YEGO is making business

Charged €127 for a scooter tow 48 hours after my 7-minute ride. I parked at the exact designated spot where I found it — with video proof. YEGO's own infraction photo shows the scooter facing the opposite direction from my end-of-ride photo, proving someone moved it after me. When I pointed this out and filed a bank dispute, they suspended my account to cut off my access to the support chat evidence. Three agents over 48 hours couldn't even explain the charge. Their Trustpilot is full of identical €127 stories. Filed with OMIC Barcelona and GDPR data request. Avoid if you value your money and sanity.

Scammers?

I’ve used their services frequently and spent a significant amount of money over time, which is why this experience is especially disappointing.

I recently noticed several unexpected charges on my account, including nearly €200 for a fine I did not commit. Trying to resolve the issue has been extremely frustrating, there is little to no effective customer support, and getting a clear explanation has been nearly impossible.

After looking into it further, I found that many other users seem to be facing similar problems. This raises serious concerns about transparency and reliability.

I would strongly advise others to double-check their payments and be cautious when using this service.

I was a regular YEGO user in Valencia…

I was a regular YEGO user in Valencia for several months and generally had a positive experience — until an accident in September 2025.

While riding normally, a car pulled out from a stationary position into my path. The driver admitted at the scene that they had not seen me. I had to take evasive action to avoid a direct collision, which resulted in me losing control and being injured.

I required hospital treatment and continue to have ongoing shoulder issues months later, with further medical investigation still in progress.

Despite this, YEGO later charged me over €200 for damage to the scooter. I had already disputed liability and requested supporting documentation, including the police report referenced in their communications, which has not been provided.

The matter is currently under dispute with my bank.

In parallel, I have also experienced significant difficulty obtaining any clarity from the insurance process, having been referred between different parties without clear ownership of the claim.

This situation has been disappointing given my previous positive experience as a customer.

I hope YEGO reviews how these cases are handled, particularly where injury and disputed liability are involved.

They charge me twice for the same minutes

I I buy for 180 minutes to spend it in one day for 29 euro and I massage them and tell them until when I can use the minute they told me until 1 o’clock tomorrow and I still have this message in the account of Yego,
Then I use a 12 o’clock the last time I had almost 1 hour so I use that and then they take the money from me so I text them they tell me they will see and they will contact me back but they didn’t!
I rent the scooter in Nice south of French and now I block the account

Unfair charges and zero customer support

I rented a YEGO scooter in Barcelona this summer. When I parked it on a wide sidewalk (as their own rules allow if it’s over 3 meters), the scooter was later towed. YEGO immediately took €127 from my bank account for towing and “admin fees” — without waiting for the official fine.

Now it’s been over 5 weeks, and I have never received any notification or fine from the City Council. This proves there was no valid sanction, yet YEGO refuses to refund my money.

I have contacted them several times, but they keep sending the same copy-paste replies and take no responsibility. They closed my case even though nothing was solved.

YEGO’s practice of withdrawing money from customers’ accounts before any official fine is confirmed is unacceptable and unfair. I strongly advise others to think twice before renting from them.

I rented a Yego bike in Barcelona

I rented a Yego bike in Barcelona. 500m into the ride, the bike stops working in the middle of the road. I then have to walk 1 block with the bike to find a safe spot next to other bikes, although slightly outside of the zone, but in Montjuic there was nothing else close. While I warned them immediately of the issue, Yego is now making me pay the fine they received for not going to get the bike on time. So I end up with 130 euros for 500m with a Yego. Never again.

Horrible user experience

Needed transport, and thought (by mistake) yego would have an easy and smooth registration process. Not even close. The app freezes a soon as you try to upload the required documents. How can they have live an app that freezes in the registration!

Avis mitigé

Points positifs: application facile à installer et à utiliser, intuitive, scooters facilement localisables
Points négatifs: scooters pas très bien entretenus; absence totale de transparence de la tarification du temps de pause

Stealers

Due to a bug in their application, I was incorrectly charged. I spent a whole hour explaining the situation to their customer service, only to be met with indifference and condescension. Ultimately, I had to dispute the charge with my bank, and I’m still waiting on the outcome. Won’t deal with these stealers anymore !!!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I’m Australian and they don’t accept my drivers license. Told me I had to get an international permit. To which I did through the international transit authority. They did not accept it and did not give me a reason why. All they said was because it didn’t come from Australia. How am I supposed to get one from Australia when i am residing in london and travelling here on holiday.

2 years waiting

Got in an accident, the car bumped behind me and I fell with the scooter. I had my airpods in my bag and they fell out somewhere on the street. Needed to wait 2 years!!!!! to get a final reply from their insurance company. And they said no. This is really the worst service ever. Don’t use yego because they don’t care about us.

When Matilda called Fire Fire Fire!! & no one listened

The warnings here are like so many others - where we all mostly conclude “ they can’t be that bad “
And they are not - they are probably in Yego’s case a little worse . From my experience of running a account with yego I find the comments about the state of the scooters affirmed . Bikes with no helmets for passengers , helmets with no visors ( a serious issue in dusty streets like Barcelona ) and scooters looking shabby and in poor condition are common place. What’s worse if your finished ride fails to register as finished because of some signal problem Yego really will charge you for the next two hours hire time and that’s despite you taking a picture and uploads it to say ( yep you guessed it ) the ride has finished ! In Yego land I kid you not they have come
Up with a system to keep charging you . So even if your ride is finished in your head it’s not in theirs . The CEO Benjamin Viguier is clearly so far removed in his ivory tower that he has lost site of the company’s laudable aim of being Transparent ie one assumes this means being honest with customers and treating them fairly . Customer service at yego appears to be run by keyboard dictators who happily destroy customer relationships… as evidenced below by the scathing reviews sim Tread wearily dear reader when using Yego . The negative reviews are mounting probably because there are no checks and balances on the keyboard warriors who in the darkest hours evolve into dictators running the show - without the consequences… other than destroying a business they don’t own

Their parking rules are impossible

Their parking rules make it just impossible for me and do not make any sense. I have been charged my first 5eur fine but I guess it can go very quickly given how they behave

Here is what I experienced
1. I get warnings while I park the scooter in places used only by 2 wheels and absolutely not obstructing traffic
2. I get warnings even when I bring the scooter back to a place where I had already picked it up before
3. The support team is robotic and uncompromising
4. Representatives from the support team tell me to ignore the “P”'s on the map. Others tell me that I absolutely have to park in a “P” (which would make a large part of Nice inaccessible

I have stopped using the service
