Rarewaves offer extremely competitive pricing for their CDs. As others state, delivery isn't the quickest, but the CDs did arrive within their stated delivery time. The only reason I haven't left a 5*... See more

This is not the first time this has happened and is why I am now writing a review to warn others.
Rarewaves sometimes have items at good prices, I want to buy them and in order to get free shipping I buy other things to get above £20 minimum. Then what always seems to happen is the item I really wanted in the order gets lost in transit - other items arrive, but the thing I really wanted doesn’t.
It’s seems to me that Rarewves is abusing the "lost in transit" option to hide inventory errors and protect their seller metrics. There is never any tracking on orders, and they take weeks to arrive — and it’s only then that I’m told the popular item that was cheap and I really wanted, got lost.
They then refuse to let me wait for it to come back in stock — and just refund me. I’ve asked several times if I can just wait but they will not let me.
As far as I’m concerned they didn’t have much stock of the item in the first place, or had no idea how much stock there was and just sold as many as they could and refunded later, blaming couriers rather than their lack of stock.
I’m not ordering from them anymore. It’s not worth the wait to just be told it got lost repeatedly.
If you use Rarewaves you have to be comfortable with a 50/50 chance of getting what you ordered. Good luck!
Purchased at a great price, took a little bit longer than expected to arrive, however, postage was free, so can't really complain.
Great prices, great selection, well packaged and good delivery.
First order – significant delivery delay, but issue ultimately resolved
I placed my first order with Rarewaves on 24 August for four 4K Blu-rays. The order was dispatched on 26 August via Royal Mail 2nd Class, but there was no tracking provided.
When the order hadn't arrived, I contacted Rarewaves on 27 August and was told to allow 3–5 working days, with the possibility of it taking longer. I gave it more time, but by 4 September I still hadn't received anything and contacted them again.
I didn't receive a response to that message, but on 7 September Rarewaves contacted me to apologise and offered to send a replacement.
Ironically, the original order arrived in the post later that same day, so the replacement is no longer needed.
It's disappointing that the order took this long to arrive and that tracking wasn't available, and I would have preferred a quicker response to my follow-up message. However, I do appreciate that Rarewaves ultimately offered a replacement without making things difficult.
My first order with Rarewaves wasn't a particularly smooth experience, although they did ultimately do the right thing by offering a replacement.
Ordered one blu ray from them on the 26th August. They advised me it was dispatched on 27th August but no tracking was available.
More days went by until they now advised me that the item was dispatched on the 1st September. This time it had tracking. Hmmm.
Fast forward 6 days and the Royal Mail tracking says "We're expecting it" for an item that was SUPPOSEDLY sent at 15:18 on 1st September.
This is verging on fraudulent. Hard to believe the owner of this company has an MBE and has or does advise the Bank of England!!
12 days on from ordering, the Royal Mail still don't have it!! Lies after lies after lies from Rarewaves.
Never again.
Great products, great price and consistently great customer service/support.
Good and cheap. But not that many classic titles of BluRay and 4K
The items arrived in a good condition with minimal to no ware or damage, the prices are budget friendly and the amount of stuff you can find on their website is astounding.
The only issue i had was with the delivery of items in batches instead of a single package since i ordered to outside of the uk.
Even though they mentioned it on their website, they should've been more explicit about it during payment / ordering and maybe give a heads up for the customer that his stuff is in fact going to be delivered in batches across a week or two instead of a vague "on thier way".
Other than that, fantastic quality and pricing and the customer support replied quickly and offered a solution for my problem.

Choice, customer care, prices and I might add Paypal are the winning elements that make Rarewaves unique and please keep that way.

An item failed to arrive. I contacted Rarewaves and a replacement was sent. I have bought from Rarewaves many times before and my shopping experience has always been more than satisfactory. Buy with confidence.

3-stars, because my order arrived - eventually!
It took Rarewaves several days before they even confirmed my order. That was on the 24th August. On the 26th August I got an email to say the order had been despatched, with an estimated delivery date of 31st August. It eventually arrived on 5th September. So, that's c.2-weeks to deliver a single DVD within the UK. No tracking number provided, so I couldn't even check it for myself. Even ParcelFarce could do better than that.
Yes, they offer keen prices, but then they shoot themselves in the foot by using Whistl to fulfill the orders. Although the delays appear to be the fault of Whistl, Rarewaves must take responsibility for using them in the first place. They (Rarewaves) have obviously been aware of delivery problems for quite some time (see the many negative reviews), but appear to have done nothing about it. Speaking personally, I'd much rather pay a little extra for orders that come with tracking numbers and the expectation of reasonable delivery times. How about you?

I’m happy Rarewaves was able to ship BBC Chronicles of Narnia remastered Blu-ray to Puerto Rico. I was really hoping to get a copy and it worked out perfectly!!! Thank you so much!
