Positives:
5% deposit contribution from Redrow to help people buy was excellent
Very responsive
Good home
Things to improve on:
Planning was not the best. Physical completion forecasts were very ambitious and had caused personal inconveniences for myself when told completion would be delayed by another month.
Communication could have been better in some areas. I was not told that I would not gain access to the online visual portal anymore due to the merger between redrow and Barratt. This was a key feature that was described to me before the buying process.

We recently bought our new home at Redrow’s Centurion Fields development and have been really happy with the experience.
We looked at quite a few new builds, but the Redrow homes stood out to us for the design, space and overall quality. Now that we have moved in, we genuinely love the house and the development is already starting to feel like home.
There are always going to be a few small things to sort with any new build, but the team have been helpful and responsive when we have raised anything.
Lyndsay was brilliant throughout the buying process. She was friendly, honest and easy to speak to, kept us updated and was always patient with all the many questions we had. She has also continued to help us since moving in, which we really appreciate!
Overall, we are very pleased that we chose Redrow and would happily recommend them to anyone!

We live at the Landings.
The buying of the house was stressful and not without it's problems.
Utility room key was missing and we are fed up with being adjacent to a live building site as in this hot weather so much dust from the site is coming in to our house and there are a lot of snagging issues which for the money we paid I am surprised. Other houses appear to have been finished to a much higher standard.
Having had no key for the utility room they did change the lock only to leave a deep scratch on the inside of the lock which shows the handle and we now want this changed it was not like that before
There are a lot of snagging issues to do and the garage floor is very bad and is crumbling it's wearing away and white stuff coming through the garage wall as well like damp for a brand new house and it's wet.
We put up with building work, delivery, noise and dust and in hot weather we have to have the windows open. We would like not only our remedial works done but compensation for all the inconvenience like putting up our pictures and mirrors doing the light fittings and turfing our garden which has no top soil either.
There is ASB issues from the social housing provider and what could be a lovely estate is being brought down by a minority of wronguns with no respect for other people who paid a lot of money to live here.
It's too early to say whether we regret moving here but it's done now and we have to make the best of this situation and hope it works out as my mother is in her 80's
Customer service could be better. The Sales is good they know how to hook you and once you are hooked and paid then don't want to deal with things.
Redrow were better off not being part of Barratts I think two different markets are being catered for and social housing does not go with a Redrow Estate though we know there are issues the other end. .We are not that near social housing but we are disappointed with our experience here so far. We hope things get sorted and would like a meeting with the site manager tomorrow if possible.
Thank You

The term freehold should mean that you own your house outright and should not be paying additional fees.
However, Redrow and other major housebuilders charge homeowners for the upkeep of roads, pavements, green spaces and parks on their developments. They do not advertise these fees on their websites because they know it would be bad for business.
I live on the Maltings estate in Llantarnam, Cwmbran, and despite multiple complaints about the poor standards of service delivered by Redrow’s chosen contractor, FirstPort, Redrow does nothing about it. This includes serious safety issues, such as a recent incident where a girl injured her foot due to an exposed screw in the park.
Redrow is an appalling and arrogant company. Despite repeatedly pointing out that there are no private signs or restrictions on the estate, and that the street is widely used — and in some cases abused — by the general public, leaving homeowners to pay for repairs, Redrow has no intention of allowing the land to be adopted by the council. In other words, they intend to keep homeowners paying indefinitely by selling these lucrative maintenance contracts.
Never buy a Redrow home.

Disillusioned – Shocking Customer Service & Unfulfilled Promises
As a repeat customer who previously bought a Redrow home, the difference in standards before and after the merger with Barratt is night and day. When dealing strictly with Redrow in the past, the customer experience was top-tier. Since the takeover by Barratt, the quality of customer service has become completely shocking.
Instead of receiving organized support, we are constantly forced to chase customer service for basic responses and updates. Whenever an issue is raised, customer care simply passes the buck off to the site team rather than taking ownership or resolving the problem.
To make matters worse, we used an official friend-recommendation incentive voucher when a friend purchased a home with Redrow on our referral. Despite fulfilling every requirement, we have never received the incentive payment. We have chased customer service regarding this money multiple times across several months, only to be met with complete radio silence.
Buying a home—especially for the second time with the same builder—should come with a level of trust and assurance. Unfortunately, after experiencing how downhill the service has gone post-takeover, I would no longer trust the quality of their customer service or their build. Very disappointing.

