Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. Door bell camera started off ok. However, after a few months and buying a booster, it’s constantly going offline or not picking up movement. A waste of money. I won’t be subscribing when it’s due for renewal.

this company is a joke!!!

Honestly, steer clear of this company. Their products are absolute rubbish, just look at the other customer reviews. My devices haven’t worked for six months now. There’s nothing wrong with my connection, the app, my Wi-Fi, or my mobile network, but I still can’t view any videos.
They advertised that as a subscriber, they’d replace any faulty devices, but that was clearly a lie. It’s been six months, and they’ve refused to replace mine. All they ever say is that the “concerned team” is working on it, but they can’t tell me how long it’ll take. Six months! I honestly don’t think there’s even a proper tech team behind them. This company is a complete joke.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Still awaiting a faulty returned product to be scanned so they can arrange another to be sent. E Mail states that happens within 72hours of receiving the faulty product. It’s been 6 days now and nothing. Only getting told give it a few days. The company apparently doesn’t have a complaints dept , these are dealt with online by managers who are just as bad. Ring states it wasn’t their fault the doorbell was faulty instead they blamed the 3rd party where the bell was purchased and wanted them to write an e mail stating they had tampered with the product!!!!!! The people you talk to online are obviously in call centres outside of the uk and their skills need working on to say the least

Worst customer service ever!!

Talking to customer service was like talking to a brick wall, ordered 2 products on 5th Oct, said 3 to 5 working days, after 2 weeks, no update, I message them, told its normal to wait longer as its coming from Netherlands, couldn't tell me when it actually come, week later, still no update, called this time and they told me to fly to Netherlands to collect which was a joke. Week gone by again, was told it was normal to not get my product between 3 to 5 days, then told me to contact delivery company myself which in my opinion, they should be doing. Week gone by yet again, ask to speak to a manager this time who also said fly to Netherlands to collect, joke right? She then said she refund me and I can place the order again, told her the product is out of stock which she said give it a couple of days, also mention they honor the price I paid previously as it was on sale before. Again product still out of stock, and spoke to someone who said they have no clue when it go back in stock and mention they won't honor what I paid either so was lied multiple occasions. Whole experience been a joke really, no empathy to customer, no different to a computer, reading the same message of a script. Stay away!

Defective product and customer service

I wish I were exaggerating when I say this has been one of the worst customer-service experiences I’ve ever had. I bought a Ring camera directly from the company, and from day one the battery has lasted only a few hours. Fully charged, installed around dinner time — by 1 a.m. it’s dead. That means the supposed “security” system is nothing but an expensive decoration that goes offline the moment it’s actually needed.

When I contacted Ring, I expected accountability. Instead, I entered a bureaucratic maze designed to wear me down. Despite clearly explaining that I’m disabled with a serious spinal injury and cannot physically perform troubleshooting, they kept firing off template messages and step-by-step tasks that ignored everything I’d said. The replies are long, confusing, and evasive — pages of scripted nonsense that never once answer the simple question: what are you going to do about the defective product you sold me?

I even told them the drawn-out process was making me ill and asked them to hurry up. Their response? Slower replies, more irrelevant instructions, and still no resolution. It honestly feels as if their “support” system exists to delay, deflect, and discourage customers until they give up. Accessibility and duty of care clearly mean nothing to them.

Ring’s behaviour isn’t just unprofessional — it’s inhumane. Selling a faulty product is bad enough; ignoring a disabled customer and prolonging their distress to avoid offering a refund or replacement is disgraceful. The whole experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and frankly insulting.

If you’re thinking of buying from Ring, don’t. Their hardware is unreliable, their customer service is a scripted wall of obstruction, and their handling of disabled customers is appalling. I wouldn’t trust this company with my home’s security, let alone my peace of mind.

Incorrectly charged and no complaints process

What a terrible company. Tried to renew my subscription ended up getting charged for basic and a standard monthly subscription. Went through online chat who advised to cancel everything and they would refund. Ultimately charges shown, some which even customer services could not tell me what they where did not go through, but more hassle than it's worth. Will be looking elsewhere next year

Ring Cam issue

We had a problem with our ring cam ,the light was permanently on.
We contacted customer support who proved more than helpful, the technician was absolutely brilliant, very patient and talked us through possible solutions which were successful!

