BROKEN SCOOTER INSTANT

my scooter was completely fine until it started beeping and won’t turn on, i’ve replaced the charger but won’t charge. now i’ll have to repair it for hundreds! can’t find any customer service i’d like to be sent a new one. i have a 12 month warranty but it’s broken so i can’t connect to an app to receive the warrenty please help

Bought appalling

I bought a green reel eletric scooter for myself 2 weeks ago and honestly had nothing but trouble. It constantly beeps 04 & 20 error and still does. Nothing had fixed it and I've not even had it a month, there's no way to contact reel or customer service either. I wouldn't buy from this company again.

I purchased a reel performance scooter…

I purchased a reel performance scooter for my sons birthday. It's was faulty out of the box. Reel and the third party seller refused to exchange or repair the item. Several hundred pounds out of pocket. I had to get another company to repair the faulty electrics. The build quality of the scooter is terrible. My son fell off his scooter as the folding mechanism became loose after a weeks use. And the scooter folded as he was riding. The kick stand fell off as did the rear mud guard.

Reel management dont tell me to contact your customer services as when I previously have you've refused to help. You and your authorised sellers are criminals selling a dangerous product.

What a blast

What a blast! Great fun and easily the best way to get to nearby shops/takeaways without jumping in the car and using ever more expensive fuel. Very easy to assemble; there is a connector tucked into the handle bars that isn't mentioned in the instructions although it was fairly obvious when looking at it. If anything it's a bit fast even on eco setting but then again I'm a doddery 58 years old so everything seems too fast for me. It seem solidly built and is easy to operate, I'm very pleased as it enables me to see more of the surrounding area. I'm having problems signing up to the app and the REEL website is down for maintenance. I hope to be able to get the app working soon.

Shocking company scooter was excellent…

Shocking company scooter was excellent for about 2 months then I the metal connecting the bit I stand on to the handle pole was coming away and was about a mm away from completely snapping which could cause a serious injury at 25 kph after struggling for weeks and weeks to get a response after sending pictures and speaking to someone who seemed really helpful I got an email saying that it was my fault this happend so it was not covered by warrant a complete farce

I'm only giving 5 stars as I've fixed mine and my partners reel performance plus scooters and didn't pay anywhere close to the 449 for it so can't really complain
But I'm here for the people having a code 10 issue
Or if the scooter feels asif it has a brake stuck on
So basically the scooters wiring under the foot board in my honest opinion is absolute shocking
You have 3 different types of connections but for 1 of the most relevant and important connections (HALL SENSORS)(green wire) on mine and my partners model thees are use to give the motor full and smooth operation.
Well these cables are connected by push fit crocodile type connections and has very poor connection with a idiotic half done shrink wrap around the 3 most important cables 1 hall sensor cable 1 accelerator cable and 1 controller cable
Well on ours I rewired the connections with screw block connectors and I can confirm thus has permanent fixed the code 10 issue as I experienced this within 10 miles of use of both scooters and fixed them with a bridge wire connect to each end via block screw connectors as the wires for the cables after the Croc type fittings are removed are very short so a bridge wire just gave me more wire to work with I connected all 3 main wires via screw type blocks and presto been perfect since.
So to summon up I had code 10 within 10 miles of use
Changed the Croc type push connectors to screw type block connectors
And here we are just passed 200 miles now without any issue at all
In my opinion if the wiring under the footboard was better they'd be perfect e scooters as the build quality overall
Hopefully this review helps someone out

Product not fit for purpose… avoid.

Please save yourself a whole world of pain and avoid. These scooters seem well built but are simply not Fit for purpose.
After only 8miles of use the electric controller failed. This was a result of the cable feeding the motor not being sealed of fixed correctly, which resulted in the cable wrapping around the rear wheel.
My lad ended up over the bars with a fractured wrist.
Customer services are polite but offer no solutions apart from hiding behind a warranty.
Also the Bluetooth integration is a joke. Seems packed of features, but is purely a gimmick.
£499 down the pan and one upset child.

After having one replaced and now the second one is broke after just over a month and is NOT used every day!! (child using it).

This scooter is inadequate is all aspects the frame to electrics.!

The customer service has been brilliant a shame the head of company can not hold there hands up and say there products are again INADEQUATE:

AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIS COMPANY DOESN'T REALLY CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

AFTER HAVING NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY UNTIL PURSUING I GET A CALL BACK FROM MELLONY.

I have repeated my issue of having a faulty goods scooter several times. After only riding it 4/5 times, the scooter is broken down and not fit for purpose. I have reported my issues and was hoping common sense would prevail however this does not seem to be the case as I feel like I am being fobbed off.

This is disgusting absolute customer service being given.

On 22nd April you were awaiting and requesting evidence from me to send over to the manufacturer to resolve. This evidence was provided. This has set an expectation that we would come to a solution. However today after questioning this, I have been told by Mellony she has not heard anything back from the manufacturer...you asked for video evidence and have not done anything about this.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS...NOT VALUE FOR MONEY...POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY....I ADVISE TO GO BUY ANOTHER BRAND LIKE PURE E-SCOOTERS.

Give the public/customers the actual facts.

Where is your sales ordering system….I’m sure you can locate it as with any other business this is easily done. Richard your MD asked for the serial no. that has been provided as requested.Mellony asked for evidence for the manufacturers have they come back with anything.

I can easily put the communication of email and the call conversations in public domain as your response it’s always standard.

Makes me wonder why your company name was changed twice.

You haven’t even offered to look at the issue.

SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE DON’T BUY REEL SCOOTERS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE FAULTY GOODS. CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT 2015.

Ride Reel is the best scooter ever

Ride Reel is the best scooter ever. The support service is the best ever.
I received professional service, even when I did not get the scooter directly from Ride Reel. They are just the best. I once again appreciate the MD of Ride Reel and the team.
I will recommend everyone, thinking of getting a scooter that should go for Reel Performance Plus. The feel is just the best and no scooter met the perfect design, very simple and elegant. I have used other scooters and I rated the Reel Performance plus 99%.

Wasn’t even lucky enough to get 2.5 miles out of this product

I have had a very poor experience already and would like to share the reasons why:
1) Errors found in the instruction manual on set up
2) No mention in set up of having to connect the cable to the display which I only figured after fixing the handle bar, charging overnight and still not getting any response on the LCD display. Disconnected handle bar only to find a connector tucked inside the handle bar.
3) Front wheel not aligned with the handle bar. I have also tried adjusting the screws located on the folding mechanism as described under the ‘Making Minor Adjustments’ section of the user manual.
4) Back tyre valve is too close to the wheel which doesn’t allow a pump to connect to inflate tyre.
5) Reflective stickers already peeling away.
6) Very poor uphill performance ( 2mph at a slight incline)
7) Links via the QR codes which don’t actually exist
8) No answer via telephone and email address listed for customer support which doesn’t actually work.
9)And most disappointingly, mechanical failure after only just 2.4miles. Never have I experienced anything break so fast.
10) Finally, managed to get a response from Mellony but had no response since. It’s been over 10 days which leaves me with no choice but to leave this review

With all of the above reasons, I have completely lost faith in the company already and would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.

Update in response to the reply from Ride Reel:
Although this scooter was not purchased directly from Ride Reel, it was brand new and sealed. Not second hand with any previous use as cheekily implied
