Great UEX

Great UEX. Great drivers. You need some help with routing. You make the same mistakes over again routing to streets with persistent construction (W 53rd).

I take Via whenever I need a ride…

I take Via whenever I need a ride somewhere and don't want to deal with the trains or buses. No more getting turned down by yellow cabs simply because of my appearance. I love the options of shared, express, or private rides. Pricing is reasonable most of the time and it's more often than not pretty reliable and accurate from pickup to drop off. I've referred several friends and acquaintances. No doubt about it especially late nights Via is my first choice for how to get where I'm going.

I took one star away which

I took one star away which, otherwise, would have been a stellar VIA experience. I had a VIA driver cancel at the last minute and I was charged twice( once for the canceled driver and the second, a correct charge, going to my referenced place I was given a ten dollar credit for which I did not know how to apply, nor did VIA apply it to successive VIA reservations. This experience was disapointing

Love Via!

Love Via!!

The only thing that bothers me is sometimes they will say 10 mins but it will end up being 20 to 25 which isn’t fun.

But other than that I love it!!

VIA sucks at every level and aspect of service

VIA sucks at every level and aspect of service. The only redeeming feature is its affordablity.

Billing:
VIA's ride bill and Tip bill have different, non-standard formats and outputs. Why can't thus be simplified, standardized and available within the app?

Pickup:
Forget at door pickup. VIA frequently inconveniences the patron to walk to a curb for pickup. If other car services can do a pickup at door, why won't VIA?

Drop-off:
Ditto as pick-up above.

Dropped / Cancelled rides:
I've had experiences where one after one, there have been three cancellations by VIA drivers.

This is an extraordinarily reason taxi…

This is an extraordinarily reason taxi service. The drivers are terrific and it's never been inconvenient for me to be dropped on a corner, rather than exactly in front of my location. In fact, only once have we picked up people along the way.

Via is an excellent car service

Overall, my experiences with Via have been excellent: great drivers, decent routes, inexpensive fares. The times that were not excellent were kind of crazy bad, but a lot of that had to do with the driver's incapacity to speak or understand English. Now, that's one thing if they speak Spanish. Many of us can speak or understand that. But these drivers were Chinese and Nepalese. My feeling is that there must be a base level of English that they understand and can speak or it causes a lot of trouble. Just my opinion from my many, many Via rides.
Again, though, overall: excellent experiences and superb customer service! I especially love that we can chat to someone if something needs to be addressed during the ride. :)

I always enjoy my rides with Via

I always enjoy my rides with Via. The cars are comfy, the rides are quiet thanks to the no/cell calls policy, and the drivers are great. I leave mysel extra time do I don’t get stressed if there are extra pickups en route.

Extremely satisfied!

Pick up locations are convenient and timely. Cars are clean, drivers efficient, polite and friendly. Although many are not fluent in English, they all are courteous.

Very reliable and a great value

Via has been a reliable and valuable ride sharing service for me and my family. I have used it regularly for over two years and it has been amazing. The app is very well designed, the cars and drivers are almost universally of the highest quality and the routes chosen are efficient.

Via is great when you’re living in…

Via is great when you’re living in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The prices you can’t really beat especially when it’s not rush hour or bad weather. Only downside I’d say are pick up times on occasion I’ve waited 20 minutes for a ride that will tell you 8 minutes away. I used to also have issues with choosing highway rides and the driver will take the local streets, but since beginning of summer via has really managed to listen to their customers. Satisfied customer.

Rates Are No Longer Any Good. Better Off Taking A Lyft

The way Via does surge pricing, it's almost as bad as Uber and Lyft, but it can't even drop me off at my door. It doesn't offer ANY discounts, or special deals. I've noticed that often the single ride rates are WORSE than what's offered by other companies.

Via started off as a beneficial ride share service, but now I don't see any savings.
