Incorrect information...Poor customer service
Provided miss information. Requested to close account. Seems like a simple request. They stated unable to close with pending transactions. This was on a Friday. Stated ok will be back on Monday. They stated these will process tonight and you will be able to return Saturday to close the account. I returned on Monday to give ample time. They stated they could not close with the pending charge. They stated they did not have any control on the when the transactions process. So why did they set the expectation to return on Saturday? Why did they tell me it would process Friday night? Provided with inaccurate information. Which was the exact reason I was closing the account since similar situations have occurred in the past. their staff in not knowledgeable in their product.

I was in a time crunch and had to get a large amount of money to my mortgage company in one day. Since it was Friday night I figured I had only one option: Bill Paying. It took me several days to get in touch Mortgage Company and find out they had not received the check, so I went to a Regions Bank. I got help from a very nice young lady. After about 10-15 minutes of typing away on her computer and getting help from another employee, she said they never sent the check because of an error in the IP address. This made no sense it wasn’t being sent electronically. When I asked why they hadn’t notified me, she said she didn’t know. This was a lot of money to me and they left me hanging for almost a week. How Regions can stop a Bill Paying check and not notify me is very troubling. So long Regions Bank.

Please do not use any of their financial advisors! Do not throw -away your hard earned money. I was misguided, misinformed, and definitely mislead! I met someone who fortunately made me money! He went with me and the Regions financial advisor couldn't even answer his questions.
No tech support at all
No tech support at all. The people you can talk to are totally useless beyond resetting passwords. When they figure out they can't fix a problem, they have no real technicians they can get on the line to help. All they can do is make a ticket which someone might look at in 4 or 5 days. On the plus side the people in the branch are nice.
Should wear a ski mask during transactions
I owed zero balance on my heloc, never used it for three years. Paid my house off and bought my own insurance. Regions went behind my back, and charged me $2300 for flood insurance. I could understand if I owed a balance but the property alone is worth more than$35000... so what were they protecting. It was just a reason for them to charge my card and make money. You have to authorize your wife to use your card, but Regions can steal all day. Kicker is, home insurance for everything through my agent is $3000... so why was flood $2300.... because Regions owns the insurance company.
Regions Bank credit card scam
I paid my Regions credit card bill with the Regions online checking function and they admit to mailing the check on Feb 26 to the Regions Credit Card facility. On Mar 1, the check posted. On March 12th, the credit card department said they never received payment and charged a late fee. They refuse to remove the fee saying they're not responsible for lost mail.
Waste of time!
Will not bank with Regions again! My Regions account is essentially me having to have ten transactions per cycle & I shouldn’t be charged. Still somehow I’m being charged a monthly fee each month. Lastly, to top it off I called support today to get some clarity & the representative was rude AF!
Horrible! Banking with Regions 20 years
Banking with Regions 20 years, I will be withdrawaling every penny and closing every account as soon as possible. Horrible service, unnecessary holds on deposits. Waiting an hour to see a manager to have a ridiculous hold released when I should be at work. This is costing me and my business money and it's not the first time. This was a deposit of three separate checks from different customers on one slip, none over the typical hold amount. No excuse for this from them.
What a HORRIBABLE bank
What a HORRIBABLE bank. Only recently the bank started putting 10 day HOLDS on every deposit. When I knew a banker that worked there, she would release it after 3 days because the funds had cleared. However, after she left, I was always having all my funds held even though they had already cleared. Unless you personally knew someone who would give you access to your money sitting in your account with a nonsensical hold so that Regions can invest your money and make money on your money that you are not permitted to use for 10 days, regardless of whether the funds cleared or not. I spoke with a banker and asked him to release the funds and he lied to me saying this is the way it is done at all banks, even acknowledging that the funds had cleared but for the Regions 10-day hold. I have opened a new account at another bank and I will never permit any of my clients to use Regions in any type of transaction with my business. Stay away from this bank at all costs. They even admit that they are holding your money after is clears with the Notice they email you: "If you did not receive a written hold notice at the time you made the deposit, and the check you deposited is paid, we will refund to you any fees for overdrafts or returned checks that result solely from the additional delay that we are imposing."

