They’re failing to cancel my flight and…

They’re failing to cancel my flight and refund me. I’ve been emailing them and no one is responding for the past 4 business days. I’ve submitted all requirements and there’s no phone to reach out to them. My flight is tomorrow and with their negligence, I’m engaging my lawyer

AVOID it at all costs!

I paid for a "refundable" half-marathon registration (literally it was called this way on the website) on the US soil. Applied for a US visa for this particular event and get refused. My refund was denied citing the rules where only one statement regarding visa was done at the moment of my booking: 'Exclusions (reasons for which we do not refund You): Naturalisation, visa, in-vitro fertilisation, or any other appointments'. As any linguist would confirm, this means 'if you have a visa appointment at the time of the event - scheduling conflicts: visa appointment, fertilization appointment etc. - we do not refund'. Linguistically, this exclusion does not cover a visa denial.

COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMER 'SERVICE' - DELIBERATE OBSCURATION/INCOMPETENCE - ITS A SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE

I Paid £1300 pounds for 2 flights from Brisbane to Thailand. Im 6 months pregnant and was suppose to be flying with my three year old. I began getting horrendous lower pains over a week before the flight. Some days bed ridden ! I obtained 3 seperate doctors notes deeming me UNFIT TO FLY and countless appointments as evidence. To be sent round the houses being asked rediculous questions about car hire in Thailand for example. My reasoning was 'Preganancy Complications' backed up with all relevant doctors certificates. Only to be emailed two days before the flight to say the note wasnt detailed enough. I even provided my Doctors details and with her permission she was happy for them to contact her directly. Nope, refund fully declined!!!!! One email even stated 'sorry you have misunderstood our policy... we dont just refund for any reason.' My reason was inline with their policy backed up with evidence. I am so stressed out, not well, heavily preganant and now really really skint.
This is hands down the worst company i have ever dealt with. Im actually distraught.

Blindsided by thieves 

I needed to cancel my flight/travel plans because my elderly dog had an emergency. I was scheduled to fly out on Dec. 24th and return on Jan. 7th. The round about amount of my round trip flight was over $700 as I had modified the trip by changing the dates. I submitted my documents Dec. 1st and within the same day they told me it was a foreseeable event, request denied and closed. My dog had a neurological issue that the vet said was acute and can happen to any dog of any age without warning, but apparently I should have thought something like this would happen. I understand why they are rated so low. When you add cancellation protection, it is for peace of mind because unexpected things happen to us all. This company is not interested nor cares about the customer, what they do care about is keeping your money. For some reason when you believe you are being smart by adding cancellation protection for $54.00 they have already decided that they will look for any reason not to give you a single penny back. It’s no longer your money it’s theirs from the moment you decided to trust these thrives. I haven’t seen my family for over a year and this would have been the first Christmas and New Year that I would have spent with them in over 5yrs. I had arrangements in place for my dog to be taken care of. My 15 yr dog was doing great the morning of the incident and by the end of day fell ill and by the next morning could not stand on his own. How in Gods name could this be a foreseeable event. The veterinarian didn’t say that but did tell me it was incurable. I had to tell my elderly mom that unfortunately I would not be home for the holidays but that I hoped to help cover some of her bills when I received the refund. Now, the only bills I will be helping to cover is the ones for this company. Happy holidays to them, I’m sure they will or already have enjoyed their present from me.

Extremely privacy intrusive but money refunded immediately

There's definitely a lot of room that would make this experience WAY better. My main issue is how insanely intrusive the questions were - having to submit information about my wife's pregnancy complications and reasons why she can't go after being admitted to hospital. Seriously!? Also, having to jump through waaay too many hoops with multiple page forms & uploads (particularly for information you already have about the booking) seemed intentionally deceptive to minimise how many refunds need to be issued, no doubt hoping this dark pattern just straight up makes some people give up.

