Nothing compares. It's that good!
As a DJ who mainly streams with Denon media players but also does a few live sets on Pioneer each year, I can highly recommend Lexicon for conversion. Lexicon is also unbeatably fast and reliable when it comes to renaming and tidying up genres and various tags. I also use Lexicon DJ to create my playlists according to harmonic structures. It's a great no nonsense tool.
You need to try this program.....
Once I found out about this program, I thought I will just pay for a month to see what it's like and then ill cancel but going by what I have seen, I think I will be keeping this as an ongoing subscription. lots of menus but not overwhelming and easy to navigate around. As with any new program, I'd suggest to watch a few tutorials on YouTube and you can't go wrong. great program and highly recommended
Lexicon is genuinely easy to use
Lexicon is genuinely easy to use. From the first launch, the layout makes sense and the workflow feels logical, not cluttered or overcomplicated. Importing libraries, cleaning up tags, fixing duplicates, and syncing back to DJ software is straightforward and fast. You don’t need to spend hours watching tutorials just to get results — it’s intuitive enough to jump straight in and start improving your library.
Before Lexicon, my music library was in absolute shambles. Now it looks like it should be residing in the Vatican Library — organised, structured, and exactly where everything belongs. The ability to apply a consistent renaming convention to original file names is a complete game changer, especially when you care about long-term library health and compatibility across platforms.
Updating metadata has also been a breeze. What used to be a painful, time-consuming process is now quick and almost effortless. For DJs who want their library clean, professional, and future-proofed without drowning in complexity, Lexicon delivers exactly what it promises.
It made my life as a DJ so much easier
It made my life as a DJ so much easier. You can go simple or go quite extensive with much customisation options and algorithms to make library management easier
overall my experience with lexicon is…
overall my experience with lexicon is great it makes my music library super organized and i use it in my every day workflow
This feels professional and well…
This feels professional and well thought out.
From the moment i added my 55.000+ collection of files i was enjoying it. Such a vast amount of tools to tidy up my files like remove artist name from title, remove disc number from title, fix genre is anothe HUGE one. I dare to look at the genre it collected and OMG what i mess it's become over the years: r and b, R&B, r&b or "Voc solo pop" and "Teddy Cream" ?? I mean what the... :-). This program instantly gave me the confidence that i'm gonna finally clean my library.
Open format dj, on macOS, currently with Djay Pro.
As the Djay Pro sync function of Lexicon is still in beta, i'm just using it via finder/folder and tell Lexicon to right tags to files.
What I really like is the energy…
What I really like is the energy computatin, and the sync with rekordbox future for this, on top of this the "hidden future", for mixable tracks is very valuable
Back to Lexicon DJ
I had use lexicon DJ a year or 2 back and literally organized my music library and it was a blessing I literally had an almost perfect library now, I did have a problem with cue points so I delete the software how I heard it was fixed so I downloaded it back its even better now A+
The best tool I’ve used for organising my records.
The learning curve for Lexicon was relatively easy once I got the hang of it. Lexicon has allowed me to regain control of my record collection. After a major mishap with Rekordbox, my entire collection was disorganised. I returned to Traktor, a software I have used for a long time, and Lexicon helped me rebuild my record collection in both Traktor and the Mac Finder. Once you become familiar with it, Lexicon is the best tool I’ve used for organising my records.
a fantastic piece of software
a fantastic piece of software, nothing else comes close to its usability and features.
By far the most reliable solution for your music collection organisation.
By far the most reliable solution that gives Dj's using the various options to play and curate their sets with, a one size fits all solution to curate your music in the most convenient way that I have seen over the course of my 10+ years experience since the first steps of storing music without the use of cd's. Of course, rekordbox is for instance good standard being the library organizing application, developing to the 2 in one software for organizing and playing sets with your pioneer midi controller products, however it would be very inconvenient for dj's to be able to switch to the Engine (os) DJ systems that is the Standard Denon solution as the biggest market competitor behind pioneer dominating the DJ equipment used globally. Lexicon is overall very user friendly, with a minimalistic user interface compared to the other applications I have been struggeling with in the past 10+ years, mostly because the whole new way of organizing tracks en revolutionizing the way dj's interact with their music library, with speed and accuracy that was never possible before. This has been a challenge for Dj's as well as the DJ equipment brands that had to figure out new ways to navigate the steps from cd's up to the streaming developments that we have integrated in our professional as wel as private music collection / selection experience. Lexicon appears to me the perfect bridge to all the different systems making it possible to work from a universal applicable music organizing system that makes it childsplay to convert your tracks organisation to your DJ equipment + the related system that is nowadays more important then the quality of the hardware using these operating systems to function at all. Denon totally messed up engine os, using a useless library software, and even more rediculous operating system that was getting worse after each marketing/branding update, totally wasting their state of art hardware. Lexicon is my solution to take away the stress of mall functioning organizing and operating system of OS Engine.
thanks for the lifetime option
Pretty full-featured app and i like that they offer a lifetime ownership path. Could be a little easier to import tracks and have it auto-watch a folder.
amazing software
amazing software. Started with essential but going to upgrade. 100% reccomend to any working DJ
Lexicon actually works.
The software is great. The interface is modern and responsive. It deals with a huge amount of metadata for track syncing and has a ton of options for getting things just right.
My library is 10,000 tracks and I had no end of trouble with Engine Prime Desktop Software: broken tracks, poor beatgrids, and a complete inability to synchronize cue points with external software like Mixed in Key. I tried using Rekordbox instead but to be honest it was even worse.
Lexicon is the missing link to manage all my files and get them onto my device. I still use Mixed in Key for the key and energy (it is better than Lexicon at this) but Lexicon can handle most files by itself and is always getting better. Its also really good at being clear when it is doing an analysis task and exactly what it is working on and how long it takes.
Mind Blown
Having collected thousands of songs in many genres I have struggled to organise my music and have it in a format that would suit my needs.
Out of the blue I stumbled across a youtube video on Lexicon DJ software,
Mind blown, I was originally sceptical that it would provide the tools that I needed however after utilising most of it's utilities I am over the moon with it's performance and has put a smile on my face where once I grimaced at the thought of tidying up my music.
Title: Great bit of software for sorting your DJ library ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve been using Lexicon DJ on and off for about two years and it’s been brilliant for keeping my music tidy. The duplicate finder is the best part — it actually matches the audio, not just filenames, so it finds real doubles even across different file types.then once all exact audio matches are found it then lists possible matches based on nemes etc.
It’s easy to clean up your tracks, fix tags, and then send everything over to Rekordbox or Serato without losing cues or playlists. Takes a bit to get used to, but once you do, it saves loads of time. Definitely worth it if you’ve got a big messy library.
