is not efficient. Post delivery (2 weeks late) I'm being charged $53 by FedX for delivery!!!

My unit was lost in mail because of your shipping. You only have one way to ship though FedEx. I lost 400.00 dollars on the way you ship your product. You have a lot of nerve asking for a review. Why don't you work on getting my unit to me instead of asking for my review. I ordered on 4-1-26 and I still haven't gotten word on what happened.

Thanks to my friend I was able to use calibrated sources of radiation for test of my new device Radiacode 103 with CsI(Tl) crystal.

The energy spikes can be identified with accuracy around +-3 keV for 60 CPS sources of Cs137 and Ba133 after around 4 minutes of measurement, which is more than enough accuracy for identification of short or even longer decay chains like Ra225 --> Pb206.

A measurement of dose rate was calibrated 15 cm away of 5 MBq Cs137 source with highly unstable values on display, but almost correct average value (17uSv/h) over span of half a minute, which my friend as professional considered very decent result almost comparable to professional tools.

So the device is good for both expected uses:
- estimating level of gamma radiation,
- isotopes detection.

I ordered Radiacode 110 with casing for wrong model, they noticed that while preparing my order and contacted me about it. They updated my order and gave it to FedEx, it arrived 3 days later.

The device itself is amazing, app has a lot of helpful tutorials, battery lasts a bit over 10 day.

As a chemist with deep interest in nuclear physics have always wanted a gamma ray spectrometer so this was a great device to purchase. While the software is fairly intuitive, some of the finer details about analyzing spectra would be helpful.

I got my radiacode 103 for christmas. It came in a nice box with a beautiful case. Although I think that their software is good, I wish it would be a bit more refined. Because a beginner might struggle at first to know where every feature is in the app. But then again they have linked tutorials and a dedicated help section. Their costumer service is awsome, since I got all the help I needed when having trouble with the map and GPS. It all got solved quickly. If you are into nuclear physics and want a good spectrometer, then genuinely Radiacode is the best option!
