Review about the support

This review is more about the service than the product itself.

So I ordered it online and were browsing through the products. I put the lens for my canon with the specific mount into my shopping cart. I also went a little back and forth in the online store and I didn’t check when I checked out and bought it. A couple of days later I noticed that I had put the wrong mount into my shopping cart (a Sony mount) so I contacted the support by email and got an answer right away. Nelzon managed the whole process for me and was very kind and understanding throughout the process. He managed to change the product before shipping in one day. I’m very happy with the outcome and his effort.

I’ll provide an update about the product itself when I got a chance to test it.

Amazing customer service great products…

Amazing customer service great products the retro vintage glow mist filter is amazing especially paired with my FUJIFILM X-M5 also the disposable film camera lens is great for capturing those retro 80s film style images, overall pleased with these two products and would recommend them to photographers who want that retro vintage and soft mist style in your photos 👍🏻

Is exactly what they say it is.

It is exactly what they say it is. It feels a bit weird putting a peice of plastic on the front of an expensive camera. But it does the job no more no less

Great products and customer service!

I purchased a few products for my partner as a gift and was really happy with the outcome! Bag, lens and accessories were great quality and exactly as pictured/described. I did opt to return an item he wasn't a personal fan of and Nelzon was so incredibly helpful in offering several options for return/refund. Really happy with my purchase and experience!

We ordered the wrong size lens

We ordered the wrong size lens. Retropia was so helpful by sending us another correct lens immediately without us having to return the other lens. They were very kind and understanding and just wanted to make sure we got the correct lens as soon as possible.

They are deceptive

They are deceptive. Do not use.

I ordered on the fact that they portrayed themselves as a UK company. My order took several weeks to arrive, as it shipped from China. It missed the occasion that it was intended.

When i emailed the company, the response was friendly and personalised. After some correspondence I confirmed that I wished to return the unopened product ( I haven't even opened the mail packaging). They offered me either to return it to an address in the USA, telling me that I would be liable for the huge postage costs, or they could give me an immediate 25% refund.

I asked for the 25% refund. No reply. For several days. Yet my original correspondence was answered within a few hours.

Im going to return it to the sender address on the package and will get a charge back as the company appears to be a scam.

Great Customer Service at Retropia!

The customer service at Retropia has been top notch. I'm still waiting for my package - I'm writing because I had ordered the Oreo lens from Retropia on my iPad which I rarely use and didn't realize that my shipping address saved on there was my old address - my house burned in the Altadena fire. I used the ApplePay and it automatically locked in my address and confirmed the payment and I saw the wrong address and panicked. Retropia's customer service - especially Nelzon, was so kind and understanding and they worked with me on changing the address with the shipping courier and updated me when it was taken care of. Thank you Nelzon! I can't wait to try out the lens now that it's actually going to get to me!

I purchased from them 1 year ago and still get my inbox spammed with affiliate link "updates" for a program I never signed up for.

They will email blast you and no amount of unsubscribing will make them stop.

Great gift

Lens took a bit longer to arrive (shipped from China) and a minor issue when fitting. Reached out to customer service and got a response within 24hrs. Issue resolved! My friend who I gifted this to loves the lens and the photos really look like they were taken on a film camera.

You sent me a lens that doesn't lock…

You sent me a lens that doesn't lock in.

the managers explanation below via the customer service rep.

"He explained that this behavior is considered normal for our lenses since they are designed to support multiple camera models and mounts. Because of this, some units may lock differently depending on the camera body being used. In some cases they may not fully “click lock” like traditional modern lenses, however they are still designed to stay securely attached through friction fit."

Where is this mentioned on the website? This product is not sold as described. Friction fit for camera lenses is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

Refund is only offered at 40% otherwise I have to ship to germany? Bullshit.
