I honestly thought this was going to be another Travis Mathew kind of shoe.. good on looks..absolutely terrible on your feet! I can't tell you how wrong I was. These shoes feel absolutely amazing. I stand and work in them 7+ hours a day and they are legit. Only thing I can't comment on yet is how well they hold up after time. They look well made though. I've already ordered my second pair!
Quality is awful
Quality is awful. Haven’t worn them too much and laces are already ruining the upper where they rub. Fit feels strange too with a very firm arch on the insole. Return of a second pair also wasn’t an easy process.
Mixed Feelings
I like this brand's footwear for their style and fit and have bought 4 or 5 pairs of shoes over the years. Twice though I have had to contact them as the shoes have started to fall apart after barely any wear. To their credit on the first complaint they immediately sent me another pair, which i still have and have never faltered. My latest pair of Monty Hi's started to fall apart after 2 weeks due to what looks like the glue failing between the sole and the upper. It's disappointing that this happens with a relatively expensive product that advertises itself as "built for life". I did try a different brand with a similar style but they started to fall apart too so i went back to Ridgemont. Maybe it's me!?!
Monty shoes not great value.
Used for occasional summer walks with the family and general data to day use.
The Monty line if shoes are meant to be outdoor rugged shoes.
The leather tore when caught it on something. Not had this happen with any shoes before
The foam used in the sole compresses and goes flat and misshapen after a few months of wearing.
Generally they start looking old very quickly.

No Customer Service- I placed an order and needed help with it. There is no actual way to reach anyone from customer service to help. There is no phone number and the chat only connects you to a "product expert" who is trying to sell you more products but can't actually access orders or help with any issues.

I got the Outback II and 2 pairs of Scapes (one for me, one for my wife). The outbacks get compliments every time that I wear them. The scapes are probably the best all-around shoe that I've ever owned. I wear them to work and out and about.
Ordered my third pair recently
Ordered my third pair recently. Selected the wrong size and customer service were quick to reply with a returns form. Easy to arrange pick up with Royal Mail. Placed replacement order and everything is perfect.

Purchased a pair of Monty Lo WP in May 2022. By October 2023, after a reasonable amount of use (at most once per week) the heels on both shoes are falling off. Really poor quality for the price. Notified customer care about the issue (with photos). They just offered me a 20% discount off future purchases without addressing the issue.
While the shoes look great and are comfortable, they don't last, so save yourself the money and choose another brand. That's what I'll be doing from now on.
No order statusyet
Just placed an order a couple days ago and haven’t received any correspondence from them at all. I’ve called many times and they never answer the phone and they have not replied to my email. Other companies will email you back right away and let you know the status and approximate ship date. After reading other reviews I’m beginning to think I shouldn’t have ordered from them.

The boots were ordered for winter hiking but at this rate I suspect wInter will be nearly over. No matter how impressive the boots look I would of thought twice if I knew it would take this long
Update Feb 2nd. A further month + has now passed and still no boots. The company had removed updates from their website after the last expected docking date elapsed. I hope someone from Ridgemont is monitoring Trustpilot and provides the response I am looking or full refund

Wow, wish I had checked reviews before I ordered
Wow! Wish I had checked these reviews before I ordered. My experience is identical to so many others! Unfortunately I thought the outback shoes looked so awesome I decided to pre-order this was back in August and I was told and early Oct delivery, in Sept they sent me a note to advise due to shipping delays this would now be end Oct early Nov, fair enough I thought. I really liked the look of the shoes, a few more weeks....
I have emailed on 20th Oct to follow up and got a response 7 days later advising they have revised the shipping due dates, at least twice since then, first end Nov, now mid Dec.
FFS! This is still assuming then remember my order back in Aug.
I have emailed back again this week but no response yet. I believe this to be a total scam and fraudulent. This isn't one instance, it's happening to many customers.
I hope the shoes are worth the wait, will consider editing my review if they ever arrive and I can tell you in the shoes are any good!

Great customer service
Great customer service. Needed to change sizes but the returns process was super easy. Very happy with my new boots.
Boots not very hard-wearing
Nice looking boots but 7 months on lots of stitching coming loose and the sole of one boot has split under the toes.
Would have expected them to last longer for £110.
Walk in the park yes, rough hiking no.

Your service abysmal. My order is currently 4 months late and my request for a refund have been entirely ignored.

I've not received a single email in response to my RMA from support, I've not received any tracking information, and I find it very hard to believe that the moment I post something publicly that the shoes are somehow to be delivered that day. If they arrive today, I will edit this review to say so.
