Life time warranty is not life time
Renewal by Andersen states they have a life time warranty. Sounds good but that's not exactly the case. Their lifetime warranty is only 10 years for parts per the Denver person we spoke with. Our windows won't close completely because of worn out cranks and because the windows are older then 10 years they stated it was a billable repair and not warranted. Be sure you understand their warranty should you choose to do business with them

The crew came out and were excellent they were polite knew what they were doing and did their job I was very impressed by their knowledge of what they were doing and making sure that everything was done right. I was very impressed by their workmanship.. I would recommend them
We had a new door installed
We had a new door installed. The Renewal by Anderson team was great. Abbes (the Team leader),Andrew and Thomas were all very professional and completed the job the same day. We are so excited with our new door. We can now go through the front instead of the side garage door. It feels like a real home now. Also perfect timing that the door was installed right before the second snow storm arrived in Dutchess County area. This family is 100% happy!
Kind regards,
The Munson Family
Be very careful
Be very careful dealing with this company. Their sales practices are extremely aggressive, and the pricing is completely out of market range. The offers are structured in a way that assumes customers won’t fully understand the true value of the product.
While their representatives may appear professional and courteous, the overall approach is misleading and does not reflect a fair or transparent transaction. I strongly do not recommend proceeding without thorough research and caution.
Cancellation of Front Door - Are elderly being taken advantage of?
My parents, who are 84 and 85 years old, signed a contract for a front door with sidelights and a storm door totaling over $18,000 — even after a veteran discount was applied. Within one to two weeks of signing, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer that has metastasized to his brain and throughout his body. His time is very limited.
Because of this devastating diagnosis, I contacted Renewal by Andersen to cancel the order so my parents could preserve their savings for medical treatment, funeral expenses, and the many unexpected costs that arise during end-of-life care. Although the representatives I spoke with were polite, the company has refused to waive a $4,273 cancellation fee and is insisting on payment.
In addition, the overall price of more than $18,000 for a front door package raises serious concerns for our family. When elderly homeowners agree to projects of this size, especially at prices that appear significantly higher than what many would expect, it is hard not to question whether seniors are being placed in financially vulnerable positions. At a minimum, it leaves the appearance that elderly customers may not be receiving the same protections or pricing considerations others might expect.
My 85-year-old mother cannot afford to pay $4,273 in cash, particularly while preparing for her husband’s passing. We understand contracts contain cancellation terms, but extraordinary medical circumstances call for compassion and reasonable discretion.
Instead of focusing on spending precious time together as a family, we are forced to deal with a substantial financial demand during one of the most painful periods of our lives. That is deeply disappointing.
Great experience
Great experience. Almost every review on here is for Andersen, and not Renewal by Andersen. Renewal doesn’t even make a vinyl plastic window these people are whining about?
Bought and had installed. Great experience
Buyer beware
Buyer beware. Would not recommend. no character to the windows they look very industrial flat, thick and plain. The TV commercial is very miss leading. the crew rushed through the installation. I have not seen such poor workman ship in 30 years of being in or around the construction field. To start they removed the wrong window and had to put it back after I told them that they removed the wrong window. The crew had to redo the metal trim because it was not what was agreed a pond at time of purchase. told the crew it was not correct before it was install but was told that is how they do the trim and have never done it with the brick mold effect. I had to contact the manager to have it corrected. the workmen ship is not good at all, the trim does not go under the siding, they hide their mistakes or lack of knowledge with a lot of caulks, what a mess. might last 2 years, (time the installation is guaranteed) The special ordered door they installed did not come with the brick mold outside trim, o the put-up metal trim, nothing but foam behind it, good place for bees and bugs to nest, couldn't match the width of the existing trim because they would have had to cut the siding. Gap top of door uneven, Board sticking out from under the door. long enough I could go on and on.
Note, after this review I was contacted and Gary sent a different crew to correct all the issues and corrected the poor workmanship from the 1st crew. should not had to go thru this in the first place.
Thank You Ryan Stovall for Great Customer Service
We wanted to get a new slider for our back deck. Well after expanding our dining room and adding a new deck and roof expansion for the deck there was a post installed too close to the slider. Ryan Stovall went above and far beyond trying to make it work for us. Made several trips out taking measurements referring with colleagues, but to no avail. Even though it did not work out, we were very impressed with Ryan. Thanks for the great customer service Ryan!
Shady and slimy business tactics
Oh where to begin.... Um let's start with the quote. We were looking at getting 14 windows and a French door replaced. I've heard renewal by Anderson was expensive but was absolutely appalled by the quote $127,000. Yes you read that correctly. 1/3rd the cost of the house. After being displeased with the original quote the sales rep went on to offer discounts bringing the quote to somewhere mid $90k still absolutely laughable. A simple search shows they've been in multiple class action law suits with false advertising, inflating prices and offer these "limited" discounts to pressure the buyers into making a split second decision when in reality the "discount" never actually disappears. Definitely shady business tactics and they will absolutely not be getting any money from us. These are used "car salesman" to the absolute worst extreme.
