This app is exactly what I needed
This app is exactly what I needed. Totally wiped my 11 years of twitter history which would have taken me 100 years to do manually. Thank you.

I had years worth of Facebook posts I wanted to delete, and Redact helped me do that. I had an issue with a renewing subscription and the support team helped out very quickly!
Program works exactly as advertised
Program works exactly as i needed it to. was able to purge 27k messages from a discord DM. Support team was quick to respond and help me take care of a question i had.
Stellar support for an already-excellent product
I’ve been running a month-long Redact job on Windows and bumped into a quirky UI issue after my PC woke from sleepthe window would come up completely blank. I dropped a note in the support channel and was blown away by the response:
Fast hand-off & clear communication: Scott triaged my report right away and looped in a developer so nothing fell through the cracks.
Honest, technical answers: Explained what was happening (Windows stops rendering the window after hibernating) and gave me a practical workaround while they investigate a permanent fix.
Knowledge-sharing culture: My off-the-cuff discovery that Ctrl+R refreshes the UI helped two other users immediately. Support celebrated that win instead of brushing it off.
Road-map transparency: They even took the time to discuss a possible headless/CLI mode
Since then, Redact has chewed through weeks of data flawlessly, and the Ctrl + R refresh means I can monitor progress without restarting anything. That kind of responsive, collaborative support turns a great tool into an indispensable one.
Keep up the awesome work, Redact team. Looking forward to the headless mode someday!
Huge timesaver for Facebook
I've been on Facebook for 18 years. Now I want a blank profile. Redact has been deleting my posts, likes, tags, etc over the past few days. Also, I had a double charge that I didn't notice and the team reached out to me to fix it.
Great Product & Support
I got Redact to clear about 16 years of social media activity on multiple platforms quickly and easily. And as a result purchased a Premium 1 year license. It worked great with some (X, Discord, etc) but initially I had an issue with FB and older content more than a few years old (this it turned out was largely due to the amount of content overall in my FB account).
Anyway reached out to support and it was great - they were responsive and stepped through a couple of options with me to verify issue and advise solution. With the use of the advanced options in the desktop app I am now blitzing through deleting 16-17 years of activity and content from Facebook! With my other accounts already largely done I'll be de-social mediaed in no time! Thanks Redact - highly recommended.
P.S. If, like me, you plan on permanently deleting some (or possibly all) of your social media accounts I suggest you make sure you delete all your content first and wait to be sure it's gone from the account's recycling bin (e.g. 30 days on Facebook) before you delete the actual account (just to be safe). Redact is perfect to do all that deleting fast and easily so you can either delete the account ASAP or continue to do rolling deletions of your new content every 30 days or so...
Great customer service
I had an issue where I got premium, but I didn't need it. Sent an email to support later in the evening, got an extremely quick response and they were able to refund me because I hadn't used any premium services.
Product did not work
Product did not work. Customer service was not responsive. Waste of money.

Pretty neat, great support
The App is neat, has an easy overlay and is easy to handle.
What I have to say tho, it does have some issues in it, such as chat detection on reddit. However, I contacted the support which was straightforwards and very quick in responding. The issue was, thanks to this, quickly resolved.
Sure, it would be neat if something like that worked without problems, I get you guys there. But no system is perfect and to improve it the key source is the support and management. Which in my oppinion is more than satisfying for that app.

Bought it to purge a former NSFW reddit account. All seemed fine, but it CANT delete any posts that contain redgifs links. I of course asked support for help, and their email support was dumb as shit. They had no idea how to process a ticket requesting help. Then they send me to their discord because they gave up, where I was just met by a mod that would summed up say ''we're working on it'', while they refused to refund my money. Only when i threatened with EU buyers protection, they answered again and refunded the money. They stopped responding after that.
Unserious, unprofessional, and cluttered business. Please use any other business that offers their service at a FRACTION of their cost.

Great product, great customer service
After having successfully used Redact , I got a problem with the automatic renewal. They solved it immediately! A great customer service.
Used it back when it was free and worked wonders!
I haven't used the paid version but back when this was free, I found it and utilized it to clean an account (after testing on a burner ofc), and it deleted everything I asked for it. I wiped my Twitter account prior to it being X, but now I am curious as to how that would work with Musk's new implemented API limits. Regardless from what I remember using the app it would even pause and wait when it got throttled and continue after so I assume this would again be the case today even if it took longer due to the limits. Now I am seeing their ads pop up and it's cool to see a US based privacy company that allows you to control your data still - even when it's deleted it remains on your device (only if you choose to retain a copy of the deleted).
This is utter garbage - AVOID!
This is utter garbage, I bought it to cleanup my Facebook likes, posts and comments. It would run for hours and then eventually blow up - having done very little (if anything?). I reported bugs in the product to the developers, at least one of which was acknowledged and (allegedly) fixed. In the end it took LESS time deleting everything by hand than using this garbage.
I requested a refund and they never replied. I had my credit card company (Barclay's) reverse the charge, but Redact claims I never contacted them with any complaints or request for a refund (both lies!) so Barclay's reversed the reversal! At this point I'm not wasting any more time on this, I STRONGLY recommend steering clear of this scam!
Good software
Good software, what are you waiting for. does twitter and reddit for free, other stuff costs money for a upgrade
I Was Scammed
The company admitted over email and video conference with a developer that the software did not work. They promised a patch that never came. I requested a refund and will remove this review if the refund goes through. I feel scammed.

I used this to delete my tweets and…
I used this to delete my tweets and lines from X. It did ultimately work but I found the instructions lacking in helpful information and explanation. The help desk was awful. I don’t think they understand English well or they don’t truly know how the app works. I would ask a question like should I use this or that and they would answer “yes”. It would not answer the question at all but give a response unrelated to the question, I finally got it to work as I needed it to work after several days of trial and error. Needless to say it was very frustrating plus I had to pay for. Premium version for a year to get the features I needed. Even though I think I it actually worked it was painful.

Terrible experience for those doing (re)visiting forums for research/reference
EDIT: Re: the support response, I understand and appreciate commitment to privacy protections. That being said, I would strongly advise that users looking to delete their entire post history be made *explicitly aware* that this will remove helpful posts the user has made and potentially render threads useless. Not having an account (nor interest in using it) myself, I can't speak to how targeted this mass deletion is. I could accept deletion that flagged certain posts/comments as significant in some way (high upvote outliers, significant volume of responses, "!solved" responses to Reddit comments, etc.) so users could potentially see and decide to leave solutions up while expunging any and all personal posts.
...
Having never used Redact or sought out its service for myself, I overwhelmingly stumble across its influence in technical guides and Reddit/forum threads. I loathe how this service has been used to actively destroy many previously or apparently helpful threads where a solution may have been posted, as it significantly hinders my ability to even tell what information was deleted. While this is technically a complaint regarding how Redact users have used the tool and not a targeted effort by Redact themselves, I fundamentally disagree with the purpose of this app. If a page didn't get saved in the Wayback Machine before the Reddit API row, the thread may be existentially damaged and functionally useless. With the damage dealt to several search engines due to AI hype, it's become many times harder to find accurate information on certain problems (especially but not exclusively technical), so this app strikes me as part of a worrisome trend.

It Works But Has Issues
Redact works effectively to mass delete and anonymize social media comments and posts, however, the automated text input that Redact sometimes uses to overwrite comments is creepy and disturbing - it's not a combination of words that I would ever use myself. For this reason I will never use Redact again. Sorry.
