The end of my relationship with Renault Valckenier Brussels
My first experience with Renault Zaventem was good. My car was serviced whilst under warranty, in a timely manner and I was given a courtesy car for the duration of the service. But on the next occasion, I called in an appointment and spoke to a pleasant woman on the phone (who offered me a courtesy electric car). The call was recorded, and although I got a courtesy car it was not electric. This was a little disappointing as I was hoping to have an electric car experience, as we are going to get a 2nd (electric) car soon. A day later, my car was ready, so I went to retrieve it and return the courtesy car but they wouldn't process the return 20 mins before closing time, so I had to return the following day but due to traffic I arrived 20 mins before closing again and they wouldn't process the return. so, on the 3rd day I took time off work to return the courtesy car and all was fine until I received a bill for 3 days of rental.
Several email exchanges later, they continue to ignore the facts which were:
1. I was offered a courtesy car, not a rental car. (Refusing to review the recordings)
2. I tried to return it a day later, and again the following day but they don't serve customers 20 mins before they close, so the customer gets billed for their poor service.
Ultimately, I got frustrated with these email exchanges and paid the bill, but reserved the right to express my experience with Renault Valckenier Zaventem on this and other review platforms, as well as taking my business elsewhere. This of course means that when we go electric (in the coming month), I cannot consider the Megane E-Tech anymore, as I do not want to deal with Renault Valckenier Zaventem and the next Renault dealer in Drogenbos is unfortunately, just to inconvenient for me. So, I guess I have to look into the Hyundai Iconiq...