My husband and I visited the Daresbury Redrow site approximately two weeks ago.
We wanted to look at a house called the Shaftesbury which is being built in Grappenhall Warrington.
We went to visit your site in Daresbury because there isn't a Shaftesbury show house.
The lady we met was a beautiful Irish lady called Olivia.
She was only there for the day.
The amount of information she gave us about the houses.
She was so polite, patient and kind to me with having an unoperable brain aneurysm it takes a while for information to sink in.
If I remember She works at Ellesmere port.
Kind Regards
Mrs G Jones

We’ve had a fantastic experience so far with Redrow Highgrove Gardens, and a huge part of that is thanks to Emily.
Emily has been absolutely amazing throughout the process. She is kind, approachable, empathetic, and incredibly helpful. She has guided us every step of the way, always taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer any questions we’ve had. At no point have we ever felt pressured or pushed into making decisions, which has made the whole experience so much less stressful. We completely trust her, and her honesty, professionalism, and genuine care have made all the difference.
We have also been in touch with Steph, the Area Sales Manager. Steph has been incredibly supportive throughout the sales progression, keeping us informed and helping everything move along as smoothly as possible.
Emily and Steph are both a real credit to Redrow. Their dedication, professionalism, and excellent customer service have made what can often be a stressful process feel straightforward and enjoyable. We’re so grateful for all of their support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Redrow based on our experience.

We’ve lived in our Redrow Property for 12 months and would highly recommend the staff at Ledsham Garden Village. From initial enquiries and guidance throughout the buying process to support after our move, they’ve been friendly professional and incredibly helpful. We would like to particularly thank Kelly Toner and Robert McCann.
Likewise the site manager Sion, has helped with any snagging issues as soon as they were reported and regularly engages with ourselves and other residents whilst on site.

Sales agents, Donna, Julie and Roxanna were exceptional. They were always available, pro active and very reassuring all the way to us moving in.

Our experience with Redrow has been extremely disappointing. We completed on 26 June and reported kitchen issues immediately, but it took until 21 July for a kitchen fitter to be available. That delay caused further damage, pushed back our tiling works and prevented us moving in as planned.
We have also incurred additional costs and disruption as a direct result of the delay, but Redrow is treating this as usual snagging and not properly addressing the impact on us. That is not acceptable when the issues have caused real delay, expense and stress.
We would not expect this level of aftercare from a major developer.

We went to a site in Cambridgeshire and was looked after by Skye. I must say what a credit to your company so helpful and so knowledgeable at her job, it actually swayed our decision to look at purchasing a redrow home which were in process now.

Very poor service, I injured myself having to climb the showhome as sales manager at The Nook contacted me on personal phone to check the property, having left the site to go home. They admitted this was wrong to ask a customer to do and denied there were railings to the show home which I have photographic evidence for. Not even a remedy but lame response. Other issues include after care which is poor as have 2 internal doors which don’t fully close and they won’t replace them despite it being reported within the 2 year warranty at the time. They changed the mailbox since so isn’t my fault. They make various claims for referral voucher which I did and resulted in them completing and this was not honoured despite us filing in the forms that Jackie handed to us. I have seen others getting works done after the 2 year mark so there is clearly unfairness here and no redress. The maintenance team do work hard and I had a good experience, with a handful of their colleagues who spoke poorly of the company overall. They expect you to see all defects within 7 days and report them or else won’t remedy. They don’t seem to understand that people have just moved in and have things to move in and organise and just want to enjoy their purchase.
Reply to response: Isla this isn’t your fault. I have addressed this with Joanne already and they have closed the matter. It’s an easy way out - buyers, please proceed with caution.

Martin and Malcolm came and completed a couple of warranty decorative items in my
Home. They were brilliant from start to finish and did an amazing job on the stairs, skirting boards and ceiling with the decorative repairs. Brilliant job I am really pleased and two lovely guys. Special shout out to Rebecca at customer services who made it all happen and has continued to be amazing at sorting any issues I’ve had along the way

Absolutely excellent service from the team at Kingsley Manor in Harrogate. Eager to ensure I have all the information for me to make an informed decision about house type and location. Have kept in regular contact with me but without being pushy.