Now, with all that said, credit where credit is due. From the time I clicked the "refund" link in the original email to the time the money actually appeared in our bank accounts was about 15 minutes AT MOST. That's insane. Form submitted and the money was immediately in our account INCLUDING the additional premium we paid to make the tickets refundable. That was a nice surprise too.

My feedback to the team - don't treat customers like criminals. I understand this service may be abused and that would be difficult to manage but having this pop up as the last step really makes for a hostile feeling relationship -> "Where we suspect fraud in relation to supporting documentation this matter will immediately be referred to the local police authorities. I accept and understand my details will be passed to these authorities should my application be considered fraudulent and that may become a criminal investigation."

As far as providing the service that was written on the tin ... 5/5.

As for all the UX along the way, not ideal so just want people to be aware you'll likely be submitting some pretty personal information. I can't even imagine how hard that would be in traumatic circumstances - having to answer such cold questions about loved ones just because you couldn't get to a concert. You paid the insurance, just make it a one-click seamless experience and I'll pay the premium every single gig.

So conflicted on this one obviously but see so much potential for this to be an outstanding service.

SCAM don’t trust them

Terrible refund policy, they also encourage the worst behaviour in order to stick by rules that don’t actually make sense, especially in the context of infectious disease.

There is a general lack of reasonable expectations. If you have an infectious disease which make it so that GPs don’t allow you to enter their practice, they make zero efforts to use common sense, and if you get a doctors note after your infectious disease is over they’re going to tell you that you did not give the note prior to the concert.

There’s no way a consumer will win with this set of rules and this is kind of policy is an impetus to spreading disease

This is a scam

This is a scam . I paid for refundable tickets but they actually won’t refund you even with a doctors note , they need you to specify exact onset of your illness and your diagnosis and why you can’t come which most medical certificates don’t include . They have a section questioning you about why this illness means you can’t attend which is very invalidating . When I complained they offered me a half refund which also feels off . Don’t pay for refundable tickets they’re not really refundable at all

This is SCAM!!

This is SCAM!!! My husband bought a ticket going back home for an emergency. Also included the cancellation plan just in case he might have emergency before his flight and thought would be able to refund the money. So what happened is he unable to flight back home coz he coz so sick the next day before his flight so after a day or 2 he went to the doctor and ask for medical certificate or note proof that he cannot able to fly that day because he was very sick and doesn’t have energy to go, but this scammers doesn’t want to refund the money since they said that he didn’t get physical exam on the day of his flight but how come he can go to the doctor and get examine that day if he already refuse to get up and go flight back home. They almost close his application since we don’t agree to the $600 refund that supposed to be $1900. Totally scam and so frustrating so we accept the $600 because if we don’t they will totally close the application and move on. We will still make a legal action to refund the rest of the money because its so annoying that they keep scamming more and more people.

I had to cancel the room for reasons…

I had to cancel the room for reasons beyond my control. I had scheduled an appointment to pick up a car in another region, but the day before I was informed that it wasn’t ready due to an unexpected issue at the dealership, despite having received confirmation a week earlier. I provided all the evidence of what happened, but I was not granted any refund. My advice: avoid it and save your time and money.

Scamers

My flight was delayed, and they refused to refund my money, claiming they needed the delay to last longer. They didn't care that it was an international flight, that there were long lines at immigration, or that we had to get a medical certificate to enter the country. Completely thieves and scammers.

Review update - success. Full refund approved.

This is an update to my previous review. After much back and forward, Refundable.Me have agreed to refund the FULL AMOUNT of my concert tickets. This took many emails but my advice to people who have experienced this 'no refund' approach is to keep trying. I think the level of bad reviews posted have made them re-assess their approach to applications. Good luck to all, but I will still be thinking twice before purchasing refundable tickets in the future.

Stay away!! Still waiting to get a refund for the flight.

I have to cancel my flight due to unforeseen circumstances and I requested a refund and I have not heard back from them and It is so frustrating I will not be going back to FLIGHTHUB or REFUNDABLEME if I don't get the refund. This is extremely frustrating.