This powerful institution is enslaving and... They close the account without any reason, the height of insolence and sarcasm, and they do not care about people's interests. A bank as bad as those who founded it. I advise anyone not to open an account in this bank or deal with it.
Worst experience with deposit through…
Worst experience with deposit through ATM I’ve ever had.
Horrible bank
Horrible bank. I opened online, copied and pasted code for promotion $300. They denied to pay just simply they didn’t see it. Called and spent hours with them, even went 80 miles to speak to the branch, they just “looked at the system and said “no”. They had promotion for the whole year. They just didn’t want to pay. What the hell?
They are the worst bank I’ve ever had…
They are the worst bank I’ve ever had the displeasure of being a part of. They won’t accept payment from other banks( online,in person, or over the phone) they bounced 8 payments on my credit card me knowing damn well I at least had the minimum payment and then proceeded to tell me I wouldn’t have this issue if I transferred my current debit card to theirs(oh yeah because I would love to have double the.. Trouble F*UCK that). Long story short if you sign up with them after reading this you’re a moron and I mean that disrespectfully.
Fraud
Fraud! Don’t get mortgages with Regions. They took over $10000 in closing costs for construction loan, but when it came to use that loan they sent me a letter stating they’re canceling my loan and didn’t pay a cent back! All I got was a letter that my loan is canceled.
Missed Property Tax Payment
I have an escrow account with my Regions mortgage. Regions servicing did not pay one of my property tax bills on time, and I was assessed a late fee. Regions refused to cover the late fee.
Regions said it follows the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA). RESPA section 1024.34 states, "the servicer shall make payments from the escrow account...to avoid a penalty." When I pointed this text out to Regions, Regions refused to share legal or regulatory text allowing the servicer to not make property tax payments by the taxing authority's deadline.
Zero Communication Bank
Zero Communication Bank! You call the number over and over but never get a person on the phone. When I finally did get a person i asked for an email address so that i could communicate that way. Oh we don't have email addresses, but you can send us stuff in the mail? Shall I bring it to you in my horse and buggy? What generation are you all in. I hate that my mortgage is with you all.

These morons send an application for a credit card to me. Their automated system does not work. The promo code they give me was invalid. When I got a human to talk to they tell me that my application was denied.
I have a 750 FICO rating and they declined ME?
Don't waste your time filling out the application.
I should have checked Trust Pilot before wasting my time. It is no wonder Regions has a 1 star rate.
Regions bank are liars they said they…
Regions bank are liars they said they mailed my card and I still havent received it its been 8 days then the other card I had they canceled it like seriously and I didnt even know this is totally wrong I cant even get or use my money. My money my account my id is expired I cant even get my money it just expired on my birthday November 27th this bank is the worst cant even pay my bills I think Ima take my business elsewhere.
Don't use them they're stealing people's money
So last month November 28th I deposited a check for $4,500 something dollars $4,557 to be correct so the branch put a hold on it as they normally do so I get an email stating that my funds would not be available until December 7th well guess what my funds are still not available I called the regions corporate office they told me that the branch had them still had a hold on it so I take myself to the bank the branch tells me that the fraud department has a hold on it so I go back home and I call Regions and I asked to speak with the fraud department fraud department tells me that the branch has a hold on it a branch hold now taking the mind I'm being evicted from my place of residence now because they want to keep playing around with my money I don't trust Banks this is the very reason I don't so just the other day Saturday which was what the 30th I went back in there told them what the fraud department told me that the fraud department has a hold on it so I got online today just to chat with somebody and the people that I was chatting with tell me that the branch has a hold on it but yet they're still taking money out of my account for their maintenance fees they're losers their pieces I can't say what I want to say but y'all know what I mean if you're smart don't use regions I'm fixing to put a lawsuit against them now
