Rainbow Cleaning System - Vacuum, Upholstery Cleaner, Air Cleaner Extraordinaire
I bought my Rainbow new, in the early 1980s. I remember a home demonstrator came to the house and sold it to me on the spot. I have never regretted buying my Rainbow! My house at that time had 2 full flights of carpeted stairs. Imagine vacuuming 2 flights with a heavy upright. Horrible! I distinctly remember the liberation I felt leaving the Rainbow base at the bottom of the stairs while vacuuming up the stairs. If you want to know how long they last, I'm here to tell you. Mine is still running after 30 years!
Here’s what I love about the Rainbow. It gets right to the edges and has lights on the front. It has a couple different mini attachments for the end of the hose to do upholstery, stairs, car interiors, etc. It’s safe for hardwood floors, in fact it has both a “swiffer-like” and mop attachment. Besides being a fantastic vacuum, the best feature is how it cleans the air by pulling room air through water capturing the dust. By adding scents, your home smells incredible. It also has a hepa filter. There are no bags or filters to clean or purchase.
My daughter borrowed mine several months ago, allegedly to do a deep clean. She says the air cleaning system is helping with her allergies so I decided to abandon my old one and get a new one! After reading reviews on refurbished units, I decided to go to the Rainbow web site to get one from an authorized distributor, otherwise there’s no warranty. Ack!!
All in all, I highly recommend a Rainbow. Yes, they are pricey, but they replace many different household items. They dust the floor, wash the floor, mop, vacuum carpet and area rugs, there is also a carpet cleaning accessory. They clean upholstery. They replace air purifiers and deodorizers. They hold down dust, and can sanitize the air while making your home look and smell fantastic.
