My Experience with RCB Group & Advice Sought
I feel compelled to share my experience with RCB Group and Mr. Vasi, as I found myself in a
situation that, in hindsight, could have been avoided had I chosen a contractor more wisely - if I had chosen RCB group !!
Back in late 2023, I approached RCB as part of the tendering process for my home renovation.
Due to personal circumstances, my project was put on hold, but when I revisited it in 2024, RCB were incredibly accommodating and responsive once again.

Mr. Vasi and his team visited us and its clear his knowledge and enthusiasm, professionalism, and organisation stand out from many other contractors we had "interviewed"
The use of technology was impressive—3D and 360° scans of every room, a thorough on-site survey, and a very
detailed, transparent scope of works. The quote I received was long and perhaps overwhelming at the time, but now I see it was crafted to educate and inform clients like me who are unfamiliar with building projects. It was homework that should be done, whenever possible

Instead, worn out by the process and tempted by shorter quotes, I regretfully went with a different contractor.
That decision turned into one of the biggest regrets of my financial life. The other contractor was uncovered to be untrustworthy; demanding excessive payments, lacking transparency, and ultimately walking off the job after attempting to coerce me into signing an amendment riddled with overcharging!

After six months of stress, sleepless nights, and budget chaos, I’m now in the position of trying to reclaim my money and find new contractors to rescue the project. Through all of this, Mr. Vasi, Anna and Marius have been a rare gem. Despite not being awarded the original job, he generously offered guidance and support when things went wrong. He didn’t dwell on the past but
instead helped us focus on what could still be achieved. His pragmatic and uplifting approach
brought some much-needed light during an incredibly difficult time.

RCB Group’s professionalism, ethics, and client-first attitude have been a breath of fresh air.
If other builders operated with the same respect, integrity, and work ethic that Mr. Vasi brings to the table, the construction industry would have a far better reputation.

My Key Takeaways:

 If a contractor asks you questions and gives you “homework” like RCB did—do it. It means
they care.
 Never sign anything under pressure.
 Insist on a schedule of works, tied to clear deliverables and quality milestones.
 Avoid any contractor asking for large upfront payments not tied to completed tasks.  Choose established, reputable companies with a proven track record (like RCB Group, who’ve been around for over 5 years).
 Be cautious of companies younger than 2 years—check everything thoroughly.
Match the google reviews with the "marketing site" reviews. Where the number of reviews have large discepancies, be cautious!
Check if the key personnel setup up frequent LTD and dissolve them before 2 years. Also if they use similar sounding names and are go back to the same persons.
 Don’t rely solely on feedback from current clients on active sites—they may just want their job finished quickly and be less exploited!

 Avoid % payment plans—they’re vague and often deliberate and illegal to confuse clients.
Where contractors ask you to give them notice of when you are coming to your own site, be suspicious as they are likely to be working on other projects and only presenting themselves at key moments!

I've used Vasi on a couple of house renovations. I've found everything to be wonderful. I like his attention to detail and his honesty. The quote was exceptionally detailed, so I knew exactly what I was paying for and exactly how much he was charging me. I knew the day rates and the changes in scope were well managed. It can be quite emotional having someone working on your home, so I recommend Vasi. He's patient. He's skilled. He's funny and will want to make you happy.

I’m doing a side return extension and full renovation to my home in SW London. This is my first time doing any home renovations. I’m roughly halfway through the process but so far, Vasi and his team have been a pleasure to work with. They’re very professional and have given me some great ideas without pressuring me into making decisions. They offer a full suite of services from initial design through to managing each step of the process. They’ve taken away a lot of the stress for someone that’s not familiar with how it all works. I found Vasi and his team online. They are very thorough and professional from the beginning. Very knowledgeable and offers great advice.

They first do a house visit. Then a video call to check the quote is exactly what you need. A message group is then set up for easy communication.

Highly recommended and all builders should really operate like this but unfortunately most they do not.

We have used the RCB team to completely renovate our new house. About 90% of the way though and things going great. Vasi and his team have been very responsive, efficient, and are doing great work. They have a wealth of expertise and professionals to call on, meaning they can deal with pretty much anything we throw at them! Looking forward to the final push and us moving in!
