They took £298 only noticed this payment of £2 followed by a full payment ,on her statement with no receipts . Would like to know how others were able to obtain a refund for unauthorised fraudulent payments ,
Absolutely disgraceful full of con artist , should be closed down

Got a call from Lloyds bank fraud…

Got a call from Lloyds bank fraud detection dept.
These scammers had tried to take £299 out of my 89 year old mothers bank account.
They said it was set up via internet , but mum doesn't have internet access.

Claim your money back!

I was checking my elderly parents bank account and found multiple payments to this company and associated companies.
I got a copy of the 'sales' call which was disgraceful and clearly just trying to get money off vulnerable people.
Thankfully, I have managed to get all the money back after going through bank statements for the last 4 years.
Please check your bank accounts and if they are taking money then get it claimed back. They are vultures

This company prey on the elderly and…

This company prey on the elderly and vulnerable. It is unclear to me how but they take a £2 debit payment and then when that goes unchallenged use the banking detail obtained to set up £299 direct debit for rewards scheme that the individuals have no use for and I suspect in most cases no actual realisation or knowledge of. Fortunately by chance my mother-in-law bank spotted the issue and blocked the direct debit for which she had received some innocuous looking 4 page flyer which hides the Direct Debit agreement at page three with the words" We hope you love your Rewards VIP Club Membership! To avoid disruption to your member benefits and as agreed to over the phone, we will convienienty charge you an annul fee of £299 on '## month year".

Criminals

These guys have been taking money from my Mums account (she’s elderly and has dementia). No idea how they’ve managed to get hold of her details. Appalling.

Vultures

My Mum, who suffers from dementia, had recieved a phone call from Barclays Bank regarding suspicious activity.
It turned out this company, Rewards club VIP, had somehow got her to sign up to its £299 annual subscription. Thankfully due to Barclays we managed to stop it.
Absolute disgraceful behaviour.

Avoid

This company prey on the elderly buy whatever means neccessary to get their money.

Mother in law may have unknowingly clicked on something that cost £2.00 leading on to an attempt by rewardsvipclub to take a further £299.00

Emailed the company after spending an hour on the phone to the bank to try and get this resolved, resulting in the bank blocking her card, which causes incredible stress and worry.

After speaking to the comapny, they could not give any information as to how they deducted the initial £2.00

Companies like this should be ashamed of there business practices in trying to scam people.

How many others have paid £2.00 for nothing in return.

All reviews tell a similar story.

Whilst checking my cousins (97 years)…

Whilst checking my cousins (97 years) bank account noticed a payment to this company of £69.99 via Debit card payment, went on their website and spoke to someone called Harry, he informed me that my cousin had agreed to sign up to this on the 8th August 2024, took her debit card details at this point, he said the payment was a one off for a VIP discount scheme, there has been no correspondence from this company saying they are going to take this payment, these people are praying on the elderly and getting the details over the phone and then taking money for services that the recipient doesn't even know they have, he has assured me that they will refund the money, if this does not happen I will have to go through to the Banks fraud department who will take it further
I find this disgusting praying on the elderly like this

No stars review

If I could rate no stars, I would. My 88 year old dad scammed by this lot! Totally appalled that they would target the elderly. Thankfully my dad showed me the letter and I managed to intercept the payment being taken. £285!!! I’ve asked for the voice recording of the phone call to see what’s being said. Where are the morals in this company? Why is something not being done to stop this. I’m also going to get copies of information they have on my dad. This will cost them money and waste their time. This has got to stop! Our elderly and vulnerable people are precious to us!

Very Dubious

Well, my complaint about this company is two fold. somehow money was taken from my account and declined without my knowledge. then 299 pounds was taken and fortunately was refunded, all without my knowledge. A, I think my banks security is not up to scratch, for letting this happen, but how I got all my money refunded, I'll never know. Tried numerous times to contact them, but to no avail.

No more than a scam company

No more than a scam company. Badgered my elderly brother, ( also mentally impaired) and conned him out of £300. ( more than stated on website)
And the best part is he doesn't use hardly any of the shops listed and has no access to a mobile phone.
Clearly, this company did not carry out on research on my brother and just want to bank the money.
Avoid them at all costs as they have no morals and should be ashamed of themselves.
