Took Econ lessons for my A levels (AS) this year and I found the feedback on my Economics homework extremely useful, especially because it's hard to mark my own work. The explanations on where my responses went wrong, along with examples of strong answers were invaluable in helping me improve. I also really benefited from how we reviewed school tests together and reflected on how to do better. This approach genuinely contributed to my AS-level grade (U1: 92/100 UMS & U2: 100/100 UMS), and I'm so grateful for the support!

Sam is a great tutor in Economics. He is able to explain complex concepts in a straightforward way. Last year, I had difficulties with applied economic models, but with Sam's help, I quickly became familiar with the models and I significantly improved my grades.

I had little help at school, and my grades were stuck at a B. Sam completely turned things around — he knows literally everything about economics and explains it with constant real-world examples that actually stick with you. He made the subject make sense for the first time. Thanks to him, I went from a B to an A*, and honestly, without his help there’s no way I would’ve got the top grade. Can’t recommend him enough.

In my year 12 end of year econ exams I achieved a C grade and for the start of year 13 I was consistently getting Bs and Cs. I just wasn’t able to break through to an A. I started online lessons with Sam just before Christmas. With his understanding and experience of the subject beyond the syllabus and more importantly his familiarity with the exam technique needed to answer each question, in just a few lessons I started scoring Bs and my first few As. Every week leading up to the exam Sam set homework tasks to revise, giving personalised feedback every time and tracking my progress making sure I understood everything thoroughly. I went from dreading econ lessons to genuinely enjoying them and on results day I was pleased to have achieved an A*. Great tutor, can’t recommend him enough.
