Josh G and Andrew G were very professional from start to finish.
As Far as the product A-1 quality. It does take some time to get the product but well worth waiting for!
Couldnt even get through the bid process
Im not certain how their windows perform because I couldnt get through the sales process. They will only give you numbers in person and try strong arm tactics to make you sign up immediately so you can't have a fair and quality bid process to get the best product for the money. There is generally a good reason when a company is afraid of a fair bid process. If I cant get through a pricing process I cant imagine what it would be like if any problems came up.
Customer service is horrible
Customer service is horrible. One must go through central call center located in MN and leave name and number so someone will call you back--but they don't. Proprietary hardware, so that if something breaks or wears out, must go through Renewal by Anderson and their service techs to do replacement. Must pay up front for service call and part--even though it might take 6 weeks for them to get the part--and the service call is extremely expensive. Thus, using your money for free. The Renewal by Andersen of today is nothing like it was 10 yrs. ago.

the patio door I had installed at a cost of $10,000.00 is leaking more rain than the builder grade crape they took out. Was to have a service call today and it was a no show and no notice they would not be able to make the appointment. There is no flashing over the top of the door and I believe it is not sitting on the plate as the rain is running under the threshold onto the wood floor. Do not get a renew by anderson in the Atlanta area if you are smarter than I.
This 5-star review is for Mr. James French of Renewal by Andersen Tampa Office
This 5-star review is for Mr. James French only.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. James French, “Experienced Manager” from Renewal by Andersen’s Tampa Office, who arrived at my home June 25, 2025, to complete the final write-off of two ornamental hurricane windows that dragged out over a year trying to complete the scroll framework that was either manufactured incorrectly, missing parts or both.
Mr. French listened to my stressful experience with heartfelt concern and sympathy. I related that I, a senior woman of 81 years of age, with serious health issues, living alone, had to repeatedly move large wall hangings and heavy furniture back-and-forth multiple times for months that stretched into over a year, to provide easy access to windows for scheduled installations that were either cancelled for lack of materials or unable to be installed due to incorrect manufactured sizes, missing parts, lost, etc., causing me prolonged physical and mental distress.
I explained that the first crew, unbeknown to me, tore my expensive ornamental customed-made polyester honeycomb sunblocked shade when removing to install the large arched hurricane window, and that I was given as compensation, after much resistance, $200.00 for a shade that cost over $700.00.
Mr. French genuinely apologized for my negative experience and assured me that he would do everything possible to help me be fully compensated to purchase a new shade. True to his word, he called me the next morning with the good news: full compensation was approved.
Renewal by Andersen Tampa Office is extremely fortunate to have Mr. James French as their liaison representative between Company and Customer, bringing immeasurable value to both.
Gratefully yours,
Valerie Khamis
Absolutely the most horrible company to…
Absolutely the most horrible company to deal with. Signed an agreement in April of 2024 and had 2 main doors with storm doors installed in June of 2024. (My house is 25yrs old and only decided to upgrade for something nicer) What an absolute nightmare to come home to. Trim looked like it was cut with a sawzall, storm doors installed binding, screw missing in main door hinge, installed crooked and the list goes on. It was so horrible they came out and said it’s going to be a redo. They came back out and removed my front door and storm doors installed, reinstalled the front, supposedly fixed the side door and had no storm doors for quite some time. They come back, install storm doors and bottom screen mechanism is broken on both. Then on a heavy rain water was leaking pretty bad between the storm door and house. They come back AGAIN at 1 year later and have to remove storm doors installed because it’s coming apart and hanging. Also had to straighten the main door because it wasn’t installed plumb. All this crap for 17k and a years worth of nightmares. I have a whole folder of pictures but can’t post them. Time to lawyer up.
Horrible
The company could listen to their customers instead of overstepping their boundaries. They wanted to do what was best for them, not me.
Not at all worth the extra expense. Poor quality control.
At intial install on a rainy day, they didn't inspect new windows. Had both of our original windows out before they discovered BOTH new windows had defects-broken glass and scratches. They had to reorder. New windows arrived, but at install, one replacement was found to have scratches on interior paint of grid-and the grid was poorly fit-with noticable gaps between the grid and the frame large enough to insert a penny into. We reordered TWICE more to "fix" the issue. Months later, the fourth window, which they allegedly unboxed and inspected-has the same issue. We received a small discount-but what a headache. They charge a premium and don't deliver on a premium product.
