Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 191 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people expressed dissatisfaction with the product, citing issues with game balance, outdated graphics, and a focus on monetization through skins rather than game development. The user experience is frequently criticized due to a buggy client, poor matchmaking, and a frustrating ranked system that often pairs experienced players with new or underperforming teammates. Customers also report significant problems with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to communicate with, often receiving generic or unhelpful responses. The app itself is noted for being laggy and difficult to uninstall, while the staff are perceived as uncaring and prioritizing profit over player satisfaction. However, some customers were satisfied with the design and seamless experience of Teamfight Tactics, praising its animations and addictive RNG.

Riot Games is a greedy company!

Riot Games has been disappointing for a long time now.

They quietly killed Hytale development and shut down Hypixel Studios — a move that shows how they just bury anything that doesn’t fit their money-making plans.

League of Legends hasn’t really evolved in years. The gameplay feels stale, the graphics are stuck in the past, and Riot’s only focus is pumping out skins and battle passes to keep cash flowing.

Meanwhile, the Riot Client is a buggy mess.

On top of that, they haven’t released for a long time any real new games. Just some half-baked mobile spin-offs that don’t come close to offering fresh experiences.

Riot’s all about milking the same old franchises for as long as possible, with zero real investment in innovation or quality. After years of watching them, it’s clear they care more about profits than players.

Its a pure cash grab… More skins than ingame changes for both Valorant and League, introducing Casino like psychological tricks (for example the gatcha skins) to children at a young age, belongs to the most honourless things somebody can do… Also the game Valorant is in a horrific state, how is it possible that people spam the N word and dont get instantly banned (by which i mean the game closes just like when there is a cheater found) How can people throw as hard as they are without consequences… i think the answer is simple: the devs are working on new skins… :( Horrible human beings at riot…

Valorant

I've played Valorant for about 3000 hours in total. First 500 I used to think i just don't understand the game yet, nothing to sweat about. Next 500 i started to realize how many problems there are with this game. Next 2000 i really just played because of friends and because i wanted to hit immortal, felt like a chore.

Matchmaking is horrendous, if you install tracker and look at your teammates and opponents stats you could predict the outcome of the game in loading screen with 93% accuracy (tested). Matches are literally fixed at that point. The game will force you to have a 50% winrate if you play too well, it punishes you. Oh it is skill based matchmaking, alright! Just not the balanced kind.

Agents in this game are terribly balanced, there are agents on which you press a button to get free kills without thought or aim, while there are agents whose abilities barely do what they are supposed to.

Skins are so overpriced it baffles me people still buy them, 40 dollars for one gun skin i could get 5 skins in any other average game for that price. Personally i don't spend money on games, but i had to mention this as seeing how terrible state this game is and that the focus instead of fixing it is on 40 dollar bundles that don't even look or sound good half of the time is an actual insult.

Overall, terrible experience. Avoid if you can or you'll be stuck like i was grinding this failed rank system just because i wanted a cool red icon, which by the way was NOT worth it.

I am not here to throw hate of any kind, I play valorant on a daily basis, and I understand that riot is trying to fix the game, but it's not working. I don't believe that the game needs slight improvements here and there, but I do believe that the ranking system as a whole need to change, it's crazy with the losers and winners queue, rr gain, Hidden MMR thing. the whole system is bad and inducing negativity and toxicity among players. one day you are like winning all your games, the other you loose all your games, and it's all because the system pushes for the 50%win rate, which makes matchmaking system unbalanced and not so fun for casual players.

Riot have blood on their hands.

Horrible greedy company, that do not care about the toxicity inflicted on the players of their games. They literally have the blood of children on their hands from kid and adults committing suicide because of the toxicity of the games. And nothing has improved over 20 years. I.E they really don't care about the players, as long as the money keeps flowing its apparently worth a couple of dead kids... The leaders of RIOT keep coming out and talking about how much RIOT is working to minimize toxicity, but reality speaks for itself. It's just lies to save their own skin.

Keep away from RIOT and especially please keep it away from your children! There should be an 18+ restriction on all RIOT's games.

Riot Games is a predatory company

Riot Games is a predatory company, a model of algorithmic exploitation that turns its players into puppets of a completely rigged system. Riot's games are not competitive: they are staged performances where everything, from matchmaking to player performance, is manipulated to maximize engagement and spending.

Games Under Riot’s Total Control

Riot's incompetence is a myth they maintain. Bugs, balance, matchmaking… Everything is intentionally designed to manipulate and rig the game.
Every match is calibrated by invisible scripts that adjust the difficulty in real time. Matchmaking is not there to balance skill levels but to keep players in a cycle of artificially controlled wins and losses. Riot secretly integrates AI disguised as human players, further distorting the integrity of matches and ensuring predetermined outcomes.
The illusion of progress is just a trick designed to keep players hooked and frustrated, just enough to make them break and buy overpriced skins, smurf accounts, boosts, or scripts sold by Riot themselves.

Ladder and eSports: Lies and Manipulation

Competition is a farce. The ladder is not a test of skill but a rigged mechanism where Riot arbitrarily decides your win/loss ratio. The phenomenon is even worse in eSports, where matches are calibrated like a reality TV show, with favoritism and pre-established scenarios. Nothing is left to chance: everything is scripted to generate spectacle, at the expense of the game's integrity.

An Algorithmic Prison for Profit

Players are nothing more than lab rats, trapped in an environment designed to exploit their emotions and manipulate them psychologically. Every aspect of the game is optimized to stimulate frustration and desire, pushing them to buy increasingly expensive cosmetics, smurfs account, boosts and scripts that are Riot made. Riot does not sell a game—it sells an illusion, a lie orchestrated to maximize profits.

If you are looking for true competition, look elsewhere. Riot Games are nothing but algorithmic circuses, a massive scam that should be prosecuted for large-scale fraud and manipulation.
