I passed my exam in the first try after training with Aliyar. He is a very patient and observant teacher. Never loses his temper over the mistakes. Uses different means and methods to explain why something went right or wrong. He communicates well to understand what needs more attention according to your needs to make sure you build up the confidence. He is vigilant with booking the exams in a timely manner

Driving School Omw is awesome! As an American expat with prior driving experience, I needed to obtain my Dutch license because my American license had expired, and I couldn't go back in time. The instructor was fantastic, covering everything I needed in just a few lessons. He guided me through the quirks of Dutch roads and rules, making the whole process a breeze. I highly recommend it to fellow expats – I passed my test, all thanks to this instructor!

Aliyar is a fantastic instructor. I already had years of driving experience in Canada and now needed to apply for a Dutch driving license. Other schools wanted me to take an excessive number of classes, meanwhile Aliyar recognized that this was unneccessary and gave me a great crash course. He speaks perfect English and provides you with all the tips needed to pass the driving exam. I highly recommend him for expats as well as anyone looking to achieve their license in either Dutch or English.

I had a great experience taking driving lessons with Rijschool OMW. Aliyar, the instructor, speaks a very good English and is native in Dutch. This makes him an ideal choice for expats and internationals who seek English-speaking lessons.
The teaching quality is high and the tips and advices given by the instructor will be 100% helpful for you during the practical exam. I happily recommend Rijschool OMW to anyone looking for taking the driving exam in the Netherlands.

Not professional, rude and disrespectful

We have started the classes August 2022. The teacher rushed me into doing my theory exam. I gave the exam (it is valid only for a limited time) in October 2022.

After around 52 lessons (in mid January 2023), he told me that if I perform well in that lesson, he can book an exam for me for the next week. Then, every time, he came up with excuses that I am not ready. So, we continued with the lessons but it became not useful. I communicated this with him in my 58th lesson (end of February 2023) and I told him that I want a plan and structure. I don’t have a limitless budget to continue classes indefinitely.

When I communicated my concerns, I felt he became angry and aggressive about it. He told me that we should not continue with the lessons anymore, claiming that I don’t like his teaching style. I felt unsafe to continue with him anyway. So we stopped classes.

Today, I learned from a different driving school that you cannot book a practical exam directly, since CBR is usually booked fully. So you need to book the practical before several months.

So, I spent 7 months with Rijschool OMW and effectively got kicked out before getting an opportunity to give the exam. Note that, the school is also not too cheap compared to other driving schools in Rotterdam.

I don’t usually write comments on Google but I was shocked with my experience.

I had tried out two other driving schools in Rotterdam before I came across Aliyar, who proved to be an incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive instructor. He even managed to book my exam for an incredibly soon date, which I passed on my first try! I would highly recommend OMW Driving School.

Ali is a fantastic teacher! I've tried for years with other driving instructors and finally with Ali I found a person who really understands how to coach! Focusing on the exam from day 1 Ali got me every step of the way, building up my confidence and getting me the pass!

An amazing instructor! From my first class, Ali has always supported me and my driving, and given me effective driving tips that was so useful in handling difficult situations. He is always in a good mood and that also makes driving lessons with him so fun. He keeps track of your progress each lesson so you know the things you need to work on and it was nice to see improvements every week.

Aside from driving tips, he also encouraged me mentally and to never give up during the driving exam. I would not have passed my exam on the first try so easily if it weren't for his coaching. I've had several driving instructors in Rotterdam, but Ali is by far the best.

As someone who has driven before in a more chaotic environment, Ali was able to recognize the changes needed to conform to the Dutch roads and gear his teaching in a way that suits the you.
He was very patient and persistent and made me feel comfortable and confident up until the exam itself. I seriously doubt that I would have been able to pass my exam on the first go with a different school. Strongly recommend OMW Driving school especially one that can easily do so bilingually and with a lot of patience! :)

His style of guidance and feedback is quite constructive and I found it really helpful in improving my driving in the Netherlands. Would definitely recommend taking lessons with OMW.

Excellent choice for anyone looking for a driving school in Rotterdam. Aliyar has been a patient, diligent and observant instructor throughout my course; additionally, his English-language skills and familiarity with experienced road users are very helpful for expat drivers such as myself. Aliyar is a professional and patient instructor who speaks great English and knows everything you need to know about CBR and how they operate. On top of that, he is super flexible with class times, and his rates are fine. So I 100% recommend him, especially for expats.

I can confidently say that I had a great experience getting driving lessons from Aliyar! Totally recommend! The best instructor in Rotterdam by far. After many failed exams with other driving schools I got my license with the first try with OMW driving school. I’m incredibly happy with the result thanks to Aliyar!😌