Inside of the Window is soooo ugly and plasit looking
The experience was fine. Installation seemed professional. Yet worst decision for our house that we have made. We are sick about it. We have an historic home and the inside of the vinyl windows look cheap and crappy. We have ordered special wood paint to try and make it look like wood instead of really crappy plastic. The hardward looks like cheap bathroom hardware. I guess we will now have to spend 2000 dollars to get the brass hardware. Our wonderful deep window sills are now gone. WE ARE SICK... JUST KEEP YOUR OLD WINDOWS!!!!...You will never get your money back in electricity savings to make it worth ugly vinyl!
First Rate sales & service reps - Excellent Quality products!
Shawn Flaherty, our sales rep, handled our business very professionally and efficiently. Our high quality doors & screen doors were delivered and installed within the expected timelines. Cody Lyons & Doug, our installment techs were first-rate! Would highly recommend Renewal by Anderson.
Nobody answers the phones in any…
Nobody answers the phones in any department but the ones designed to sell you something. They don't even answer for their own employees trying to call on your behalf.
"Billing department" just has a recording saying they are unavailable during the middle of a weekday when they are supposed to have hours 7am-10pm, or 10am-6pm depending on who you ask but neither matters because apparently they are just permanently closed.
Jonathan and staff did a great job …
Jonathan and staff did a great job of installing my patio door. I watched meticulous fitting during the install & was impressed all parts come together and looks great.
Get A Clue !
People, Get a clue! Of coarse these windows are expensive. Andersen advertises CONSTANTLY on t,v,. That is why their windows are unbelievably expensive. It costs a ton of money to advertise.
I too receive email after email from all kinds of crazy addresses trying to sell me on this terrible company and their windows. I block every one of them but, no use
bad quality
ADMIT OUR WINDOWS ARE CHEAP
Loyal Anderson customers. Bought their vinyl double pane windows and sliding doors for our entire house years ago because they were touted by Anderson as "top of the line"
Now Anderson's latest commercials have a lady literally slamming vinyl windows as "cheap". Nice job.
By the way we have had multiple issues with their windows and sliders -window glass discolored and leak both air and noise, window cranks broken or very difficult to open, vinyl discolored,
Sliders very heavy and difficult to slide.

When I pay 60,000.00 dollars for windows, I expected wire screens, THEY PUT ON PLASTIC, SO I HAD TO CALL THEM,( ANDERSON), AND THEY SAID, YES GRASSHOPPERS THEY ARE PESKY, AND THEY WILL EAT YOUR SCREENS. SO, I ASKED THEM TO GIVE ME METAL SCREENS, GET THIS PEOPLE, THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR 1700.00.
I GOT PLASTIC AND I NEED TO HAVE THIS PLASTIC SHIT GONE!!! I HAVE MY OWN METAL . JERKS!!!!
Install was poor and too expensive
We put in Anderson Windows about 2 years ago. They were expensive. We went with Provia Windows just recently. We had the siding replaced as well where the Anderson windows were put in. The installer asked who put in our windows and I told him. He said I don't usually say anything, but whoever put those windows in did a poor job. I showed him how the trim was put on and there were significant gaps at the joints. After seeing what our other installer put in, we then knew what a poor job of installation Renewal by Anderson did. I recently painted one of the rooms with the Renewal by Anderson Window in it. I took the trim off and discovered there was no insulation or foam around the window and it was letting in significant cold air. I then put the trim on like it was supposed to. I was a little sick to my stomach knowing how much we paid for the Renewal by Anderson windows compared to the Provia and how poorly they were put in. Do I think the Renewal by Anderson windows are good windows? I think they are, but the install sucked. I still have 3 windows to take the trim off and fix what should have been done correctly to begin with. Would not buy again.
This Andersen conpany $52K vs other companies $15k same project…
This Andersen conpany was the fourth one we called, so i had the estimated from the others, the salesman was very respectful, we had a long presnetation about their Andersen product, at the end he gave the total cost: $52k for 12 standsrd windows!!!
Fortunately i had the estimate from their competitors. Long short story, we called one of the companies and they replace all those 12 windows for $15K and the result was very good, above our expectations. Can you believe it? $52k vs $15K? Crazy. Pleaee when you yhink in a window replacement project please call 5 different companies at least, its your money, not theirs!!
Super overpriced
Initially I filled out a form online to get a quote for a door with renewal by anderson. At first they told me they didnt service my area so I wrote them off. Then a couple months later I got completely spam called by them. 4-5 calls a day, finally answered got them to come give me a quote (they now service my area they said) told me to set aside 90 minutes for the quote. Which I thought was a long time for a single patio door.
The salesman came, he was pretty knowledgeable and polite and not real pushy but the quote I got, for 1 door was over $32,000. Need less to say I wont be going that route. Omg reason in giving a 2 star instead of 1 is because the salesman was respectful and not too pushy. Absolutely outrageous pricing, local hardware store is under $2000 for similar door.
