This is the biggest scam of a company

This is the biggest scam of a company! They installed an HVAC unit and less than two months later in the winter time with me having a 17month old baby it flooded my attic. They have never routed to service the unit and expect a payment! I will never deal with this company again and looking at all the other reviews, I am not the only person

Disrespected by Reliable Heating and Air technician

So, Reliable Heating and Air asked me to call them in regards to my matter, only to be told by their customer service department can't be reached.
I have filed a lawsuit against them. These people don't respect your private intimate space or the inconvenience that they put you in. This whole situation with their technician standing in my bed with contaminated boots on, cause me to have to sleep on my sofa with prosthetic hips.

BEWARE OF LEASING CONTRACT

I thought everything was going well until I started asking questions about my bill!!! ON 10/5/2021 Rodney came to talk about replacing old unit from another company. He was smooth, talked personal stuff gained my trust and to get to the point on my contract It stated leasing but he told me I would own my unite after payments, not to worry. As I was thinking it was time that it should be paid off so looked closely and I was to pay $6,600 for unit when I signed and on contract I will be paying over $10,000 and I will not even own the unit. I am a senior citizen and too trusting it seems. He LIED when I asked certain basic important questions and failed to mention the sham job. I will get an attorney to fight this. DONT SIGN CONTRACT IT IS TO LEASE AND NEVER OWN YOUR SYSTEM AND YOU WILL PAY DOUBLE WHAT IT IS WORTH. PLEASE LIST YOUR COMPAINTS ABOUT CONTRACT.

Hi Linda,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are truly sorry to hear that you feel this way about your experience. That is never the impression we want to leave, especially when it comes to something as important as your home comfort.

We want to be very clear that our Comfort as a Service program is designed to be transparent and flexible, and we never want anyone to feel misled. The program is different from a traditional purchase. It includes ongoing service, maintenance, and repairs for the life of the agreement, which is why the total investment differs from an upfront purchase option. That said, we understand how this can be confusing, and it is our responsibility to make sure everything is clearly explained.

We would really appreciate the opportunity to review your agreement with you, answer any questions, and make sure you fully understand your options. If anything was not communicated clearly at the time, we want to address that directly.

We take concerns like this seriously and we will be reaching out to address your concerns.

Thank you,

BE VERY CAUTIOUS OF THIS COMPANY

I signed up for a “lease” with realible heating/air about 3 months ago, and it has been practically a nightmare with them. First day of installation they spent over 6 hours and still didn’t complete the installation stating the unit needed a new part. Returned next day and got it to work but stated it needed interferon. They never returned. 2 weeks ago, the heat wouldn’t turn on. It was blowing cold air. Again technician said it needs a new part that he has to order. So am waiting on that.
QUESTIONS? Is this a new unit or refurbished unit? (My 12 year unit was more dependable
than this supposedly new one). Is this going to be the expected service the next few years?

Please, read all the reviews and be cautious

Hi Darlin,

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration this has caused. This is not the level of installation or follow-up service we expect, especially with a new system.

We understand your concerns regarding reliability and whether the equipment is new. To clarify, the systems we install are new equipment, not refurbished. That said, needing multiple follow-ups and waiting on parts is not the experience we want for you.

We do have your information and will be reaching out to you directly to review what’s happened, provide an update on the part needed, and ensure everything is resolved as quickly as possible.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to make this right.

Monthly Service Contract SCAM

When my AC failed on July 21 the Reliable tech sold me a monthly maintenance plan and told me to call back after August 21 to schedule the monthly service. I did so today, and the customer service rep said there are no available maintenance appointments through the rest of 2025. When asked what I could do since I'm being charged $14.99 per month to have a monthly service, she had no answer, and there was no supervisor available to talk to me. There was also no other phone number to call to speak with anyone about scheduling the service or canceling the contract Reliable cannot fulfill. This sounds like a SCAM. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company.

Hi Bonnie,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry for the frustration this has caused and for the confusion around scheduling.

Our Comfort Protection Plan is a regulated program in the state of Georgia, and we are fully bonded to offer it. It is designed to provide ongoing maintenance, priority service, and long-term system care. It is not intended to be a month-to-month service visit, but rather scheduled maintenance throughout the year.

That said, you should absolutely be able to get your maintenance scheduled, and being told there are no available appointments is not the experience we want for you. Summer is our highest demand season, which can impact maintenance availability, but we still work to ensure all members are taken care of.

We would like the opportunity to review your account, get your maintenance scheduled, and address your concerns directly. Please contact our Customer Care team at customercare@reliableair.com
or call 770-594-9969 and ask for Customer Care so we can assist you right away.

We stand behind this program and appreciate the chance to make this right.

Thank you,

UN-RELIABLE!

