Total cowboys. Disgusting threatening attitude once they realised I cottoned on before parting with any money. They kept phoning demanding the money as they had provided a service. I had to be extremely rude to them until they understood I WAS NOT PAYING........... STEER WELL CLEAR.... do not pay, they wont take you to court, just tell them to F@*K OFF

FRAUD! This company took over £1000 from us making all sorts of promises. They then sat back and did nothing! We tried to contact them and nothing! They did not even put our appeal through and even contacted us recently to gain our custom again for the exact same case. SCAMMERS! Avoid them at all costs!

It took a long time to get the process going but in the end we got all our rates back and the service was great. Thank you.

Very cynical when we signed up with Rates and Rental surveyors having suffered similar firms making promises that weren't fulfilled, In fact they did exactly what they promised providing us a substantial reduction in our business rates with a considerable net saving.

Would recommend but be aware 12 week turn around promise at the start ended up one year to resolve, the valuation office have a massive back log,. Which was not there fault,. Only downfall was they were not very good at returning phone calls

Don't use them paid around £1,000 18 months ago and after repeated attempts to get them to do anything nothing happened. This company is fraudulent. Don't make the same mistake we did.

I have been working with Mike from Rates and Rental to reduce my business rates. Although it has taken a while to complete it is now finalised and I have received a considerable refund from the rating authority.

Stay clear they will take your money and will see no savings!!! They are fraudsters.

Total scammers. They will promise you big reductions and it's only to get you to sign up. Once you're signed up they will threaten you will court action if you object to any part of their service. They keep the duration of the contract quiet, but you're tied into repeated reviews of business rates in the future. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! Their telephone manner is hard and aggressive. Staff are very threatening. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

I wrote a review on the 2nd of April stating I had taken this terrible company of fraudsters to court and won.
They rang me today to introduce themselves and offering to come and review my business as they were certain they could reduce my rates !!! They even quoted the ‘expert’ Nick Browne would come and give me his expert assessment......just like last time!
They were surprised when I related our recent court experience.

Terrible experience using these guys had to chase them several of times only for it to come to nothing i'd avoid this company like the plague. Felt totally ripped off from empty promises.

This chap asked to speak to me the owner on the telephone, he was told I was busy as I was. He then says he's going to come in today (without an appointment) to save us money on our rates (we just had a rate review last month). I said I'm busy and I'm not interested, he then replied, "You are rude aren't you", I replied, you've just broke me off a client I was busy with and now you're calling me rude. I then checked them out and couldn't help but leave the deserved feedback everyone else seems to have left too. We'll done R&R on your superb cold calling techniques.

What an absolute joke. We were approached after taking on a new business and told we were entitled to a large rates refund. Paid over £900 up front to this bunch. 3 months later we had heard nothing so began chasing them. Still got no response until I began to really chase & then (surprise,suprise), had a e mail saying that the appeal was unsuccessful. That was the last I heard. 1 year on have gone with a no win, no fee company (LHL) who got us over £5k within 2 months of the process starting & an ongoing reduction of 40% pa on our business rates

Dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare. They lied to us at the start of the process by saying we were definitely due a refund on our business rates due to incorrect measurements and the council not taking the kitchen area into account, only for them to come back over year later and say this was actually not the case. The communication has been terrible and it has taken them months to action anything and get answers. Do not waste your money or time with them, they're absolute crooks. I wish we had seen these reviews before!!

cant add anymore than what has already been said - so wished I had read these feedback first before signing and spending my money.

Please, please, please do yourself a favour and do not deal with this shame of a company.

Three times I have had my review of this Company taken down, I notice reading through the rest of the reviews I am not the only one this has happened to. That in itself should speak volumes. So to keep it brief so they have no cause to challenge my review again, I echo all the bad reviews on here, I too have had money taken from me and not heard anything from them since. I have reported to Trading Standards and like the reviewer below think Rouge Traders may well be my next course of action.

Totally agree mr paul Curtis , I've not heard from this company for over 18 months , then they get a rude disrespectful young lad to phone me with absolute ridiculous requests for payments
Their salesman has left to live in Thailand, The boy that rang me admitted the salesmen left because he fed customers or clients whatever we called wrong misleading information and promises of large lump sum rebates dating back 6 years, I am looking forward very much to the county court threat issued verbally, absolute clueless , rude, disrespectful gentleman

I just read a positive review a long way down the page which confirms what a disgrace this company is , I couldn't believe it
The crown inn , when the salesman came to my restaurant he brought his friend along who was the landlord of the crown inn to inform me I will benefit from a huge rebate , the exact figures published below

I am so looking forward to my court case now hopefully I will get my ££££ back

An absolute joke of a company.
I am currently looking for others who have had the misfortune of being conned, harassed, bullied into paying these liars money. I cant be bothered to go into detail on this format, I am looking to take action on a much higher platform.
Together we a stronger.

They keep trying to delete my review under the pretence that I'm a competitor. (as many are experiencing)

Please listen to the countless other negative reviews on this site, Rates & Rentals should be avoided at all costs.

DO NOT USE this 'Company'. They are a sham. I paid in Oct 2017 and its now FEb 19 and I have heard NOTHING!

I chase and they never, ever, ever respond

My suggestion is: Do it yourself - it doesn't look too difficult!
