can't tract packages to U.S. or find out why delayed. can't start a return to you even it's unopened. over charged at checkout for shipping at final chick out. worse of all bull crap charges for ATM fee charges on cards not stated on final sale of order' wicth is illegal.
It’s great to find the albums I bought to both available & at a good price, and they are top notch versions. I’m puzzled by the delayed postage, and that the two albums were shipped separately (same day) but having queried the time they were taking (quick response) one arrived two days later, and the other two days after that… Price is great, Service is great, Courier is terrible…but I notice an alternative courier delivered a more recent order, so fingers crossed!
Good price, very competitive, and service. The Royal Mail delivery was slow, and when I checked with Rarewaves that the CD had been sent they were very prompt with their reply.
A superb selection of music and some really great prices. Be patient as Royal Mail aren't rapid with delivery but really happy with Rarewaves.
Bought a set of mountain bike tires. The title did not match some of the details in the description and I realized this about 10 minutes after ordering. On closer inspection I realized the product in the photo didn't match either. So the title said Downhill, the photo showed Super Gravity and the Description said SnakeSkin casings - all different products. The site would not let me cancel the order. Then realized they don't have a phone number so I am now waiting for an email response from them to figure out which product I even ordered: the one in the product title, the one in the stock photo, or the one in the description of the product page. Ridiculous that I cannot immediately cancel within such a short amount of time.
Edit: I was able to find the EU Right to Withdraw Order Cancellation form after doing some research and the order was confirmed cancelled via email minutes after that. Glad I could cancel but what a huge waste of time.
The Blu-ray arrived in good condition within the specified timeframe. The IOSS system worked as well; I didn’t have to pay anything extra afterwards.
King of the Two 4K UHD for £30 offer. Delivery takes a good few days/a week but rarely beaten on price.
This company is selling used CDs as new. Rarewaves place the used CDs in a buffering machine and then, after a so called clean, in which a protective layer is removed, Rarewaves then reseal and sell as new.
I know this because my last 3 orders from Rarewaves have been subject to this treatment. They are the following:
The Kinks Singles collection
The Very best of the Byrds
Also The best of New Order ( case damaged) also buffered.
Utter sheer dishonesty.
I also believe there is a policy of black marking customers who return items.
I have at least 2 other CDs ordered though I have requested a cancellation.
Very happy with my record and the customer service is excellent, will definitely be ordering again.
They always dispatch slow and it arrives slow, in parts or not at all. Because of this, it's always a tense experience getting from Rarewaves but the trouble is they're the single most best resource for physical media like music CDs or blurays nowadays.
Maybe improve this by giving customers the tracking right away? I've had to ask for it separately through support and I think that's a real hassle for both parties.
The books arrive in pristine condition, no scratch on them, nothing. Delivery was fast considering I live outside UK.
Super customer service & great prices (especially with the sales!)
This is the second time I have to contact you for tracking my order.
You don't add my phone number on the lable so I don't get a notification about my order waiting for me at a particular spot
Was a bit worried at their Trustpilot score before my first purchase but they have proven to be good value and reliable thought delivery can be slow (I think their stock is held in Europe and they choose economical postage to keep the prices down). So consider that when making a purchase but so far so good.
This is not the first time this has happened and is why I am now writing a review to warn others.
Rarewaves sometimes have items at good prices, I want to buy them and in order to get free shipping I buy other things to get above £20 minimum. Then what always seems to happen is the item I really wanted in the order gets lost in transit - other items arrive, but the thing I really wanted doesn’t.
It’s seems to me that Rarewves is abusing the "lost in transit" option to hide inventory errors and protect their seller metrics. There is never any tracking on orders, and they take weeks to arrive — and it’s only then that I’m told the popular item that was cheap and I really wanted, got lost.
They then refuse to let me wait for it to come back in stock — and just refund me. I’ve asked several times if I can just wait but they will not let me.
As far as I’m concerned they didn’t have much stock of the item in the first place, or had no idea how much stock there was and just sold as many as they could and refunded later, blaming couriers rather than their lack of stock.
I’m not ordering from them anymore. It’s not worth the wait to just be told it got lost repeatedly.
If you use Rarewaves you have to be comfortable with a 50/50 chance of getting what you ordered. Good luck!
Purchased at a great price, took a little bit longer than expected to arrive, however, postage was free, so can't really complain.
