I gave one star to Right Cars because I could give this company less. Right Cars is a garbage, I booked a car from 06/12 a 06/30/2027 throughout Expedia. The car this company gave me was very good 2026 KIA Soluto, but with dead battery, I call and the owner wanted me to buy and change the battery by myself, but I said no because I didn’t want to spend more money on this company, after call and fight with the owner, he sent someone to change it laterally at the middle of the night. Also I had to pay to someone else for taking a family member to the doctor because the car didn’t turn on due to the dead battery. But wait, for returning the car they don’t have 24 hrs. service and they wanted me to charge more money because they have to receive the car our business time, besides of $900 for deposit and $500 for another car insurance that doesn’t cover anything because if the client has an accident it doesn’t matter who’s fault it is, the client always lose. I feel bad for the company’s employees the guy who attended me was nice, but the owner he is something else. I had the worst experience ever with this company. This company does not deserve to have clients because the owner is lack of care.DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL BUSINESS, THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

I Booked a car in Guatemala city, Not only they cancel my reservations, but they refused to give me my money back. on my opinion this is plain ROBERY!!!!!
Be aware, this company is as crooked as they come.

This company works with Expedia to scam unwitting customers. I was forced to pay $100 more for insurance, which then didn’t cover minor damage incurred during my trip. So I was charged $200 more by the company, which then refused to send me the information I needed to make an insurance claim.

Avoid this scam at all costs.

Scam you with insurance policy upon receiving the car. DO NOT GO WITH THEM under any circumstances.
Car was in awful condition, the engine would cut out, the brakes worn out.

scammers. they force you to take out insurance with them at very high prices otherwise they won't deliver the vehicle to you, even though we had already taken out specific insurance

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Yeah they’re the cheapest option but it’s for a good reason. They work through Expedia, and guess what it doesn’t matter if Expedia charges u for insurance, they charge you again and even more when you pick up the car. And it is obligatory not optional!!! They charge you a $900 deposit as well, and the guys said the gas was two lines under what they gave me so I would be charged. It’s a total scam, I would suggest you think twice before using this place… The car was old and not in the greatest condition, but they will find an excuse to keep charging you more and more. The guy told me to give him another 150 quetzales and we would be squared for the gas and a scratch the car had which he even said it could be buffered out. SMH!! Terrible experience, would never use them again!!!!

They were very transparent about the booking. Awesome service in Guatemala!! The papers that you sign is also very common in all car rental centers. I would definitely book with them again.

This is worse experience ever, the car broke 4 times, they sent a mechanic and he got there almost after 20 hours, found a broken exhaust pipe and the AC didn't work, was leaking and the heater (we didn't use) was corrosive and it rain and we couldn't use to remove the fogginess from the windshield when it was raining, we had to stop, later, the fourth the car broke it was going down and the car just died again, for no reason and I couldn't stop, I had to use the hand break and it was a big risk, it was a minivan for 9 passengers and swirls very ugly, we were so scared. They refused to give another car. And the mechanic's boss, lied saying the car didn't have nothing wrong that it was only the chain holding the spare tire. My family and I were place in a bad situation and in danger. Thank God, nothing major happened. I'll request a full refund.

The person who I spoke with was very helpful, kind and very knowledgeable and the person who delivered and picked up the car was very nice and kind.
They made the experience of renting a car very pleasant!!!

I booked my car through Kayak. The price I paid for at Kayak was not the same price Right Cars gave me. Additionally, the deposit I paid at Kayak was not accepted at Right Cars. So I had to pay the full price of a more expensive price at Right Cars. The car they gave me was old and gave me a problem during a long trip. I had to wait 2.5 hours for a new car. Additionally, for a small scratch, they charged me $555 to change the whole bumper. This is a terrible way to do business. I will not use them in the future ever.

WORST experience!! I’m writing this to let you know what a bad experience me and my family had with this company, we rent a car through discover car with a prefix amount, when we arrived at Guatemala City they charged us doble, the person in charge laughed at me when I said the amount for what a rented it, and told me if I didn’t want it to paid to leave and rent somewhere else, my family was already in the car with my son of 4 months and my niece of 3 years old,I was just frustrated and mad, what else was able to do…I paid a part when a booked it, they said they were 2 different company and that they don’t receive anything from it, later on we had an accident with the tire that blow up, first they didn’t want to come and help us they took 7 hours to arrived and changed it, again I was with my son of 4 months old and niece of 3 years in a route that we really don’t know if it was dangerous or not, thank god a car stop to help us and we arrived to our destination, they came later on to change it, even if I paid a full coverage insurance, were the tires are cover, i make sure to doble check that, they decided to charge me for the change of tire anyway, and we wouldn’t have needed a tire if the replacement one were good, the wheel was worn out, and we were scare if anything happened again not have another one! This make the beginning of my trip a really unpleasant time!! I DONT recommend this car rental to anyone!

Do not recommend. I paid online the fees and add an insurance. When a get there to take the car, they said they never received my payment and the insurance wasn’t valid. I had to pay again and add their insurance even if I had a proof. Really had a bad experience with the owner and with the renting car from A to Z.

I am visiting Guatemala I reserved this car and had to go the airport to pick it up. I was told that they would be there with my name waiting for me. I waited three hours standing outside of the airport no one showed up. I am a disabled person. I have one leg and had to negotiate with some people outside of the airport because all the agencies were out of cars. Do not rent from right cars. I called that number frantically hundreds of time, no one answered. I am going through Expedia to get a refund for the car I never received and right cars is not even answering them.

how to pay more than what i was told and the car i was given had several problems.
