We were lucky to find Angus Kerr at Rathbones through a friends reccomendation for investment advice.
As micice investors, Angus (and his very competent team) were ideal for us. Since that time in 2018 we have been more than confident and satisfied with the entire service provided by Rathbones. As a result we were happy to move more investments over to them last year. Despite challenging world events we have been delighted with the performance of all aspects.
Angus and his friendly, helpful and VRRY patient team have been exactly what we were looking for as a family to plan for the future.

I have invested in various Scottish investment companies for some 40 years. I am a great believer in that it is the individuals that make these investments successful more so than the companies themselves. Over the years I have been able to stay loyal to the "team" that have supported me and as they have evolved their careers and have moved companies to increase their knowledge, work around take-overs or even face retirement(!) I have moved seamlessly with them. Recently my long term contact at Rathbones came for to his retirement but, before this time he had made sure that I was used to dealing with others within his team so when he eventually left total and trustworthy continuity was maintained. Obviously they are ably assisted by the backroom support services within Rathbones and as a "total" package I would unhesitatingly recommend the company to other individuals looking for someone to manage their investments.

My 93 year old mum has had her investments with Rathbones for a few years. Recently I have been helping her with her financial accounts as her power of attorney. Despite me being unfamiliar with my mum's investments, I have been made to feel very welcomed and trusted among the Rathbones staff, in particular Christopher Johnstone. He has always taken extra efforts to explain mum's investments and how these are maturing and how to use her funds wisely so that mum can stay in her own home and receive the care that she needs at home. This has been a very positive experience and a learning curve for me. Christopher has been careful to explain every step of the investment procedure with me and gives positive guidance at every step of the way, I also much appreciate the extra benefits from Rathbones as they offer fascinating webinars for the uninitiated. Most grateful to see the financial markets from a wider perspective. I would heartily recommend them to any prospective client.

Their web provision has improved in many ways and presentations are made by senior executives to communicate relevant economic and financial views on line.
At a time where market returns are volatile and sometimes flat, customers may be tempted to use less costly self-service investment providers. Thus there is a need from a local base to be certain that Rathbones can bridge the gap between local / relevant and corporate and strategic. Trustpilot reviews may correctly provide acknowledgement to staff in a city office. However, customer intelligence across a range of scales and geographies will be required to maintain the customer base and satisfaction levels given strong market competition.
