Absolutely first rate - thoroughly recommend
William and his team are absolutely first rate and I’d recommend them to anyone.
I’m not an especially trusting person… I take a while so that I can see people in action of a good period of time and from several angles. But William and his colleagues, especially Lily, have proven to be absolutely solid. They’re also easy to work with, very responsive, they know their stuff and they do really seem to care.
I feel very glad that they’re managing my portfolio.

William Day and his team have been looking after my wife's and my investments (as well as those of my late sister's trust) for many years.

The first thing to say, the most important, is that the returns on capital are extremely good. Even with difficult times over many years Rathbones London have been able to navigate their way through and present significant results. Following on from this it is very important to say that Rathbones London, led by William Day, are always approachable, responsive and quite excellent in their considered advice. Clear, consistent and client focussed advice and support
We have been clients of Rathbones for over 10 years and I have always felt that William Day and his team, have had our best interests at the centre of the service they provide. Their communication with us has been excellent - both rectively in response to our needs and also proactively in matters that they felt we should know about!
The information on the portal is also very easy to access and understand.
Their investment advice is always clear and up to date with the emphasis on the long to medium term rather than following short term trends.

William and his team at Rathbones have done a great job for us over the last decade. They have managed not only our investments but both our mothers and now our adult children as well. It's the people that count.
My wife and I followed Matthew Fry from our previous fund manager two years ago when he moved on. Trusting and liking your immediate contacts are key to a good relationship and Matthew ticked all the boxes. We know he is always available for a well-informed, understandable update on the markets. Those colleagues we have subsequently met and spoken to have been no less capable, open and friendly.
2 years may be a bit short to assess performance reliably but for calendar year 2025 our balanced portfolio was up 11.83% (vs ARC +8.68%). Since
inception (31 May 2024) up 15.02% (vs ARC +14.04%). A good start!
