AVOID !!

A very good friend of mine has just a had a van conversion carried out by this company and I can honestly say it is the worst work I have ever seen.

Some of the work could easily have led to s fatality if not detected.

The worst part is that the guy could not and won’t accept that his workmanship was so poor so there is no chance he will get any better.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

1 star – Disappointing experience with poor workmanship and unprofessional service
I used Rennova Campers (Derbyshire) for a bespoke campervan conversion. While the bedframe and diesel heater were eventually made safe after issues were raised, several serious problems remained:
• Diesel heater initially installed without an exhaust (significant safety concern).
• Seat setup not MOT-compliant.
• Wrong size boarding used throughout.
• Heater and battery placed arbitrarily, not per agreed layout.
• Wrong curtains fitted poorly, resulting in extra/unnecessary holes drilled into my rear doors.
• Scratches and marks left on new frame and boarding.
Additionally, inappropriate/discriminatory comments were left on the seat frame area.
When I contacted the owner (Jake) to discuss concerns, the call ended abruptly with him telling me “not to be a d**k.” I sent a formal written complaint with photos and evidence, requesting rectification or compensation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. No response was received.
I’m going to have to arrange and pay for independent fixes. I’m now pursuing a small claims court case to recover costs and address the breach of contract/poor service.
Their promotions highlight high-quality, detail-oriented work and excellent customer satisfaction, but this did not match my experience for most of the job. Potential customers: Get detailed written specs, staged payments, and consider references carefully. Happy to DM photos/details to anyone researching them.

Think twice!

Having seen evidence of a recent build by these guys I would seriously advise anyone to think twice about letting them work on your van! Not just poor quality but potentially dangerous. No exhaust on diesel heater and hole in floor beside it. Inadequate bolts and no spreader plate securing rear seats. Add to that van handed back to customer with sawdust and blood stains.

Poor aftercare and questionable ability.

Incorrect installation of ceiling fan leading to a leak. I had to pay another company to reinstall this.

An issue with the diesel heater has not been resolved, infact the builder is no longer communicating with me. I likely need to pay for a new diesel heater.

Summary: Check reviews for aftercare / how issues are resolved.
