Worst customer service ever. Order placed months ago. No indication of low or out of stock. No shipment, no returned calls, and no order updates despite multiple attempts to contact customer service. I am now pursuing a credit card dispute.
Direct and Forthright information
Raj answered my questions in a direct forthright manner. I appreciate the clarity. He solved a question for me which enabled me to go forward with the purchase.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Ordered a kayak on 1/27 and after order confirmation have received no communication as of 2/6. Emailed their support 4 times over that span trying to get any info and was ignored. Called yesterday and got the runaround from a customer service rep claiming the item was on backorder the previous week (false) and that they would reply to my email to resolve. Then radio silence and they wouldn’t pick up the phone the next morning. Incredibly annoying experience when a company shows such lack of regard for their customers.
One of the worst online shopping…
One of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve had. Borderline deceptive.
Recreation Outfitters listed an outdoor table at a steep discount compared to the original seller, which is the only reason I ordered from them. Immediately after purchase, I started receiving repeated “shipping delay” notices. When I finally called customer service, I was told the table had been mispriced and that they could offer me a “discounted” replacement price — which they claimed would be at least $300 less than the brand's website's listing. That turned out to be false. Based on my credit card statements, the discount was closer to $100.
Then I was told the item was backordered for eight weeks, even though the manufacturer’s own website showed it as available. I waited the eight weeks anyway. No table. No shipping confirmation.
Over the next several weeks, I followed up multiple times. Customer service was unfailingly friendly but completely ineffective — always blaming vague “shipping issues,” always promising an update “very soon,” and never delivering one. Weeks turned into over a month. Still nothing.
Eventually, they simply stopped responding altogether. No updates. No resolution. I had to call Amex and dispute the charge to get my money back.
This feels like classic bait-and-switch paired with endless delay tactics. Friendly voices on the phone don’t make up for misinformation, broken promises, and ultimately being ghosted. I would strongly advise anyone considering a purchase here to look elsewhere.

When your site shows 5% discount for…
When your site shows 5% discount for first time buyers and I put in the code and it said "that doesn't apply to your item". That was a big disappointment. You should not advertise discount if it does not apply to ALL items.
Disorganized company
I placed an order on 12/14/25 and am just finding out today (12/22/25)that the item is not in stock and therefore will not arrive before Christmas. It is so disappointing to not have been given the information earlier.
No one responded to my emails and I finally reached customer service to learn of this.
Bad communication. Disappointing experience.
Overall worth it
I can understand why some people are frustrated and think it might be a scam site. The item I ordered didn't ship on time and it was a little annoying to have to wait, but the customer service guy Raj did a great job of making sure everything was eventually shipped and I received the pool cue my girlfriend ordered one week after we thought it was coming. So all in all a minor inconvenience in the big picture for the great deal that we got on it! Thanks for all the support on this!

Ordered a product. Could not get confirmation on a cancellation. Never received the product but had to go through my credit card company to dispute the purchase to get credit. Will never use them again.

Stay away! This 'business' is a total scam. They do not provide any delivery dates, do not permit you to track your order with any information, do not follow up on calls and emails to customer service as they promise, and make it impossible to cancel and get a refund. Do NOT purchase anything from this sham outfit. You will regret doing any business with them.

My order was charged and then never shipped. A different product was delivered which I have not been able to return as they have not initiated a return process. They remain adamant they have delivered my product. It feels like a scam.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Raj for his efforts and dedication he put forth while providing assistance as a Customer Service Representative at Recreation Outfitters.
On 15 June, I contacted Customer Service regarding a potential purchase of a Hanover - Manor 5-Piece High-Dining Set. I was very hesitant to make the purchase over the phone without seeing this item in person, but after speaking with Raj I made the purchase on the 16th. Raj, in my opinion, went out of his way to relive my anxiety and contact me via email or telephonically to keep me informed of the location, tracking and delivery time and date.
He answered all questions without hesitation and thoroughness. His excellent communication skills, knowledge of processes, and willingness to take some extra steps and efforts are commendatory.
Customer Service was excellent
Ordering was easy. After the order was placed, there was little to no info available on line regarding the order for several days.
I called and spoke with Raj. He was extremely helpful. His assistance and follow up was exceptional and much appreciated. He followed the transaction all the way through to confirming delivery.
