Horrible company exploiting neurodiverse people

I had an appointment for an ADHD assessment. In every single contact with Recognition Health, they were repeating that any reschedule or cancelation with less than 48 hours' notice would get me charged the full amount of the appointment.

26 hours before the appointment, they rescheduled it to the next day, at a time that I am not available. They have not replied to 3 emails. I finally managed to get someone on the phone after multiple attempts. After a significant delay, I received an email that my appointment was moved to a different slot tomorrow that, again, does not work for me. They also claim there is no liability for them despite the cancelation of my initial appointment with a short notice.

That is an appalling service from a company that obviously only cares about exploiting people instead of supporting them.

The consultant I saw several times was excellent, but the so-called management of the Clinic is abysmal.

The consultant I saw several times was very professional, thorough and helpful. However, when, several times, she had family problems abroad and was away for weeks at a time unexpectedly, all our numerous phone calls and emails to ReCognition, concerning dosages, side effects and requests to change meds., went completely unanswered. Appalling 'management'. And to add insult, I then got an email from Emer, the owner? major shareholder?, asking for donations to fund research. Absolutely shameless. All you decent consultants, leave reCognition before your professional reputations are in tatters.

Poor customer service

Very annoyed at this company - most of the top private Consultants for brain injury have gone under this company. It is near impossible to contact them. Since January 2 2026 Ive been trying to make an appointment with a Neurologist linked with the company. Im still waiting. There is no answer on the phone, emails go unanswered for weeks. If these private Consultants thought it would be a good idea to go with this company then I suggest they remove themselves from it. With this company its almost like they are Barring potential paying patients from getting to see those Consultants in the private sector. The company Reconition health has flooded the private sector any website you go on looking for private consults you are directed to this company to book, which you cannot do. Its incredibly frustrating and very poor customer service and worrying because you cannot get to see the Consultants you need to see.

USE CAUTION follow up

The company may help many people, but for a solid bonafide experience, try somewhere else. They start off well and it sounds legit but the followup is non existent. Use extreme caution or you will waste many months trying to get help and direction for a catastrophic illness. They do not follow up with appointments, calls, emails, explanation of tests results. A screening that they say is complete in 8 weeks, never gets completed, 16 weeks later. The office appears to be a temporary facility with sparse accomodations. They never answer the phone and your screening is never completed. You do earn the $125 but at what cost.
I have talked with Re-cognition staff and there was an internal issue but they are back on track now, I understand. They have offered me a position in their upcoming phase 3 study and I will begin the process at the end of March. I have found it extremely difficult to meet eligibility requirements with most of these research study facilities, close to impossible. I will keep this post updated as I begin the screening process. It is an extraordinary drug in this study and I am caustiously optimistic.

They should be ashamed.

They should be ashamed.
They should be ashamed.

After an initial diagnosis, we traveled to London for a follow up appointment as a family. I took a day off work.

It was a very emotional day that I had personally psyched myself up for.

After waiting in reception for ages, a junior member of staff told us somebody had forgotten to put the appointment in the diary and Dr. Fenu wasn’t even in London.

Appalling.

Our next appointment was then also canceled. And we have had such a difficult time re-booking we are leaving the clinic and starting again elsewhere.

This is a hard enough time for any family, but the way we have been carelessly looked after has caused even further distress.

Disgusting.

Dr Karlikova assessments

Dr Karlikova has assets and diagnosed both of my sons with ADHD.

I found her to be very professional, thorough and helpful throughout the process ad would have no hesitation recommending her and her services to anyone in need. .

I am horrified with this company

I am horrified with this company. Having filled in TWO enquiry forms via their website, they finally send me the initial referral forms. I completed there on behalf of my 5 year old son, which contained very sensitive information. I chased this up after 4 days, via answer phone and email. Hearing nothing, I then chased them up again, via answer phone and email. Thus lies, in someone's inbox, incredibly sensitive data about my son. And there is also a small child desperately needing help from a company who won't respond. Horrifying. Please do not use this company.

Won't communicate

Having completed the phone survey and received all the bumf, I emailed with a query: a week later I emailed again. Recognition ignored both emails. A week later I emailed saying that since they won't communicate with me I shall not be attending the initial assessment: they replied with a thumbs up icon! No hint of apology or explanation. Since they won't respond to emails I'm not at all happy about being a guinea-pig for them.
