Received a cold call from this company

Received a cold call from this company. Lied to a colleague by claiming they had spoken to me before. When challenged on this, they put the phone down. Quickest and easiest way to accumulate 1* Trustpilot reviews for Reach PLC, well done.

Really good experience

I ordered three newspapers on the 25th of May and they arrived all together very quickly (which was really great). My only problem is that I didn't receive any order confirmation other than an email telling me my payment went through. I also didn't receive any emails telling me when my magazines would arrive or if they were even out for delivery. Other than that I enjoyed shopping and probably will use Reach again if needed.

Carries out Shadowbans

Carries out Shadowbans means all of your comments on their news articles are permanently hidden from anyone but yourself. Their TOS makes no mention of this tactic and makes clear this is against their own rules as if you break the rules your account is terminated with you being told as such. Not your posts hidden from view.

Poor content

A dozen articles a day about soaps and reality TV. The promotion of high street shops under the pretence of 'news'. Creating articles on what half a dozen people have said on twitter isn't news. Modern media is garbage and reach plc are top of the clickbait tree.

Uninstalled after being asked to pay

Review for the Manchester evening news app, used to be enjoyable to use and read but in the last couple of years just gone downhill and half the time you click one story and a totally different one will open or they have nonsense articles promoting shops and businesses but worded to try sound like it's not an advert,

Now they think people want to subscribe to their rubbish and will only show you half a story and ask you to pay £2.99 a month to read the rest of it.

Just uninstalled the app as wouldnt pay to read their advert filled garbage

Media censorship

How can one person who decides what another can say and deletes it is not a democratic society.
Yes but this is moderation by reach plc. Anything near the truth that can be verified is deleted on their comments page as it doesn’t fit their agenda.

Sarah Lester still tweeting info…

Sarah Lester still tweeting info graphics showing Reach are successful when the whole report is a farce that Impress, Full Fact & many more have shown was deliberately weighted and manipulated to show Reach in a more favourable light than other publishers. No end to their desperation and dishonesty.

New weekend

New weekend, same dirt stalker Reach Leech media tabloid dregs bugging people on social media, copying and recycling content. Ben Arnold will be held to account. Several of their staff will be facing civil cases very soon. The community is ready to safeguard itself against the warped desperado antics of Sarah Lester and Darren Thwaites. The IPSO have failed. Class war looms. Reach staff will lose.

Very cunning and implicit culture of…

Very cunning and implicit culture of xenophobia and simplistic ideas of a complex society, which they use to generate emotion based click bait, often veiled as caring about people. The company is all about profit. I heard jokes about complaints about the deliberately laggy and terrible websites designed to trick people into clicking on money making popups and click bait articles, jokes about the profit these generate and how poor the users must be. There are no plans to improve the terrible websites across the group as they generate wealth for those at the top.

The British public are seen as stupid fools by this company and they do not care at all.

Reach is pervasive in British media be careful if you are on their websites their cookies implant software that changes your chrome to yahoo search which is less stable than others so they can take your data more easily.

Absolutely disgusting levels of…

Absolutely disgusting levels of institutionalised racism and xenophobia - shadow banning of comments calling out racists, while the racists themselves are left to spout any possible disgusting slur under the sun. This company is not a news company it's a social engineering experiment run amok.

They deactivate most comments on…

They deactivate most comments on articles in the Chronicle regardless of what you say. It can have no swearing, no political agenda, cause no argument or be aimed at nobody and yet it’s still deactivated for violating the house rules!?

The paper itself is full of rubbish anyway and mostly advertising or sycophantic on local celebrities.

Are Reach going to insist on vaccines…

Are Reach going to insist on vaccines for their staff? Disgusting tyrants. Daily Record's rat faced columnist John Niven suggesting not taking the vaccine is only for the stupid? The same stupids that read that utter tripe. Even your coupons selling the record for 30p and still nobody is reading. John Niven, you are a rat faced hack. There is absolutely nothing journalistic about you. When the dust has settled you had better be prepared to stand by your words. Your betrayal of this country and its people will not be forgotten.
