Good ring and no subscription

Overall I like the ring and the lightweight feel. I also like it doesn’t scratch. But the only downside is the app/software is a bit hard to understand at times. I wish it was a bit more to the point for dummies like me.

I got the wrong ring size

I got the wrong ring size and I’ve heard that the sizes are different than normal rings. So I reached out telling them I got the wrong size and asking if I could get a ring sizing kit and they did so. Their response was quick and polite. I love my Ringconn so much. I do recommend it a lot.

Best choice in smart ring

My wife and I reviewed other smart rings, and decided on the RingConn Air. We love it! It is giving us all the information we could need. The app is easy to understand and full of useful data. We thought that the price was perfect. We needed to exchange one of them due to sizing issue, and the customer service has been great.

RingConn is a fantastic company with a…

RingConn is a fantastic company with a great product! About a year ago, I purchased the Gen 2 black ring and wore it every day. After a couple of weeks, I noticed the battery was discharging too quickly. When the ring stopped holding a charge for a full day, I contacted support. They asked some questions and requested photos and videos. I followed their instructions, and they sent me a new ring right away.

Over the last few months, I’ve been losing weight, and the ring had been slipping off. Then one day, I lost the ring altogether. I kept using the app to find my ring, but I was never close enough to connect. My theory is that it came off in some paper towels after washing my hands, and I inadvertently threw it away.

I contacted support to let them know I had lost the ring, so that they could update their records with my serial number. Customer support responded immediately and offered a very nice discount if I purchased another ring. I was already planning to buy a new one, as I needed a size smaller, but the discount made it almost a steal. Plus, the ring arrived by the end of the week. Customer service also followed up with an email asking if there was anything else they could do for me before closing the help ticket.

I can't speak highly enough about RingConn and their application, and I recommend them to everyone who asks about my ring or how I track my activity with my Apple Watch.

I like the idea of it

I like the idea of it, but I feel like there are some issues with the product. It’s not very accurate with telling the difference between sleep vs sitting/laying down. So I’m not sure how you know what sleep stage I’m in. Again I like the idea and I chose this brand because of price, reviews and no subscription fees. I would not buy again and would not recommend.

BEST FITNESS TRACKER

Shipping was fast. Once I got my ring in the mail the instructions were so clear and then with my ring I love that it has accurate cycle tracking I got to delete the cycle tracker app that I was paying for and just use the free RingConn app instead! I recommend to all of my friends and love my new ring

Something is better than nothing?

The good: No subscription required.
Other than measuring your steps and heart rate during physical activity, the other metrics don’t appear to be very reliable.

Sleep: ineffective with recognizing when you’re asleep versus awake. As long as you are in bed, it is tracked as sleep. The feedback provided such as “the REM stage still has room for improvement”, isn’t something that you can do anything about, so it’s kind of, good to know. The oxygen monitoring during sleep is questionable, and could very well be that the ring at times is unable to get an accurate reading. Independent testing with a dedicated oxygen monitor shows that the reading is at 100%, whereas the app shows it dropping below 95%. There is also not much you can do when you’re traveling to different time zones as that affects your sleep routine and triggers a warning. It would be good to be able to input a reason for a change in your sleep routine. When some metrics are questionable, it is difficult to rely on the others, so, while the sleeping heart rate and HRV show graphs, I don’t have much confidence in the information.

Stress: The stress readings don’t correlate with reality whatsoever and having worn this product for over two years, I have observed a pattern. The highest stress level occurs around the same time, 95% of the time. It is usually in the evenings between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, when I am relaxed in a recliner, and watching something on TV. It’s not sports or anything exciting. The app does not show you what is contributing to the stress level being high, so the feedback you get that you “need to relax” is pointless, when you’re already as relaxed as you can possibly be.

Vital Signs: Questionable for all the reasons mentioned above.

Activity: This is probably the only measurement that may be reasonably accurate. It does correctly track steps, duration, and heart rate. However, from time to time, it senses that you’ve been cycling when you’re simply moving around the house. Under exercise where you can add a workout record, there is “outdoor walking” but no indoor walking (treadmill). I don’t know if there is any difference, but since there is a qualifier for walking outdoors, perhaps there should be indoor walking, or treadmill, as a selectable option.

Sleep Apnea: Nice to have, but how reliable is it? Probably better than nothing I guess, and a way to do some independent follow up testing if the readings are consistently negative.

This is a relatively costly health tracker, but I don’t have much confidence that it is serving the purpose for which it is designed.

There is a learning curve

There is a learning curve. I had to figure out how to add a workout. Still not sure it always records it as I go to daily workouts and it doesn't show things I added like swimming or yoga. So I don't know if its being reflected in the data. Also, if you are out of GPS range (which I usually am on dog walks) it stops recording the path

I love it!!

I love it!!

This ring is amazing! The battery life is great, the tracking is great, I get alerts for possible headaches which is pretty accurate and the cycle tracking is cool. I also like that you can take notes in the app for the ring as well. And best part of all... the app is FREE! No subscription! ** 100% not a paid review