UN-RELIABLE!
This company has become UN-Reliable! We have been loyal customers for several years but we are DONE!
Back in early March, I had made an online appointment through Reliable’s website for April 2nd, our yearly inspection on the system we purchased from them in 2020. I later was contacted that there was a glitch in their system and they didn’t actually HAVE availability until July 30th. We received an email confirmation and a text reminder from Reliable of said appointment. By 8:30pm, July 30th, our tech was a NO SHOW with no call from Reliable. When I called Reliable, I was told they showed our appointment for Friday, August 1st, and that it must have been changed. NO ONE from Reliable had contacted us of any change! Friday, August 1st and NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER! Another NO SHOW!
Our loyalty to a once good company has been eroded. Their customer service is a joke so goodbye Reliable Heating and Air and on to a company with higher standards worth doing business with.

We sincerely apologize for the scheduling issues, the system error, and the lack of follow-up. You should have been clearly notified of any changes, and we regret that this did not happen.

Reliable Heating and Air is a dishonest…

Reliable Heating and Air is a dishonest company that does not stand behind their work.

Reliable Heating and Air put in a unit and the ductwork needed for the unit 6 months ago. We were told that their installation was not correct, so we called Reliable, and a Reliable installer came out and said that, yes, the installation was done incorrectly.

Reliable has a 1-year warranty, so the work is still under warranty. However, they refuse to fix the ductwork. They have stated that the employees that installed the ductwork no longer work there, which is irrelevant, and they refuse to fix it.

Reliable Heating and Air cannot be trusted.

They sell warranties but can't commit...

They cancelled my appointment the day before, saying all maintenance requests would be handled in August (automated call). I called back two weeks later to schedule - they told me it would be September before they could handle any maintenance calls. If they can't handle maintenance, then they should not sell warranties.

Hi Donna,

We’re very sorry for the frustration this has caused. Having your appointment canceled and then pushed out again is not the experience we want for you.

During peak summer demand, we do prioritize no-cool and urgent service calls, which can impact maintenance scheduling. That said, you should still be able to schedule your maintenance within a reasonable timeframe, and we understand your concern.

Our maintenance plans are designed to provide ongoing care, priority service, and long-term system performance, not just a single visit. We stand behind those programs, but we also need to ensure we’re delivering on expectations.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to identify your account from this review, so please contact our Customer Care team at customercare@reliableair.com or call 770-594-9969 and ask for Customer Care. We’d like to review your account and get your maintenance scheduled as soon as possible.

Reliable has gone downhill FAST

It seems that the customer service and quality of this company has deteriorated. First nobody ever called back when I scheduled service on-line. I had to rescheduled a yearly check-up maintenance on my A/C. They sent a tech out and now my A/C is not working and it's tripping the breaker in my electric box. What happened to Reliable? Did they sell the company or change maintenance procedures. Something is definitely off and fishy about what happened.

Their technicians are expert at what they do. Ryan, electrical Technician, and Mike Prater, Advisor are excellent!! They both always exceed my expectations with installations. Both Mike and Rayn explain everything prior to beginning the job and discuss costs up front. They answer myt questions honestly and offer money saving advice. They respond quickly if I have a question after job completion. Reliable Heating and Air is an honest company with expert staff. I trust them completely with my plumbing and electrical needs!

Reliable is Not Reliable

Company has had a glitch and sent the worst email ever to their loyal customers. If you are automatically deducting payments from your customers and you have an error, you should take responsibilty and address your customers with reasonable resolution. This was handled poorly and you cannot reach or rely on customer service or accounting. Stay away!! I would not recommend RELIABLE HEATING AND AIR! You will lose many reliable customers due to your negligence and lack of empathy.

Reliably Hog Tied

I can offer 1 Star for the very personable nature of the technician who came out, but that's where the stars disappear.

I can not speak to his technical skill bc he only put a meter on 2 wires (which I'd already done to verify amperage/voltage) on the outside of the unit. The unit was never accessed, however it was determined that the unit had a bad condenser which conveniently isn't covered under the service contract which I purchased to test how they handle service work and customer service related issues.

This, to determine whether it be worth spending 20k+ with them on a new A/C & furnace/heat pump system as well as a new water heating system for the house. This was not revealed.

They did however, make it very clear they're well versed in pivoting the conversation away from a service call and into an in-home sales call. Now I can understand why they sent the "very personable technician".

Side note, had someone else look at the unit, turns out the control board is acting up...not the condenser...go figure.

This looks to be the bait and switch system they've created through their "service contracts". These are also very much as empty as those car repair insurance rackets.

Now for weeks they've been ignoring my online and phone requests for cancelling the service before billing cycles (and now refunds). Hard to believe they'd be this brazen or incompetent over $20/mo.

I would not want to know what the experience is like being tied into one of their big ticket item situations...hog tied.

Re...LIE...able? Do not trust this company!

Reliable does not honor their commitments.

I made appointments online, confirmed them over the phone, and received confirmatory texts stating that a technician was scheduled. Four times Reliable confirmed the appointments and four times Reliable did not show up. When I called them back, all they had were excuses. They never showed up. We called someone else who showed up exactly when promised. That business model is unknown to Reliable, unfortunately.

If you have an important repair that needs attention, you and your family deserve better than this company.
