Transformers V Dinosaurs
Spent the day at Blyth Beach with my two children and it was great atmosphere! Plenty for the kids to do and we enjoyed every minute. We won some free ride tickets, food and donuts which was really kind! The Transformers and Dinosaurs were also fab, kids were over the moon. Love day out all round!

I see some reviews on here which are just not on. Not fair to blame anyone for weather. The company made everyone aware this was a weather permitting event. We understand like the majority but the way social media is people are more inclined to right a bad review if there not happy than someone to leave a good one if they are happy.

Brilliant company, have attended multiple events ran by this company and always a great family day out. Would highly recommend.
CON ARTIST- AVOID
CON ARTIST, AVOID COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Had the misfortune of attending Northumberland "balloon" festival, not sure how you can hold a balloon festival with no balloons. paid >100 for tickets for the Saturday and saw one advertising balloon part inflated for less than 10 minutes. Aware that the weather wasn't the best and kept checking facebook page for updates as we were travelling from near Whitby with 2 small children so if we were told there was going to be no balloons would have cut our losses and not bothered to travel, update by Peter Richardson at 12pm who stated light drizzle but everything would go ahead as planned and would update again if things changed, no further updates added to the facebook page. Got to nearly 6pm and we left as there was nothing happening, he knew there would be no balloons but as the fairground rides belonged to him didn't want to tell people this as that would mean he would lose money from us poor mugs who would be stuck in a field with nothing else to do. Absolutely disgusting. Had time to delete negative comments from facebook and block people who were speaking the truth about the shambles of the event he had put on. Issued a statement and blamed the weather, the balloon company and made out like the people complaining were stupid and couldnt understand that the weather ruined it, however the issue was with the lack of communication and the way he conducted himself dealing with backlash of this scam event. Family friendly event with no baby change facilities, no concession ticket prices despite it being advertised as a family event, the whole thing was just a money making scheme for him. News articles published were correct and hopefully the bad press will make people think twice about doing business with this company.
Would be no stars
One star because it's not possible to give no stars. Google their name and Northumberland Balloon Show for just one example of how they go about making a quick buck at the expense of decent people.
Dishonest, Unprofessional, Immature and Defensive.
If you choose to buy any event tickets organised by this company please do your research before you purchase. I paid over £100 for the Northumberland Balloon Festival and feel strongly that I was misled and conned. The event organisers set out the flying times of “up to 25 balloons” and clearly stated they would only fly if the weather permitted. Totally accept that the balloons were unable to fly due to the weather. The event organisers, however, advertised that outside of the flying times, the balloons would be tethered for “instagram pictures.” This was not the case and for hours upon hours there were no balloons on site, just a muddy field with overpriced fair ground rides. When these concerns were raised with the company via their Facebook page, all negative comments were deleted and individuals (myself included) were blocked. I have made repeated efforts to resolve this with the company director - Peter Richardson, to no avail, instead, he posts laughing comments on his page then deletes them. Extremely unprofessional, immature and defensive.
CONMEN
Absolute conmen from the monster truck show to the balloon festival with no balloons. Avoid any event at all costs
Really wanted to give a minus review
Really wanted to give a minus review. Absolute scammers. £15 per person to walk round a muddy field with over priced very average fair ground rides and really bad tribute acts (the website actually used the artists real names....im sure they will be thrilled being linked to this lot!). The field was supposed to be the location of a hot air balloon festival. Turns out the "organisers" were the only ones full of hot air and lies. Not one balloon in the hours we were there. No communication...just fobbing people off to keep them paying for fairground rides and food thinking balloons would eventually show (don't hold your breath). All negative but honest comments have been deleted off their Facebook page. False advertising scammers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
One star rating is extremely generous
One star rating is extremely generous. I have been to two events they have put on and both follow a similar format.
advertise an exciting and unusual event (eg monster trucks / hot air balloons),
charge for admission to the event
Don’t put on anything related to the advertised event until many hours after opening.
In my view they hope you get there early so you are inside their event and then they’ll you have hours to wait with only their expensive fun fair rides to occupy your children with.
At least with the monster truck show we saw a decent show. Albeit they didn’t advertise any timings for the actual show they just put an opening time. So of course everyone arrives at the opening time so they don’t miss anything monster truck related and then you re in an expensive fun fair.
At the Northumberland balloon ‘festival’ there were no displays of balloons or even anything balloon related until 4 hours in and then only one balloon went up for for a few minutes whilst attached to a rope.
Initial radio interviews advertising the event and press releases talked about 25 balloons and a festival of balloons. These served to get us to buy tickets but then they didn’t deliver on what they advertised.
if ever there was a company that…
if ever there was a company that deserved a minus rating it was this one. utter rip off, misleading false advertising. no response or offer of part refund for what was a flop of a "balloon" festival. even if they had refunded entrance money they would still have made plenty off the ripoff rides and food prices. hopefully their future bookings will dwindle in response.
Ballloon Festival Shambles
Terrible day on Saturday at the supposed Balloon Festival at Corbridge just a total shambles and false advertising to get your money and state no refunds under any circumstances well I think the amount of unhappy people that have basically been scammed deserve their money back. I didn’t pay almost £100 to stand in a muddy field spending more Money on the extortionate priced food and drink waiting for any balloons! There were none all day and weather was not bad until later. They attempted to put one red advertisement one up about 5.30 it was for about 10 mins then put away we gave up then and left then to announce later on fb anyone can use their Saturday tickets to go back Sunday!!! Do they really think anyone would want that experience again!! Shocking from start to finish
Dishonest Organisers
Spent nearly 4 hours at the balloon festival from about 12-4 with not a balloon in site. Was stuck paying for extremely overpriced fairground rides (£5 for bouncy castle after already paying the £15 pp ticket entry fee and £5 parking fee) so that our daughter could have a good day. When I messaged the organisers they said ‘many balloons were set up and tethered for guests throughout the afternoon and evening’ which was a blatant lie. I am told that at about 5 they inflated 3 balloons for a few minutes, this is hardly many balloons and hardly the afternoon. Honesty and proper communication would go a long way but I won’t trust any of their events again. This was absolutely not what was advertised.
Misleading
Misleading, untrustworthy company. All for money! Ludicrous terms and conditions, ie your not allowed to sell your ticket if you can no longer attend and if you do they will proceed legal action?
They delete negative comments on their spare time instead of addressing people's concerns
We were the “lucky” ones paid just £5pp…
We were the “lucky” ones paid just £5pp for the Friday night balloon festival when the weather was lovely.
However, despite the good weather, the ground opened at 5pm, 7.30pm they blew up one advertising balloon for 10mins, 3 took off never to been seen again, they blew the penguin up for 10 mins, then we waited 2 hours to see 6 in the night glow. Not the 25 they advertised!
Overpriced fun fair and food, terrible tribute acts and not much else.
But the poor people who paid £15pp for Saturday in the rain and saw 3 balloons for 10mins over 10 hours!
Loads of complaints on the Facebook page, all since deleted by the organisers and instead reposted Friday nights pictures over the weekend to make Saturday look successful too.
These people also organised the much criticised monster truck show so either they don’t learn from mistakes or are scammers.
Misleading advertising of Balloon Festival
Falsely advertised as up to 25 balloons but only 1 there on the day. Lack of information on social media. Messages to the company were either ignored or rude responses received. The whole event was a scam. Unprofessional company who are unable to organise a large scale public event - basically paid over £100 to walk round a field. Will be contacting trading standards over misleading advertising