Needed help installing
Only one installer came to replace our outside doors. He could not get the doors into the frame, so I had to help him with my bad back and hip. Then he broke our outside lights but never said a word about breaking the fixture. Next time I will use a local contractor with real installers.
False Misleading Predatory Sales Tactics by this company
A sales rep from Renewal by Anderson Windows came to visit my wife and I at our home. While presenting us options for purchasing windows, the sales rep mentioned several times a tax credit of over $20,000 after from that we chose to do business with Renewal by Anderson.
Once we agreed to purchase the windows, we were then directed to GreenSky Lenders for the loan to purchase our windows. It was approved, and this started the process for our windows to be manufactured.
In March 2023, the installers arrived at our home to install our new windows. The installers installed our windows in one day and transformed both the appearance and the energy efficiency of our home.
The install was complete and our home looks and feels great. In 2024 we reached out to Renewal by Anderson Windows for the required information to take advantage of the tax credit that we were informed about by their in-home sales agent.
The first document that Renewal by Anderson sent us showed a tax credit of $5,600, which was far less than what the sales rep told us in our home during the visit when we agreed to purchase the windows.
We inquired with Renewal by Anderson Windows to get a better understanding of the difference between the amount that we were told initially versus this new amount of $5,600. Renewal by Anderson sent a revision for the tax credit amount in a separate document for $24,123.
In the conclusion of it all, the tax credit that we actually qualified for, according to our state’s tax code, was $600 — and not $5,600 nor $24,000.
If it had not been for hearing the amount of $20,000 repetitively by Renewal by Anderson Windows and Door Company for our estimated tax credit, we would not have purchased the windows from them. We would have kept the old windows we had before the contract, loan, manufacturing, and replacement.
We have contacted Renewal by Andersen several times about this matter and their short answer each time is it’s the customer’s responsibility to know the tax code in their state. My contention is that if it’s mainly up to the customer to know, then the sales rep should propose the information. During the sales rep’s visit to our home we would’ve not known to ask about a tax credit, and the sales rep proposed for us to wrap up the deal that day; the only information we understood about tax incentive was what the Renewal by Andersen employee gave us.
If in a car dealership a salesperson repeatedly told a customer they had a specific discount coming as a tax credit which gave incentive for the customer to make the deal, if this tax credit never materialized it would be a problem.
Renewal by Andersen seems not to be concerned with predatory sales tactics from their sales representatives.
The companies actions were also questionable by sending us two different tax incentive amounts when we requested the paperwork to file our taxes, all of this is highly suspicious.

Renewal by Andersen, not consumer friendly
Note: The windows in our home were installed before we moved in and the warranty expired a few years ago. One window stopped closing all the way. So in my quest to find which component of the mechanism went bad, I had to contact Renewal by Andersen whereupon a fellow in New York to the identification number of the product, informed me of the pricing system involved: $195.00 to come to our home and assess, Payment via credit card in advance, Ordering of Part and payment in advance, and $195.00 payment in advance via credit card to again come to our home to install. Instead of identifying the part that is defective, the tech ordered the entire mechanism at a cost of $158.00. All in all, taking from us 0ver $500.00 just to get the window to crank open and close. While it is commonly know Renewal by Andersen is expensive, when one's warranty expires, the cost reaches prohibitive, at least for us.
The worst business ever seems too good…
The worst business ever seems too good to be true more like a scam low quality very dishonest business definitely Are very desperate for business I wouldn’t recommend them NOT even to replace a doggie door. We live on a beautiful street with nothing but custom homes and no we do not have double hung windows. That tells you how much they’re desperate for business and their dishonest. There’s nothing on our street that uses those type of windows they must have the wrong street not good😏 Read their reviews they have tons of bad reviews 1.7 That is a bad score
Great sales representative Dylan
Great sales representative Dylan, great installation team who measured, and installed. All together of the three companies I called in Pella, Magic Windows and Renewal by Anderson, I have no regrets! Renewal fit all my requirements! An amazing job and all around a great experience and product. I have been in the sales for many years and Dylan was great! The installation superb! At the end of the day you get what you pay for! Windows are a major life long investment. Be realistic about your budget. Thank you Renewal!