The reliable system until you need…

The reliable system until you need something.

Please be advised they do not cover 180 days as promised. In the tiny fine print they revert your settings to a basic 30 days. Do not tell you then patronise you upon phoning up to recover any footage. We got blamed, patronised then the Indian Rumi suggested we were stupid and trying to hide setting a changes. We have seven accounts in our family totalling 5+ cameras, ring plus protect systems etc on each. This is most upsetting to be paying £15.99 a month per account to be treated poorly.
We struggled to raise complaints, or be heard out on the technical queries. The UK call centre isn't a UK one this is for sure. Rumi, Ada and Mohammed were clearly reading off scripts and couldn't spell for toffee on the chat.
False information provided and promised what wasn't true. We had to phone up and request an English spokesperson to get any understanding of the situation.
0* would be the best outcome. I do not want to speak to a robot either.

Up your game ring. We will go elsewhere at this rate. £1350 a year on ring plans is shocking for this customer service sh1te.

Outdoor camera which isn’t waterproof!

I bought a Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro
outdoor camera. It didn’t even last 10 months before water distorted the camera lens, when I contacted Ring support I was told that the warranty doesn’t cover water damage. Which would be fine if they actually made a waterproof camera. If the product can’t handle UK weather conditions, it shouldn’t be advertised as an outdoor camera. I would not recommend.

Changed my phone number

Changed my phone number. Spent half an hour on the phone to change it. Accessed my account followed the instructions only to be locked out and code sent to my old number. How can something so simple and no doubt common be made so difficult.

Waste of time

Having issues with my ring doorbell for months, it's clear that the issue is between the bell & the app but after countless chats with them they still refused to accept that their product was at fault & told me to contact my phone manufacturer!! Never again will I purchase a Ring product.

Ring Doorbell Solar Charger Mount

This is a review of this piece of hardware - I have had no experience of dealing with Ring so can't comment on that.

I bought the mount on a whim then awaited its arrival with some trepidation having seen it rubbished in several reviews. When it arrived, I found fitting it a breeze - it screws into the same holes as the doorbell then the doorbell screws to it with four machine screws.

I read that even with the charger fitted I could expect a battery life of less than a week and that it could even shorten battery life. I don't know what these reviewers are doing with the doorbell to consume that much power. I have had it fitted to an east-facing wall for the last 2 weeks (odd bit of autumn sun) with a doorbell filming around 6 alerts per day. The battery charge has yet to drop below 100% so I am totally happy with performance.

Ring is one of the WORST companies we have ever dealt with

Ring is one of the WORST companies we have ever dealt with. Their customer support IS A SHAMBLES, you get NO support whatsoever and according to their customer service there isn’t even a complaints department. Most concerning is they have breach of contract.

We’ve had a ring doorbell for quite some time, it has worked really well for us. BUT, and this is a big BUT, when we signed up with ring our contract stated that footage would be held for 180 in cloud! Now we need evidence of a person on our property and a conversation my husband had with that person over the intercom, ring is saying they cannot provide the footage!
My husband spoke to a person, who said she was in Egypt, she told him that there was a default after 30 days and the footage we were requesting was no longer available. When my husband told her we had increased to storage time to the maximum 180 day, she just kept repeating the same thing. She had NO empathy for our situation what so ever and was obviously not going to help us in any way. When my husband asked to be put through to the complaints department, she told him ring didn’t have a complaints department. My husband then asked for the name of the chief executive of the company, she said she did not know who it is!

Returns department useless

This is the second review for the same problem.
After returning a faulty camera the replacement camera sent was faulty, I was asked to send that camera back this I did on the 17th October. After numerous calls nobody could tell me when I would receive replacement. Today I phoned again and asked to speak to a supervisor, after 95 minutes on the phone while she was checking I was told she had no idea when I would receive another replacement.
IN SHORT DO NOT BUY SECURITY CAMERAS FROM RING IF YOU WANT SECURITY.
