Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience — poor advice, no progress, and unfair refund policy
We engaged Reliance Consulting (Thailand) to assist with setting up a Thai company and to provide guidance around securing a .th domain for our brand.
From the beginning, we were clear about our intentions and advised that we would be travelling to Thailand and wanted to meet in person. We booked accommodation in Bangkok and made plans around the engagement moving forward.
Unfortunately, after payment was made, the experience stalled completely. No substantive work was carried out — no filings, no formal steps taken, and no meaningful deliverables provided. Communication became slow, and the in-person meeting we had planned never eventuated.
What was most disappointing was discovering later that a key piece of information was not disclosed upfront: that a Thai company may not even be necessary to obtain a .th domain if you already have a registered trademark. Had this been properly explained at the start, we would not have proceeded in the same way.
When we requested a refund due to the lack of progress, the company insisted on retaining 20% as an “administrative fee,” despite the engagement never reaching any execution stage.
Overall, this was a frustrating and costly experience that resulted in wasted time, unnecessary travel, and a lack of transparent professional guidance. I would recommend extreme caution before paying upfront.