AVOID RENEWAL BY ANDERSON
AVOID RENEWAL BY ANDERSON! Renewal by Anderson is not only a rip-off company but they insult a person’s intelligence with their high-pressure sales practices. After seeing a television commercial offering a 40% discount on a multiple window purchase, I called Renewal by Anderson to schedule a consultation. BIG MISTAKE! Once the salesperson got his foot in the door, I could barely get him to leave without consenting to a purchase. He was in my house for more than two hours. The scamming started from the get-go. He started his sales pitch by stating, “I can beat the deal you saw on tv.” Then he went on to tell me how superior the windows are, which I’ve since discovered IS NOT TRUE. My daughter recently purchased a house with Renewal by Anderson windows and doors, and they are relatively unsatisfactory. Next, he gave me a quote for the products which was over twice as much as other estimates I’d gathered. When I said, “no thank you,” he began adding discounts. In fact, he did this multiple times, but even his bottom line was way higher than any other quotes I’d received. What a SHAM! This is a public service announcement.
This has been a horrible experience
This has been a horrible experience. Six weeks ago I called to inform Renewal By Anderson that the lock on our back slider door was not functioning properly. They sent a technician to come take pictures and confirm that the lock was broken. He left, said he would order, I would be contacted. Later I am informed that it will be 6 weeks to receive a lock..what? They don't maintain inventory?! So I wait. The Technician comes today and did not have a new Lock Cylinder with him! Lock still does not function which causes us a HUGE inconvenience! I can only imagine if I needed the door replaced. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. I would not recommend.
The commercials are nonstop day after…
The commercials are nonstop day after day on TV so you have to wonder why beg for business. Flyers are always showing up in the mailbox saying there are installers in the neighborhood doing a job for a neighbor. As a homeowner I have owned more than one house in my time and those flyers find their way to every house I have owned in different neighborhoods so that's just a load of bologna that there is someone installing windows, doors, etc everywhere I live. Just think if you decide to move to Santa Claus address then they will send you flyers to his workshop as a Christmas list saying they are in the neighborhood installing windows and doors in the neighbors igloos... What a joke and with the bad reviews I would never even think about buying anything from this company
beware of this company
I ordered 9 windows in Nov 2024, the representative spent 3 hours showing me the windows. Then a second representative went over ever thing, the wrong color was ordered, he caught the error. They told me they would arrive about Christmas. They arrived in Feb 2025, I would have never ordered them if I had known. I took off work as I was told the installation would be 2 days. They arrived and took two windows out, the installer in charge was saying this isn't right, this is not going to fit, and I asked what is going on. Long story short, they ordered the wrong windows. Didn't tell me until they were leaving on the first day and only put 2 windows in the whole day. The installation took, 4 days, I had to get a neighbor to set at the house because I hadn't planned for 4 days off.
I asked for the supervisor to come talk to me and tell me what was going on, he never came. I have since asked for a supervisor to speak with me no one will call or talk to me.
The end of all this mess is, windows were installed that I did to order. The installer didn't know how to do some of the work and he told me he called his supervisor and told him he did not have experience in what he was asked to do and that he felt inadequate.
Today, is May 13,2025. I have the wrong windows, a sloppy job, and the run around. I have called numerous times I talk to the concierge, who if very polite and sympathetic but gets me no where.
Their lifetime warranty means nothing as they are unreachable
This is the second time I've had doors installed by Renewal by Andersen. My first experience two years ago was smooth and pleasant. Unfortunately, this most recent experience has been extremely disappointing.
I chose to pay for the project upfront rather than finance it—something I now regret. I’ve learned the hard way: do not pay in full until the final inspection is completed. The crew that installed the sliding doors and window did a good job, but things went downhill from there. A representative briefly stopped by, looked over the work, and insisted that I pay the full balance immediately, even though the official county inspection was still pending and the window frame could not be completed until after that inspection. She promised the inspection would be scheduled within 10 days, but after that visit, she became completely unresponsive to both calls and texts.
I was then directed to contact someone else in the office, who also failed to return my calls or respond to voice messages. Eventually, I received paperwork from the county, and someone from the office left me a voicemail to schedule the inspection. I returned the call immediately but never heard back. It has now been over two weeks with no response.
The customer service has been appalling. It feels like once they’ve been paid, they no longer care about the customer. What good is a lifetime warranty if you can’t reach anyone for support? Based on this experience, I would not recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone.

We received a 7,000 quote for a replacement patio door. Same door at Home Depot was 2,500-3,000. What a disgrace. SENIORS BEWARE!
Misrepresented windows.
In tucson area had windows installed by renewal by anderson. Bathroom windows were not what we ordered. When complained about them they tried to put off talking to us as long as they could. Finally talked to them and they stated nothing we can really do. We are still fighting with them months later. Our friends and family that have seen the windows have stated they will not never use them. Don't use this company. The salesmen are horrible at their job.
